    For someone who is not a big fan of sanding, this is a wonderful way to get that crystal clear finish we all desire. Thank you for sharing, and for now making it much easier to get these products in the USA!

    The Yorkshire grit recommends sanding up to 400 before using it.

    • @JakeThompson
      @JakeThompson  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That’s on wood. On resin I always go to at least 1000

    Jake I have a totally off subject question that I can't find the answer to. I need to do some stabilizing but will have to do it in a unheated space. Is there a minimum ambient temperature? Is it ok to stabilize as long as it's above freezing?

    • @JakeThompson
      @JakeThompson  ปีที่แล้ว

      It says to keep below 85f and doesn’t say anything about a minimum temperature.. I have stabilized when the shop is in the 40’s with no problem.

    Hey i have a question in regards to a different use. the resin projects im working on are Dice, so the surface area im working with is very small most of the time. Do you think yorkshire paste being used on a rotary sander with some kinda very light sanding pad or even buffing pad would be effective?

    • @JakeThompson
      @JakeThompson  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never done dice before but I have used Yorkshire grit on smaller things that are not on the lathe.. it works pretty well.

    • @terasaur3274
      @terasaur3274 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JakeThompson My question was more towards whether a rotary sander with a buffing pad would work with yorkshire grit?

    • @JakeThompson
      @JakeThompson  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terasaur3274 Yes .. I should have been more clear.. I used it with buffing shells on a drill.. a rotary tool would work the same.

    • @terasaur3274
      @terasaur3274 ปีที่แล้ว +1
