Good evening, very nice video from Poznan, thank you very much! What surprised me at the PKP was the mix of 1 and 2 level cars, a practice which does not exist in France. That being said, it's nice to see the materials in their original colors again!
@@HCforLife1 And do not forget the sick ! yes the trains were grubby, but even the modern trains are at the mercy of the Human Race unfortunately. It has always been a problem in the UK, but on the whole I found any where outside the UK much cleaner and perhaps more respect for the railway environment...many thanks as always and best regards...Mark
Very interesting video! Unfortunately in Poland we are experiencing the last years of „classic” rail. The EN57 EMU-s, SM42 loco and EU/EP07 loco will all be gone in the next few years, as well as passenger trains of the „TLK” category which consist of carriages that still have opening windows. Videos like yours are very precious. Greetings from Gdańsk :)
You are so welcome and so many thanks for watching and commenting...sad to see that PKP are going the same way as so many railways have gone....Best wishes to you...Mark
Sad to hear that , I lived in poland at the time these were taken and remember it so well as a uk citizen it was soooo cheap to travel for us , gdansk to krakow 1st class was abt £8 😮
What an amazing capture of 'modern' steam working and with those dark double deck coaches, it could only be Eastern Europe. So good to see the rail enthusiast being able to sensibly find their pitch and get the best shots without being corralled by H&S zealots! I much prefer the European attitude to railways, both in stations and out in rural areas - It's a railway, if you trespass or muck about you'll get hurt - your fault!

I'm not familiar with Polish railways, so that was very interesting 👍
Lots to come Liam.....many thanks as always....Mark
Now Poznań Main Station is horrible to film trains because the station building is located up to the railway tracks and is so dark here.
That is a big shame as Poznań is such an interesting location.....Many thanks and my best wishes to you......Mark
