Oh
Hi can you please tell me which polishing paste u have used?
Good
This is a great display of how much work it takes to get a resin piece polished. I make resin castings mostly on my lathe where it is much quicker to get through all the grades of paper and micro mesh. People just don't realize how much work goes into getting a scratch free surface!
It is true. It is a long process. And it was only one wall
And if you want to sell the piece. They want it dirt cheap like they offer on my stuff.
Not knowing how much work and cost it was
I make resin dice and sanding and polishing all the sides is basically an all afternoon deal.
@@donovanbryan5000 It's like that for all crafts. You should hear crocheters and knitters complain about people who want them to make a sweater or large blanket for free, as if it will take just an hour or so to make, not to mention the cost of the yarn. Like that blanket used $150 in yarn, and I spent 200 hours making it, and you want to pay me $50? No. Not a chance.
A friend of mine is an artist, and he sometimes does business for other artists. They never quibble about his prices because they know what it takes to make the piece.
@@julietardos5044 oh I understand. Most all my projects I do simply cause I enjoy making.
I never truly expect to make profit.
I know this is video about polishing, but this zig zag pattern would make fine backside of custom made exposy resin Domino set!
Genius idea :o would love to see that one myself
I had know idea what was going except that you were showing different sandings. It was very interesting but I would love it you if you do the domino effect.
👍😁
I love that you don't just show us "what" and "how", you explain "why" the "what" and "why" the "how", without even speaking a word. Nice. It helps me remember to do things a certain way, the right way, the first time. Otherwise, I get these big dumb ideas of my own in my head that I know a short cut or know a better way to do something (even though I'd never done "something" before!). Bless you, thank you again.
Nice to hear it Cynthia
And theeee award goes too this guy!!!!! For the best patience and perfection!
I'm another who didn't know to go perpendicular to the last. Thank you. Great instructions, no nonsense, easy to understand!
👍👍
Both interesting and educational! You make it look so easy, so it's actually good to see just how much thought and work goes into what you do.
You could see an amazing difference as soon as the abrasive paste touched the surface! Thank you!
😉
Thank you for sharing this! I don’t think anyone true understands how much sanding you do for each piece. We always see the list of numbered paper on the screen but never see the whole order and time taken. Your craftsmanship is absolutely stunning😊
Don't worry, lots of people understand how much time he spends, and how many different sand papers he uses, because he films it, and even if he accelerate the process, many people get that it's rather a matter of hours than minutes... But thanks though, maybe some folks thought it was in real time... 😉
@@33tours1 I guess I should’ve worded that better, some people may not realize how much time he spends on sanding because of the speed up process😉 I know I didn’t fully understand it when I first started watching him. I would see a list of used papers, sure, but the amount of time spent using each was a different thing. I’m a crafter and know first hand a short video versus the whole process doesn’t always convey the the work involved. 😊
@@amberarchambeau Yes, I understood. And on top of that, no doubt everybody has his skills and manual precision. Those can make the difference, it's sure !
It is true. There is a lot of work to do. And it was only one side of the dice
You are right
Omg thank you...I had no idea about changing the direction each time....and I love how you explained what you were doing along the way and why....very helpful info!
You are so welcome!
The only reason to change direction is so you can see the new progress more readily. It has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the sanding. Just to clarify.
Once again.. showing us your style is wonderful
I wondered why these are polished. I understand now, why the directions are necessary. The difference is noticeable! Thank you!
😉
I’ve been looking for a great tutorial on epoxy polishing and here it is! Thank you so much for making this video. I’m heading to Lowe’s now ☺️👍🏼
You are so welcome!
This very excellent presentation has helped me in my wood/resin lathe turnings. I am a 100% disabled veteran who got into woodturning a while back. Well done!
Cool. Nice to hear it. Good luck
Thank you very much! This video is really well done (as you always do) and makes it easier to understand how to do it properly. Really helpful the crossing scratches info! Gonna get that guide soon :) good work!!!!
So much detail! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!💜💜💜
Glad it was helpful!
I love the noise when you mix the resin
👍
Well done video. Great examples of each stage, and you show it all, so we can compare our own works to your stages.
Thank you.
No problem
Thank you for this video! It answered so many questions as well as show the hard work that goes into it.
I'm glad you appreciate it
Thanks for the tutorial! Changing direction between sandpaper grits is a great tip!
👍
Hey Jedrek, thank you so very much for this fantastic tutorial 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥇❣
No problem 👍
This resource is huge. Thank you for taking the time and showing us this
Thanks
Great tutorial, Jedrek29t. I can now see just how much work you do to produce your works of art. Thank you for sharing your talent.❤️❤️💕💕
Thank you for appreciating it
This is what I always wonder how to do it.
Thank you for showing us!
No problem
Thank you for taking the time to explain this processes, great content and how we can learn a bit more in each video is a plus, congratulations and keep it up, I really enjoy to see your projects, have a good one!
My pleasure!
Eine ganz tolle Demonstration der vielen, vielen Arbeitsschritte. Herzlichen Dank für diese aufwendige Vorführung!
Danke
Amazing as usual!!! This is very informative! Thanks for posting!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a lot, great work ! Special mention to the tip for the changing the way of sanding between the differents grain
No problem!
Thank you so much! This is real art in your hands!
Thanks
Fascinating! Thanks for doing this.
I took a metalsmithing (jewelry) class before the pandemic, and yeah, we spent a lot of time sanding, and we only went to 600.
It is hard work
@@jedrek29t There's a dice maker I sometimes watch, Rybonator, and he got a ceramics potter's wheel, and he tapes the sandpaper on the potter's wheel, then just holds the dice in place while the sandpaper turns. But he has stopped doing it, and I don't know why.
Thanks a lot for this vid, it reveals a bit of magic behind your amazing realization. 🤩
Thanks
Parabéns por mais esse trabalho, perfeito.
Great video! I did something similar to a wasp hive I shaped into an egg on my lathe, where I documented each grit and took a picture of what it looked like from 400 grit to 12000 grit and polished. Usually I sand in a circular pattern but going perpendicular is the best way to male sure you got the previous grit out. Again, amazing video man!
😉
Thanx for sparing that much time explaining sanding levels, excellent information in the video which I can use next time, always learning a new way of work from you, thanx a lot
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic presentation. thank you for enhancing our learning.
Glad it was helpful!
That is awesome. How the peaces turn out . And yes it does take a lot of work getting it perfect with out scratches. Nice job.
It is a long process
Great work Jedrek
Every resin work of yours is unique and that's the difference between Jedrek and other resin workers
Thank you for such kind words
It was great and beautiful, your job is so true, thank you for making so many beautiful things with resin.
I'm glad you like it Matin😉
Another great video, and very helpful too! Good job, thank you so much 💖😊

I hope that I will help someone this way. Thanks Sandra
Вы очень терпеливы! Спасибо за наглядный пример!
😉😉
Es útil y es muy relajante, ¡excelente video! 🥰
Excellent job
Can you please share what type of abrasive paste and polishing paste you use?
You can use probably those for car painting. They are cheap since the volume to be used usually is high, and they achieve a fine level os polishing.
Awesome 👏 many thanks, I have been having problems getting a clear finish. 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🏻
👍
If I could click like more than once I would click it 1000 times, great video.
Thank You !
Omg thanks!!! This is my NOT favorite part of work with resin, but I can try this. Thanks.
You can do it!
Thank you so so much for this video. It was helpful and answers a lot of my questions.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing this video easy to learning about this...
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for making this video!! I like to "dome" some of my smaller items like key chains, dominoes, etc. Sometimes the epoxy drips down the side and I need to sand and polish it but have been able to get it back to the original shine. This is a game changer for me!!!
Question: You noted that after doing the polish step there were still small scratches visible and that it is better to polish mechanically... what do you recommend for this??
Awesome. Thank you for this video
Woah it really did get smoothen! Noce
Jaki to jest świetny tutorial!
Learnt a lot. Thanks. I am interested in getting different surfaces to work on.
👍
Saved for future reference cheers!! 🙌
Omg! Thank you so much for this video!
😉👍
Трудоёмкий процесс! Лайк за терпение!
Это правда. Спасибо
Vary useful video! Many thanks!
No problem
Your work is amazing
Thanks
O panie właśnie potrzebowalem znaleźć filmik z procesem polerowania a tu myk w powiadomienia nowy filmik i dziwnym trafem akurat w temacie ;)
To taki prezent na Święta ;-)
Finally I got the answer. Before I'm just confusing about that. And that's why resin art it so very expensive. 👍❤️
Hope you can make to shine at lathe machine.
Super filmik, dobrze pokazuje ile pracy wymaga dobre wypolerowanie żywicy. Sporo przydatnych informacji i dobrze pokazane dlaczego warto zmieniać o 90 stopni kierunek szlifowania. Do tej pory używałem do polerowania odlanych kostek jakiejś słabej pasty z castoramy, będę musiał spróbować z K2 tempo, dzięki :D
Dzięki że doceniasz 😉👍
Great reference video.
Good idea with the pattern as a reference for how polished it is.
Edit: I never knew that you were supposed to go perpendicular to how you sanded it one way, now I understand, I have a much better idea of how to do it, thanks so much!
👍
interesting gradient. Very good video.
Thanks, very descriptive ❤️
You're welcome Kavi 😊
Really appreciate this video
Thanks
Thanx for that mate that was awesome👍

Очень наглядно. Здорово!
Приятно слышать
This was amazing and very informative thank you!... I made my sister a set of dominoes when I was new to resin and by the time she got home they were sticking together 😅 I didn't know about this step then.
We are still learning
Excellent!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
MERCI pour la démonstration, concluante👍.Tu es près pour les JIO de PARIS
Wow! Nice
Thanks. Now I know where I went wrong when I use to sand and tinker with resin.
👍
Very helpful video
fantastic and didactic presentation.
👍
Grande!!!! Grazie!!!!!!
Interesting tutorials
Very very nice video 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻
You should make a reference poster of the sanding order! I always have to look it up every time having it on my wall would be super handy. 🥰
You start with the low numbers and go up to the high numbers. 🤔
That's a good idea!
Senga Sengana yes
@@sengasengana Yeah. But I'd still buy something nice looking to put on the wall as a reference to decorate my studio.
Nice work!
Thanks
Thank you!
Amazing. Congrats
Thanks
