    Hello again, I just wanted to update you as I have received my crossrope freestyle (Australia). In your review you pointed out the packaging was a con as it was all bunched up. It seems like they heard your feedback as they now packed it in a large circle and there is no kinks in the rope! Thank you so much for your review as I am now starting going to start practising! Thanks again!

      Grace, thanks for watching. You're right. They started packaging the rope differently. I heard that from a few people. I don't know if it was due to my review or not, but it's great that the rope is being shipped with no more kinks. Keeping getting after it and thank you for your support. JRTF. 🙂💪🏽

    Thanks should be from me. Thanks for sharing. I love pvc freestyle rope but my problem with it is it get super stiff during winter that it gets difficult even to do regular criss cross. This rope is no exception right? I have started to use pvc wire coated ropes though I don’t like them very much because of above reason.

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. You're right, this rope is no exception. PVC doesn't do well in extreme cold or heat. I've switched to mostly metal ropes for the winter because I also live in a cold area.

    Great review I like how you explained everything about the rope. I'm not a fan of it at all, I was a little disappointed. I felt like it spins slow, but I'm not good at jump rope like you to have the complete knowledge of jump ropes. You're absolutely right it's not a jump rope for freestyle tricks at all. Freestyle to the name is what killed the jump rope for me.

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Abram, I appreciate it. There are some disappointing parts of this rope, the name being the main one. It's hard to move like a freestyle rope and takes a lot of strength to whip maneuver quickly.

  • @marcocapaccioni2086
    @marcocapaccioni2086 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi man and thanks for the great videos!
    I already own the Crossrope weighted ropes set, I really like them but I wanted to get the "freestyle" one to learn some more tricks, since my forearms get tired rather quickly, even with the 1/4 lbs rope.
    Do you find this "freestyle" rope lighter to move than the 1/4 lbs Crossrope??
    And how about the absence of the release/bearing mechanism? How does the 2 types of rope differ while using them?
    thank you, greetings from Italy !

    • @JumpRopeVeteran
      @JumpRopeVeteran  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Marco, thanks for watching from Italia! Great questions. This rope isn't really a freestyle rope. The handles are too short and the rope is too heavy. I think that it's easier to move than the 1/4 lb, but that if you want a true freestyle rope, you should get either a Buddy Lee Rope Master or an EliteSRS Pro Freestyle.

    Great review man. I've bought a couple of these ropes as they're so cheap and I'm loving the workouts more and more with them as I find it a lot easier to mess around with and try new things since it doesn't hurt as much when I screw it up. Recently been using it more than my other sets. I think it's because I can size it properly. My form has improved massively since I started jumping in April and I bought Get lean, strong and speed LE sets all in XL. I'm now finding those ropes a bit too long, still very usable but some jumps are harder to do due to the length and my form improving.

      Ev, great question. I think this rope is better, and I have both. This rope offers cheap cord replacements, the cord has nylon material in the center, I think the handles are better, and it's better made than the RA rope/the Ampro rope. @@JumpRopeVeteran It worked great! It was easy. I removed the cord that came with the CrossRope Freestyle and replaced it with a 4mm w/ string cord from BuyJumpRopes.net. I have both the 4mm and 5mm replacement cords from BuyJumpRopes but only the 4mm fit the handles. The 5mm cord was too "fat". Also, I used the stopper ends that came with the BJR cord, rather than the CrossRope screw ends, which slipped off the 4mm cord. The jump rope now feels much more to my liking.

      @@tinalewis6782,great! I'm glad it worked. You've inspired me to try it with a thinner cord. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a great weekend!

    One of my favorites, weird, I have 45-50 ropes, of different types and price ranges...this one is one of my faves....
    Also, this is not an ad, but, for someone starting out, and ya don't want to spend a lot at first...the Dynapro (it's on Amazon) for $20 is great.
