  • This Motorola Droid Turbo 2 came into the shop not charging. After close inspection, the port was loose and physically damaged. So, we soldered a new port to the charging port flex and after replacement, it is charging 100% like a new one.

Many are not competent to do such work, problem with that is no one is competent to contstruct a ac phone connection with the precision matching the Droid Turbo 2 xt1585. You did not show if the phone has super-charge capability.

Beautiful. Did you have to use flux for this? I am new to soldering on this small scale! I resoldered my droid 2 usb port joints now TWO times and after 1 week or 2 they just break again! I am thinking to change the usb port completely. I did not use flux, I just used copper wick to clean the solder and then reapply new solder.

with soldering SMD parts like this we have a saying ... "add more flux" ... honestly, it's better to have more than not enough, as too little will keep the flux from filling in the through hole (or anchor) joints. I would say it probably would take a very, very skilled person to do this properly with no flux at all, I'm surprised it held up as long as it did, good job considering!

Your music growing to volumes twice as loud as your commentary made this nearly unwatchable.

He literally has screen captions ... it's easy enough to understand. I was happy to finally hear some music with all these tutorials I've been having to sit through, I enjoyed this one, other than the cringy feeling of watching him cut the battery mounting tape, it should have been peeled back and replaced for the battery's sake, but what do I know, maybe he's replacing it.
