Llandudno Junction and Station on 30th March 1995
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Llandudno Junction and station filmed from just beside the busy road overbridge offering a splendid view of Conwy Castle and the signalbox. What was a very pleasant albeit a bit windy day for the end of March I witnessed several class 37s on Crewe to Holyhead and return services. A ballast was seen in both directions with a pair of class 31s and a light pair of 31s. HST's were also seen and ending up with a view from the station platforms. The green class 101 DMU (101685) made 2 appearances. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.

The Class 101 in the green livery looks great.

We usually went to Llandudno by train for our holidays in the late 80s/early 90s, so I remember this well. Cleary remember the Class 151 being visible in the shed here around this time too.

Just watching it with my Dad who's recently come out of hospital loves your footage. What camera did you use this time?

@@spompey Thanks Mark I remember you saying a while back that you have overseas footage I sent that to him hopefully watch it with it. I've recently ordered an expensive unisheen VHS to digital converter told it will work on android so fingers crossed. I also brought a second hand SVHS machine tapes aren't cheap and unsure if I can actually see a difference too.

@@jackmilne9764 You should notice a difference in quality with S vhs as this was 400 lines opposed to the 250 standard vhs. Nothing compared to today's 4K resolution. European clips have started under the series European Railways of the 1990s and has kicked off with 3 locations in France. Lots more will follow in unison with the BR series. I hope your conversion goes well and works first of all...my experience was a matter of trial and error and it did work out a little costly what with the different hardware and their sometimes over promised claims. My best wishes to you and again so many thanks for your continued interest in the channel.....best regards...mark

@@spompey Hi Mark I commented on your other video in Belgium but I was telling fellow TH-camr nowt1002 about your JCV on these, you did tell me but I forgot what were you using on your mid, late 1980s and early 1990s footage?
My eBay purchase has a fault usb flash drive port basically caved in asked for a refund or replacement no reply. Funny instant response when I was enquiring about buying it.
