His Prdictions was for Time trials, 1'55 was only possible of the huge amount of reserve i got from 3 or 4 red booster item, i doubt you can preshot that

Fantastic TAS, great job on seeing the project through! I'm a big fan of tracks like Canyon and Caves where you used the sloped walls and fences to push the kart in a direction with huge SGs. Bouncing around Canyon's double path is so satisfying to watch
Thanks, i like a lot Cave because i bullied a lot AI in this one haha ! And Yep in fact i was trying to extend SG without the need to care too much about reserves, and the walls/fences was a good find. I didnt expect it would work fine.
6:01 The way Penta sits there with the mask, not trying to prove anything like they normally do (Him sitting there still instead of racing) is nothing short of bad ass!
I think he's still being lowered to the ground by the Aku Aku (slowly). When you complete a race, your kart becomes controlled by the CPU. And for some reason, CPUs get respawned by the mask ridiculously slowly. It becomes really evident when you pay attention to the mini map after a CPU falls off a cliff.

Would you save time in tiger temple by using the "mist" trick (at least hypnoshark calls it that) where you activate a bubble shield item from the first item box and get a TNT in the second item box, allowing you to open the short cut door by firing the bubble shield and keep it open using the TNT? Is it possible you could save small amounts of time by not having to focus on the item boxes for all 3 laps?

Yes the frame rate makes some tricks easier and stronger. Speedghosts and especially ''corner/underground speedghosts'' are easier to trigger. Almost all Time trials TAS records was done with PAL. It's not exactly the same for human players, pal tends to be the optimal version only with tools assists

I've been watching TASes of this game for a while now and I gotta ask... Whats wrong with the in-game prompts in them? (like the loading prompt before a race which only shows a -)
@GIKAS123 I'm a using a glitch called : ''langage glitch'' (only possible in the PAL version of the game). To trigger the Glitch just press triangle at the langage menu selection. By doing so it's like you didn't chose any langages available in the game, community studied this Glitch and they conclude that the game is trying to use an unfinished Japanese langage and kanjis are missing etc in PAL/Europe version. NTSC-J (Jap version) was not even released yet
@@sttlok ye it's a known glitch that happens when you do the langage glitch, boss swaps heads as a consequence, dont ask me why but it's link to the code
what is the reason you drive on the edge of the track so often like on Hot Air Skyway, Sewer Speedway first tunnel section, last past of Dingo Canyon etc
It's because downhills give
you speed that's what we call "speedghosts". We keep the speed longer with jumps (froggy). An edge is like a very steep downhill in ctr, so it Can trigger powerful speedghosts, called ''corner speedghosts''. Using it is very hard for players, but you Can abuse of speedghosts in TAS.

@@kamiloalvarez5800 There is a localisation glitch where when you are asked to select a language when you first boot the game, it lets you press triangle to cancel it. If you do this, the game ends up in this weird state where it doesn't know what language to use so there is no proper text and some sounds seem to not be played either.

Type on google : " Tools assisted speedrun " it's not cheat, the game is not modified, a TAS is like a player we programmed to do specific inputs at each frames with infinite numbers of savestates. So everything done in the video is " theorically " possible to replicate as human but in reality it's way too hard for a player in real time to do all of this optimisation.

Because in la 2 and 3 i dont have reserves, so using the wall give a earlier ans better speedghost

The TAS was made using TASstudio in the emulator ''BizHawk'', you Can search on Google to see more infos. but basically a TAS allows you to chose each inputs will be triggered by the player for each frames of the games.
Why PAL?
PAL is the best version for TASing CTR. Almost 90% of best time trial TAS are made in PAL
The main reason is all speedghosts are easier to trigger and to optimize in PAL
@@NyXx_CTR makes since because PAL (europe) has a different approach to US Version and The It's way easy to make Shortcuts
@@michaelpichu5567 that's not true, a lot of shortcuts are easier with NTSC, like polar pass SC and many hot air skyway SC. I use PAL for others reason, because when you do tool assisted speedrun there is nothing "too hard" you can do everything with patience
@@NyXx_CTR I don't think that's too much hard because I don't have a pc just a android using PSX emulator and I expect that it's not easy to make shortcuts on emulator by Android but once you be able make It thought

It's a tool assisted Speedrun which means i have an Infinite numbers of save states, and i Can chose what inputs are made for each frames. There are no cheats except the fact i Can retry every part frame by frame until it's perfect, and it's theorically possible to do this ! that's the beauty of a TAS (it's like a perfect gameplay). But a human player will NEVER do such things because it's way too hard to do pixel perfects moves every seconds without any mistakes.
Dont try that at home it wont work 😂
