I went ahead and bought a new phone and kept the old one. I had this feeling I lost valuable things I would never obtain back. From time to time, I would try new methods to access the phone but nothing seemed to work....Til now! It appears the power button was jammed. After clicking it several times, I was able to charge and turn the phone on, thus recollecting pics and vids I thought I would never get back. Thanks, man!

It worked. Took about 30 seconds. First I tried using a plastic toothpick to clean the usb, still would not charge. Then I tried pressing the power buttons for a minute or less. Thank you.

My phone case didn't have enough room for the body of the charger to fit through the case and make a connection. It bent the pin plate inside the phone. I cut the case back with a razer blade to give it clearance and it was fine until much later it started having trouble charging rapidly. It began slowly at first, then it was 50/50 and most recently it only charges slowly. I watched this video, turned the phone off, used a sewing needle and magnifying glass to very carefully dig out the port without touching the pin plates. I was SHOCKED at how much lint came out of the port. After that, I turned it back on, pushed the charger into the port and it snapped into place much deeper than usual lately. Much to my joy, i only heard the one charging tone for rapid charge and not the second which indicated slow charge mode. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Thanks for this video. It helped to jumpstart my LG K670 metroPCS phone which i stopped using a year ago. The method which worked for me was taking out the battery and long pressing the power button for 1 minute. after that, i put the battery back and plugged in the cable. I have a little LG flip phone. When I got the "upgraded" model, I saw there was no cover on the charging port and suspected trouble. That was a couple years ago. So now, I've had troubles charging it, having to move around the cable and such. Got so angry I broke the prior charging cord. Never could see any lint or anything, has never been wet. Well, I finally probed in there and there was a ton of compressed lint/dirt. It's charging now with no trouble (with the new charging cord, LOL). Don't get mad or freak out. Just used a needle end to scrape out my charging port and it worked it's fast charging away!
My phone has a non removable battery and it charged fast at certain angles and slow at other angles and it wasn't the chargers fault

I have a little LG flip phone. When I got the "upgraded" model, I saw there was no cover on the charging port and suspected trouble. That was a couple years ago. So now, I've had troubles charging it, having to move around the cable and such. Got so angry I broke the prior charging cord. Never could see any lint or anything, has never been wet. Well, I finally probed in there and there was a ton of compressed lint/dirt. It's charging now with no trouble (with the new charging cord, LOL). Don't get mad or freak out. Do the simple steps and it's like magic. Thanks!!

@@aza848 That Happened the same to me, but i found out that if i keep charging after the battery's full, my phone decided to transfer it back. I start to wake up at the middle of the night just to unplug the charger so it won't happened again lol
