Man, God Bless You Bro!! I have had this problem since 2Years!! I have Watched all Kinds Of Videos. I Have Bought 2 ABS Modules, Multiple Brake Calipers. None Fixed My Issue. This is about the Only Video that I've seen talking about this Type of Issue and Fix! And that is exactly My Issue. As soon as I Unplugged the Brake Booster Hose the Brakes Released. My Brake Booster is On Order, I hope it Fixes this Issue for Me once and For All!!!
CANT BELIEVE IT!! If you look up most all the You tube videos on dragging brakes, you will get a few where the brakes are released by breaking the bleeder in which the guy will say its caused by the brake lines acting like a 1 way valve and to Simply replace the lines to fix this problem, in which I was told to replace the brakes the clips, rebuild the calipers and the brake lines, lastly I was told to clear out the brake proportioning valve which I did and cleaned out the master cylinder and NOTHING, STILL HAD DRAGGING. Someone mentioned it must be the brake booster which I thought there must be no videos and after watching yours go figure, THANKS AGAIN
This happened to me while driving after my mechanic had replaced the master cylinder and breakbooster earlier that day. The breaks where completely locked, and thanks to this video i pulled check valve and put it back on. And the breaks unlocked, thank you so much this video helped me get home. I called the mechanic and he said that he will be replacing the break booster again. I hope that’s the problem 😳
I installed new master cylinder and break booster calipers rotors and pads .. and my pedal still gets hard after 15min driving my breaks heat up and lock
Another great video. The mistake I would have maid would have been to crack the bleeders at the calipers. I tend to forget all about the booster. It's the elephant in the room lol
Mazel tov thank you this was an amazing video and you have fixed my problem most appreciated from one tinkerer to a new mechanic brother thank you so much
Another thing to look at is the brake pedal return spring. If that's broken or otherwise not working, the weight of the pedal itself might apply small pressure, multiplied by the brake booster, causing brake drag.
I love you!! Hundreds of dollars wasted on new pads and rotors (all around), brake flush, and master cylinder only to finally solve the head caused by a damn spring 😂😂😂
I think this may be the problem that I have but it’s just the two front wheels that’s locked up because I have front wheel drive. Cus when the tow truck parked it in front of my house, in neutral the back wheels were moving.
Hi😉 thanks for your video. It's great👍 I have an issue with brake pedal in FIAT Panda 1.3 multijet 70HP diesel year 2006. When it's hot outside, sometimes the brake pedal is not going back to the normal position after I press it and the car is still braking on every wheel. The stop bulbs are lighting up in this case. When I hit the brake pedal from the other side it's releasing the braking force. What could be the reason? Front and rear brakes are new. Brake fluid was replaced. Vacuum pressure is present. Vacuum booster is working correctly when I test it. Do you think that the problem is related to brake pump and I have to replace it or booster? I have had also to much fluid in the resorvier, but I've drain in a little bit and it didn't help. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
I have a 2012 Prius and the brakes locked up on my while driving…. Pretty scary that it happened on the freeway, will changing the ABS module and brake booster fix the problem?
can a dirty brake fluid cause it to lock? heres what i did clean out all brake calipers rotors pistons etc.. adjusted the pushrod. my brakes were fine! not until it gets hot brakes will lock up and i have to park it for few minutes brakes will unlock again when it gets cold. could it be contaminated fluid? note: it would only lock up when it gets hot
Question: I replaced my calipers, brake lines, bled the brakes, the master cylinder and rotors are 2 years old...the only thing I haven't replaced is the Brake Booster...my front wheels are always rubbing my rotors to the point where there's resistance for them to heat up after a short while of using the brakes...do you think that could be because of the Brake Booster??
@Mx-5 what have you done so far . We did front calipers than brake booster still same removing booster check valve unlock the brakes so replaced check valve .still the same
@@angelfms1 iv done everything break booster, check valve, metal break lines, new calipers, rotors, braided break lines that go into the calipers, the distribution block, master cylinder, break pads, it only releases when I pull the check valve off so I honestly have no clue
This was a nice video, however, the video failed to instruct the viewer in the most important aspect of replacing the booster and that is adjusting the pin depth. They are not set properly for all vehicles at the factory special tools available guarantee that the pin is not applying pressure to the master cylinder also it's normally a good idea to readjust the brake pedal linkage as well
i have a 2005 suburban front brakes keep dragging i let out some brake fluid at bleeder valve and it releases? the master brake cylinder is just nasty the fluid is clean from all the fluid i have been feeding it! but the seal is ripped and the inside and out is super dirty so a new one on amazon is 53 dollars, i just want new, but it has the hydraulic brake booster but i have yet to see if mine is bad? all the calipers were just old and needed replacing and the front rubber line new, but the issue is the same after a few miles they start to stick until i pull over and bleed calipers then its like new again? anyone have a idea i can work, thanks
Hi good day everyone I'm having problem with my break I drive for few minutes later the brake panel will be very very hard and also the rules does not move the rules for the front keeps on being hot
Can someone please help me?! My front driver side brake system is completely locked. I have changed caliper and pads and brake hose only for the issue to happen again immediately. Front wheel locked...
Did you figure this out? I am having same issue only front drivers side dragging. Not total lock up but enough my wheel is steaming after a mile. Only the drivers side front wheel. Replaced caliper, brake pads, rotor, wheel hub, and cv joint.

Was it the brake booster?

Great job doing this brake issue video. It really hlep not only me, but millions of people out there too.
Absolutely life saver. I finally found its the brake booster👍🏽 thanks.

Very good video thank you so much. Appreciate it
Finally a video with my exact problem
What was the fault in the original booster ???
I replaced the booster but this style has no adjustment on the pushrod so my brakes stay engaged
need more videos about all the kind of problems

I think my valve is toast too. I think it g got gummy/oily air in it. Just old.
Hooked a hose to it, sucked n blew. I felt zero air movement
Thanks.
I am having the same problem right now with a 2005 Chevy suburban
awesome video and i believe this is my issue, thanks
That booster that was in there looked good!?! Why replace it? Rebuild!
How did the booster fail?

Hi there, im wandering if i could use brake servo of 2.0 engine to 1.6 engine diesel ?
Thanks
My brakes are locked. Removed the check valve still locked. Any ideas what can cause that?

My 2002 Olds bravada sat a long time now there's a leak around the master cylinder..what's that mean?
Probably needs a new brake fluid reservoir on the master cylinder
Self taught fixing cars or schooling

Their solution is....get rid of your car and use a bicycle. Kinda like they do in poorer countries
Hu
that doesn't make sense that the booster was applying the brakes
