Overclock doesn't worth it if you ask me as you'll increase global power consumption up to no real difference. Undervolt on the other hand can become handy, where you can manage a slightly overclock while you're at it while undervolting. Undervolt seemed tricky to me as until now, i didn't get the expected result. For questionable reasons, my card wouldn't reach target frequency and had feeling it's been underperforming. Either it remains at a variable frequency or is stuck at boost frequency. A bit harder than mastering art of CPU power's management, especially due to constraint of digging into bios with a different UI depending on motherboard's brand you chose. This video is for rtx 3090 ti fe but i suppose it works for classic 3090 too, right ? With joys of messing around, experimenting, i've seen some progress. Unfortunately, i had to go to sleep. I certainly will try to push a bit furthermore at a lower voltage.

Got a 3090 zotac triple fan, after the undervolt I can play Horizon Forbidden West easily at 60fps and 60ºC on a conventional cooling system! Thanks a bunch!

Yeah 24GB of VRAM are a LOT. They do run quite high in temps, it’s the main reason it’s worth watercooling it. Replacing the pads sometimes isn’t even enough, great choice to do a good UV :)
Yeah my EVGA 3090ti gets quite hot with ambient being 75F I'd see the GPU peak at 90C and it'll hover around 1940mhz. Mind you that was with a dirty OC, just +100 n the core and +1000 on the mem. I found that its not worth trying to keep the card around 2100mhz with the thermal headroom I have as it would down clock anyway from temp or power limit. But keeping it at 2030mhz at 900mv even with high room temps, the card struggles to get to even 70C on the stock fan profile which is pretty quiet. Went from 450watt to around 310watts for the same performance really, Worth it on air for sure!

I can run my evga 3090ti ftw3 stable at 2260mhz and +1280 memory clock and boost the miliamps +50 through evga precision x1. It does get a bit hot topping at 75c sometimes. But performance is top notch. I don't recommend it though I do game in a 4k 120hz monitor which looks incredible.
Just ordered the above/wrong - 3090 not TI/ and gonna undervolt for sure, need 24 gb fast memory for llm thats it, and games. Used is kind of cheap now, in the price of 3060 when it was new.
my rtx 3090 is running the top where it says gpu at 1845, is that bad or good, what does this mean? gpu 1845 mem 10551 volt 850 temp66 during benchmark
plewase tell me, why you have different style to undervolt gpus? in some videos you firstly do -300Mhz and than change curve. Sometimes you take curve and rise it up. I have 4070 super. Which one tutorial i should use? thanks
It depends on the GPU architecture! The full tutorial for the 4070 Super is coming soon. In the meantime, take a look at the 4070 Tutorial and be sure to subscribe :)
Well the -300 comes in handy I find when you are trying to get a lower clock than the max clock that the graph shows at least on the 3090ti at its max 1.075mv, If you try for say 1900mhz, it often doesn't flatten the curve after that so the card will still boost at 1.075mv, making the entire card run at -300mhz allows you to flatten the curve, other cards could be different though.
Now Silent Hill 2 Remake isn't making my 3090ti sound like a jet taking off.
Much appreciated!
I did this with my 3090 TI FE and the performance was amazing.
Thank you, this was easy to follow and understand. I'm running a RTX 3090 TI FE. The card gets hot and locks up when playing in 1440P & 4K DLSS mode.

@@ImWateringPSUsmy english isnt that good, so i would ask at how many percent the power use is going down after this
@@mRsnow-akuaround 10% to 15%

mi hai risolto i problemi di temperatura sia della scheda video che della cpu. i love you
:)) Mi fa piacere! Se ti va, iscriviti al canale :)
I had to undervolt my 3090ti FE because it got pretty hot. The normal gpu temp was fine but the memory and hot spot got pretty high.

What were temps for memory and hot spot ?
@@ImWateringPSUsI could but would it worth the hassle at the end ? Till I actually get it done, I'll have changed of GPU by then... Eventually.
Nice video and nice guy, thank you man !
super fucking helpful. thanks for a short video right to the point

Would your settings work for a 3090 fe?
man thank you for this video, if i i want a little bit less temp on muy gpu what settings do you recommend, i have in in 875

If one has 0 temps issues, overclocking is still very good. That’s why I have a dedicated tutorial for it :p
how much fps did you gain overall over stock?
I found that the sweet spot for mine was
.Core Clock -300
.945mV
.2010MHz
Just ordered the above/wrong - 3090 not TI/ and gonna undervolt for sure, need 24 gb fast memory for llm thats it, and games. Used is kind of cheap now, in the price of 3060 when it was new.

gpu 1845
mem 10551
volt 850

during benchmark
the core clock of you gpu, its speed is at 1845, the default is around 2000, but you are getting better temps and more speed out of gpu's ram
Thank you!

Recommended settings for 3090ti aorus waterforce ( 3x 360mm aio ) ?
I’d say check my “Overclock your RTX 3090 Ti Video” as you have basically the same cooling potential as the custom loop I was running :)
I followed the instructions but I lost FPS instead of gaining. I'm running an evga 3090 ti with i9 12900k in 4k
If you don’t care at all about temperatures, I do have an Overclocking video dedicated to the RTX 3090 Ti which you can check out :)
