    I have this system, only missing the 2lb rope. I like it a lot. I ordered it according to my size and its length is perfect for me. The handles are nice and solid with a fair amount of heft. The workouts will have your tongue hanging out at first. My only issue is holding onto the handles while using the heavier rope, you'll end up with a sore set of thumbs.

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ren, thanks for watching and sharing. The 2lb is a good addition of you ever feel like adding more weight. It really tires me out, though. You're right on the sore thumbs. I usually switch to the power grip to alleviate that. You're right about the workouts haha. Your comment about your tongue hanging out made me laugh out loud, because it's true. 😂💪🏾

    I'm totally new to jumprope as in three weeks ago was the first time I ever tried. I'm adamant to use it for my cardio for weight loss. I got the get lean set bc I heard the heavier rope is easier for beginners.
    It definitely made a difference from the regular pvc rope from Walmart I got.
    Bc the rope was heavier I could feel it better and it made jumping easier in the sense I didn't mess up as much and since I didn't mess up as much I could actually do a beginner workout and lemme tell you guys
    Do the same workout with a regular store bought rope vs a half pound rope and you feel the difference.
    Once I improve I may get the even heavier ropes

      J Logan, welcome to the fold. Jump rope has changed my life for the positive in so many ways.
      You're right. The Get Lean set is great for beginners because it's weighted just enough to provide proper feedback. It also builds strength so that when you jump with a PVC rope, you can feel the difference.
      Keep getting after it and keep making your gains!

    I got mine a couple of years ago.
    The handles got damaged after like 6 months and I got them changed for free.

      Pritam, it depends on your goals and how much you weigh/how strong you are.. How often are you using it? Is it too big for you? How much do you weigh? If it's been that long, it may be worth getting a smaller set like the Get Lean.

    Thanks for the great reviews and honesty. I think I finally compound a rope comparable to crossrope. Its called the "gratitude rope" by jumprope mom here on yt. However I found a copycat, or maybe she's a reseller of a amazon rope that I found. The ropes have a similar attachment system. U get 3 ropes and a nice carrying case. I know u can't buy every rope for a review, but if u had any opinion to share, I'd appreciate the comment. Either way, keep up the good work and thanks for the videos

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Divakenietha, my pleasure! I'm glad you found it helpful. You've brought up a great topic. From doing research and talking to an expert in the jump rope game, I've come to the conclusion that the Gratitude Ropes are a common design rebranded as various other ropes by retailers, one of them being Jump Rope Mom. I've seen at least one other person selling the same rope, but branded with their brand, on their IG. This is common in the jump rope business. What can make it tough to deal with is if the "rebranders" are charging people who don't know any better significantly more than what they're paying to buy the rope wholesale and place their brand on the rope. You never know for sure if people are doing that, but I have my suspicions with a few of the more popular rope dealers.
      This is nothing against Jump Rope Mom. I think she's a great inspiration and a skilled jumper; however, if you want something original and patented for only $20 more, I would go for a Crossrope.

    Can I easily put a knot in the 1/2lb robe?
    As I see you have knots in the 1/4 lb rope.
    Any help, greatly relieved.

    Hey me again decided to post my questions based on the videos of ropes I have or are interested in. I have the crossrope get lean set. Had it for over year now but I was wondering if I got the right size. I 'm 5'8 and got the medium like they recommended but sometimes I feel like ordering a larger rope would have given me more flexibility doing crossovers and stuff. It feels like I have to bring my arms in too close when doing crossovers squeezing my chest. I know its not a trick rope but I'm just curious.
    As for the handles for the get lean set it hate them. the shape is trash to me and just ordered the larger handles as a replacement along with the jump rope to test.

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What's good, Lo. I have the old Get Lean handles. My biggest issue with them is that they slip when my hands get sweaty. I think that was one performance parameter that Dave Hunt and his team sought to improve in the 2020 Get Lean handles. I haven't tried the 2020 Get Lean handles, but I do have the new Speed LE handles and the new WODPrep handles. They're far superior to the old Get Lean handles in virtually every performance metric, particularly sweat resistance.
      You probably should've gone with a size larger. I've found that with jump ropes and Crossrope specifically, it's better to err on the side of caution and go a size up unless your height falls at the bottom of their measurement thresholds. You can always tie knots. Stay up and keep getting after it.

    Does the price of the Crossrope Get Lean set vary in the US and EU? When I check from EU it says it costs $120 whereas most of the reviewers say it costs $80 or $88. Or is the difference in price due to the different 2019 and 2020 handles?

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nitish, good question. I'm not sure. I think that the price is the same everywhere. Right now, it's going for $99 USD on Crossrope's website. Anyone who purchased it cheaper than that likely used a coupon code. I hope that helps!

    • @nitish.shetye
      @nitish.shetye 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JumpRopeVeteran Thanks for your response! It costs $120 on Crossrope's website in the EU. I guess the increase in price is because they are shipped from Ireland and not the US.

    • @JumpRopeVeteran

      Yeah it must be different. I can't access their website from the EU side. Either way, it's worth it in my opinion! It's a great jump rope set.

    Ugh, I got mine last week and it’s just not working for me. I love the style but I feel like it’s too short for my DUs. I bought the medium size and I’m 5’9... it feels too small. How tall are you?

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh no! Did you get a medium rope? This is a common problem that I failed to mention during the review. A lot of people whose height places them at the edge of Crossrope's sizing charts end up getting a rope that's too small for them.
      Since you're 5'9, you may be right on the edge. I would call Crossrope and see if you can exchange it for a large rope.
      I'm 5'5. I ordered the medium rope but since my height is on the lower end of the medium rope's sizes, I didn't have a problem.
      It's always better to err on the side of caution and get a longer rope. You can always tie knots in the rope to shorten its length. A lot of people don't like tying knots in the Crossrope, but I've been doing it since 2018 and it performs wonderfully for me.
