im glad i like bull so much. gives me the opportunity to look at how he talks and his body language and yell "oh you BASTARD!" when i notice a trick of his. examples: -he pretends to not remember josephine's name so he doesn't tip the inquisitor off to how smart he is -he sits down when he wants whoever he's talking to to feel at ease and stands when he wants to emphasise his size and strength -he asks leading questions to confirm what he already knows like, ALL the time (see: asking abt cullen and who the inquisitor might be) -laughter, jokes, and general jovial attitude to put people at ease and deflect like a motherfucker. I'm starting to think I might've done something weird or had my game glitch on me. During the bar scene when you're drinking to killing a dragon, he called my guy "Kadan" during the conversation. o.o Not complaining, but I heard the word (before the romance scene) and was all "The hell is Kadan?" Granted, afterwards, I think it's one of my favorite made-up words. XD
It was not a glitch it can happen when you kill a dragon with him or your a romantic interest to him and killed a dragon with him. Kadan means friend or my heart in quinari

oh my setup is definetly far from perfect. I got some reasonably nice parts tho such as my GeForce GTX 970 and 16GB of Ram. The other parts are a bit more dated. I'm still running with an Intel Core i5 CPU. ;)
This game was my first introduction to someone being trans. Their story was understandable and i thought nothing more of it than what it was : being yourself. So when I learned people around me were trans, it just made sense. I thought nothing bad of it.
I do something close to a cross between a cringe and a 'hoooolllyyyshhhiiit' when he just straight up says "Take me". Like Who actually hears "take me" and dosent imediately get a vision of a drunk needy girl at a club trying to be sly and sexy and the same time? Just me?

I didn't think the questions you could ask Krem were particularly violent. Some of the options were a bit tactless, I'll grant you, but they were pretty harmless. Also very real. Generally when people encounter a transgender person, they're inclined to ask about it, not out of any cruel intentions, but simply because they're curious. I think BioWare did a very good job with Krem's character no matter how you react to his history; whether you treat him like he's odd or question when he "decided," he explains that he is who he is and hes always been that way. A very healthy response.
Some Questions are pretty damn good, line you can ask him when he *knew* not just ask when he decided. And even some of the less cautious ones seem to come more from ignorance than malice.
I get what you're saying, but at the same time I think the important thing is the people around Krem who love and support him are always validating and understanding of him even if the player has the option to take the more tactless questions. Not many people irl know a trans person, and I think the circumstance set up with Krem could allow someone ignorant to come to a better understanding of what being trans is like even if they picked the dialog options a more informed person might cringe at.
Another trans guy here, and I agree. I do like the fact Ironbull completely shuts you down though. I hope that the transphobic lines where there for just that.

During the bar scene when you're drinking to killing a dragon, he called my guy "Kadan" during the conversation. o.o Not complaining, but I heard the word (before the romance scene) and was all "The hell is Kadan?" Granted, afterwards, I think it's one of my favorite made-up words. XD

oh my setup is definetly far from perfect. I got some reasonably nice parts tho such as my GeForce GTX 970 and 16GB of Ram. The other parts are a bit more dated. I'm still running with an Intel Core i5 CPU. ;)
This game was my first introduction to someone being trans. Their story was understandable and i thought nothing more of it than what it was : being yourself. So when I learned people around me were trans, it just made sense. I thought nothing bad of it.

I didn't think the questions you could ask Krem were particularly violent. Some of the options were a bit tactless, I'll grant you, but they were pretty harmless. Also very real. Generally when people encounter a transgender person, they're inclined to ask about it, not out of any cruel intentions, but simply because they're curious.
I think BioWare did a very good job with Krem's character no matter how you react to his history; whether you treat him like he's odd or question when he "decided," he explains that he is who he is and hes always been that way. A very healthy response.
Some Questions are pretty damn good, line you can ask him when he *knew* not just ask when he decided. And even some of the less cautious ones seem to come more from ignorance than malice.
Ariedesylva I think the questions were very well thought. I thought that both the questions and reactions were well planned and thought out.
I get what you're saying, but at the same time I think the important thing is the people around Krem who love and support him are always validating and understanding of him even if the player has the option to take the more tactless questions. Not many people irl know a trans person, and I think the circumstance set up with Krem could allow someone ignorant to come to a better understanding of what being trans is like even if they picked the dialog options a more informed person might cringe at.
