House Devire was destroyed by house Do'Urden the night of Drittz birth. One of his brothers was killed by another sparing Drizzt from being sacrificed. It was a whole plot device and members showed up later.
Comment to boost the analytics! I kinda like the differentiation between lightning and thunder as SEPERATE damage types. The hammer of thunder bolts should def have both damage types though.
I’d love to run a campaign where 4 well meaning adventures each get one of the 4 elemental weapons and must either overcome their respective flaws to be heroes or inadvertently become villains
The Hammer of Thunder bolts is literally Thor's hammer. Thor in mythology has a belt that makes him stronger and a gauntlet needed to use the return feature, add that along with the stories of him fighting giants it is literally a copy of the myth.
Super appreciate more obscure weapons getting some love. Rocking the war pick and tridents here. Obviously DnD has no love of legendary ranged weapons, which is a huge loss. Still want more weird and fun stuff like flails, sickles, glaives/halbreds/other polearms, mauls, and morningstars. Also, for making a cool and useful sickle, check out the japanese kusarigama. It's basically a sickle attached to a chain with a weighted end. For lower level stuff, you can add features like tripping abilities or a bludgeoning attack with like a 10 ft range. And if you want to beef it up as a magical item, you could have that extended range bludgeoning attack cause a Thunderwave-esque effect centered at the point of impact. Would be super fun and give some shine to the sickle, which is very commonly overlooked.
Great minds think alike. When you were going over the dragon lances, before you even said anything I immediately thought of the new Time Dragons(The Adult & Ancient ones get 3 reactions). Unfortunately when I checked the stat block I realized it wouldn't do any good, because even creatures with multiple reactions per round are still restricted to one per turn. So even with a Dracohydra, or time dragon, the only way you'd get that extra reaction attack from the dragon is if you yourself made an attack of opportunity on someone else's turn with the dragon Lance. And even then it would be capped at 2 per round, unless you had multiple dragons or multiple dragon lances
It probably sounds basic but I'm actually a big fan of just a plain old sword. There's just something timeless about a no-frills, iconic in the literal sense, blade with a hilt. It's why I like to use the basic Claymore so much in Dark Souls.
Hey awesome Will and fabulous Brian, You guys made a special episode about de wand of orcus. Could you also make an episode about Asmodeus' Ruby Rod? Thanks for all the awesome episodes so far.
Hey Will, It's Justin not sure if you remember me but I was a former NSM with you! It made me super happy to see your podcast finally blow up ha I remember those late nights when you talked about it to me. I'm really happy for you brother. God Bless!
WOOOOOO!!! GNOME LOVE! THEY DON'T GET THE LOVE THEY DESERVE IN DND! MY FIRST EVER CHATTERED WAS A FOREST GNOME ARCANE TRICKSTER NAMED NYX "PUCK" FOLKORE!
Margaret Weis is pronounced like edelweiss, the flower or similar to Weiss the German style beer: the e is silent and the i is pronounced “long,” w-ice. Margaret used to babysit my wife when she was a child.
I have to admit, some of these weapons are pretty comical in line with D&D rational. In particular the sword or axe that identifies as a "she". To put this in real world context: I'm soldier, I get sent to a warzone to patrol, I can choose one of two weapons; a standard gun that doesn't "identify" as a living being and just works when I pull the trigger, or one that is "temperamental" and can jam "randomly" based on what I'm currently feeling, i.e.; fear, hate, compassion, superiority, inferiority (feelings than can be felt in fleetingly in any battle), or in a life or death situation.. How many soldiers would choose the latter, I wonder?
A football field's length is 360 feet (120 yards), and the width is 160 feet (53.3 yards). Thank Google. Also, all these legendary weapons without lore should immediately lose the right of being called legendary. You can't be legendary if you don't have a legend.

I read that at first not as House Devire, but Hor Douvres

I also go out of my way to use weapons other than swords. Lately my obsession is weapons that return to hand when thrown.

"Conflict" with sentient weapons typically leads to the weapon attempting to take control of the wielder.
A replica of wave you guys create for the giveaway. Could be plastic, could be something else, as long as it’s solid (as opposed to wave(s)).
Funny thing about that Hammer of Thunderbolts.. you need to wear the support Items, you dont need them atuned
We need an episode dedicated to the greatest and most powerful of rods!

The biggest problem with The Hammer of Thunderbolts is that the wielder is in the AOE unless throwing at long range
There is a hydra dragon I can’t remember what it’s called
Belt of Sky Giant Strength. My favorite legendary. Love paladins lol.
Always makes me sad that there are no legendary bows or other ranged weapons
Condemner, Fenthras, Longbow of the Healing Hearth, and Topaz Annihilator are all legendary ranged weapons.
@@wraithreaper22 Only one of those I've even heard of is Fenthras, and it's from Critical Role specifically.
Where are those other ones?
I've been listening to the podcast for awhile now and thought I'd check out the channel, keep it up!

Duly noted.
YES!!!! THEY HAVE ADS AGAIN!!! Thank God.
Love you guys 🤘🏻
I totally thought it said Elven weapons 😂
"5 golden rings" doesn't refer to ring jewelry, but rather 5 golden ring pheasants. Sorry, just more birds.

How many soldiers would choose the latter, I wonder?

It is written Kostchtchie, but pronounced "Richard".

300 feet when excluding end zones.
