I had "The Experience" as a kid, too. The one Dennis and Tim are talking about. It was 1969, maybe early 1970. My parents and sister left our house and a block away, my head swiveled to the left!!! There was a white Plymouth Superbird parked in front of a house!! WoW!! It was about as long as the house, and so incongruous sitting there, in front of a suburban brick home in Texas!! I was just amazed. And I was just as amazed that my mother, father and sister seemed like they didn't even notice it AT ALL! How could they miss it? Well I certainly didn't miss it. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before, because it was!!
There had to be a ‘69 Talladega Torino there since that was the reason why Dodge had to put the Giant Wing on the Daytona lol. The Torino true “fastback” design was so slippery + stable it won everything with David Pearson in ‘68!
I hope you’re doing well Dennis! Been watching since the very beginning of your career and now I know that I can always find an episode to watch when I need an escape from the world. 👍🏼👍🏼😎
I remember next to nothing from my past (besides embarrassing moments of course) but I can't forget seeing the first Super birds at the Dodge dealership at the corner of Routes 146 and 20 in Millbury MA. (age 11) Just a few miles from grandparent's house. Dealership long gone. ;-(
Wow I had a chance to buy one of those big wing hemi cars back in 1969. I was in high school and I would ride past the dealer everyday drooling at the car. I tried to get my father to co sign on the loan to buy the car but no such luck. My pop looked at me and the dealer like we where nuts. Trying to sell this car to a 16 year old motor head crazy kid my father just looked at me said no and walked away. I ended up with a 1968 Barracuda with a 360 ci motor with 6, two bbl carbs magneto, five speed stick trans Dana rear 3:31 gear set up fast as can be. Forced to sell car during the gas ration period back in late 70’s.
Lester Miller same with me. my dad was a 40 yr gm employee in kalamazoo, mi one day we stopped in the local plymouth dealership and on the show room floor was a lime green with black top superbird and a lime green duster. we took the 383 duster for a 100+ mph drive. i was begging him to buy the superbird. years later he told me he shouldve!
The first time I saw a Superbird was in the late 70s driving down a Va. road. It sat back off the road up on a hill. It was Yellow it sat up there for years in someones yard. Not the only time I've seen one but the first time other than in magazines.
Torino Talledega. Technically they are body code Fairlane not Torino. The only place place that said Torino was the sales sheet. Yes I had a very nice original.
It's sure nice to see Dennis profile the Talladegas, and especially extra nice to see the Cyclone spoiler II, and the King Cobra. Sure, he can't profile more, there's only two in existence. But I really felt bad, I think in one episode in Talladega, Alabama at the speedway parking lot, there was an aero warrior reunion, and Dennis paid no attention to the Talladegas and the Cyclones. Sure the MOPAR warriors are nice, but jeez. between the originals and the copies, they are as common as a Corvette.
radioguy1620 Yep. Torino kicked ass in NASCAR. Dodge built the Daytona and were able to compete with the Fords. Plymouths were left in the dust. In 1970, Plymouth built the Superbird to get Richard Petty back after he ran a Ford in 69
If I was a millionaire, I would have a garage like Jay Leno and a mobile home parked beside it for my house. Then again I would probably just live in the garage
Southern Boy - funny - family man - reverent ...... car guy . Old Soul . I still have that small German car I courted my eventual wife in - it's only 28 years old - it's still not for sale : ) .
Interesting the chat about '70 to '71 changes on a Charger. Where I came (So Cal) no one would care because the performance car era died an instant death in 1970. 1971 or later cars were of zero interest. Perhaps the effect of smog controls was harsher in Cali. 1971 and later cars were by and large turds and it was illegal to modify them.
well im screwed, only 1080p version available now? seriously? some of us (most of us actually) cant stream 1080p due to internet speed connections, either from high service cost (like comcast) or many other reasons, at least have a 720 or 480 version?
+soupercooper This appears to be a glitch in the "Chrome" browser. Both Firefox and Internet Explorer have all of the quality levels from 144p - 1080p.
+MyClassicCarTV thanks for the tip! I will take your advice thanks again! Im sure you have reported this to Google Chrome? Congrads on 20 years!, must be the longest car related tv series in history for sure!
For some reason I don't like cars that fall outside of the colors: red, white, black, silver, grey, orange hot red... if it falls outside those colors, I don't want it in my collection lol

Owesome passionate Mopar collector . I had never seen such a unique collection . Fantastic

Cool to see the Talladega Torino which was at All Fords Day in Auckland on Sunday.
Just watched many of these get sold for 6 figures at the auction...such beautiful classics 😍
Why was the car with the Vanishing Point sign skipped over? Amazing cars BTW. Love that building!!!
Love seeing them drive around in my hometown. So happy I got to grow up there. Alex City is still a nice place to live.

This guy has the dream collection for real
I remember when that Ford Torino Talladega was on sale at Vangard Motor and it’s surprising to see it here.
Heaven on Earth....thank you for video, would never get to see these if it werent for your vids, thanks.
Dude is one lucky son of a gun to own all those wonderful muscule cars.

6 separate 2 barrel carbs and a magneto. Nope.
So you didn't have a chance to buy one lol. Dreaming of buying one is more like it and there were a lot of people doing that

These classics are cool since I grew up with them. See Tesla Racing that blows them all away.
I don't suppose you could go back there and do an episode (or at least a segment) on the guitars, please? It would be greatly appreciated! 👍
If I was a millionaire, I would have a garage like Jay Leno and a mobile home parked beside it for my house. Then again I would probably just live in the garage
WOW!!
I had to shut it off at 6:17--(I was getting too jealous) :P
Around 10:44 did I hear a belt squeak?
Southern Boy - funny - family man - reverent ...... car guy . Old Soul . I still have that small German car I courted my eventual wife in - it's only 28 years old - it's still not for sale : ) .
I sat in the yellow super bird😁
Bucket list.

One of the youtube car dealers had that Torino Talledega for sale not to long ago.

Don't know what you say
What does wellborne do for a living?
Wellborn kitchen cabinets. I'd guess it's a business his father started.
For some reason I don't like cars that fall outside of the colors: red, white, black, silver, grey, orange hot red... if it falls outside those colors, I don't want it in my collection lol
Why a repeat? This video was posted some time ago already?
+Jay This is the full episode. The previous video posted was a preview.
