This is the most educational video on how to do a visit to Petra without a guide. You go so straigth to the point that leave no questions at all. And yes staying at wadi musa is a must.
man you editing is dope! I'm Jordanian, visited Petra 7 times. every time I go there i explore something new. Last time I visited Mount Hor near Petra. Best hike even
My wife is heading there with a group in a few weeks. Thanks for the tips -- she doesn't want to ruin her trip by 'previewing' all the sites, but I thing these tips are worth it to make her trip more interesting!
We had a local boy took us (Scottish, Singaporean and American) up there and we thought it was easy but I had my backpack with lot of gears which added more weight but the view from up there looking down at Petra Treasury is so beautiful.
@@thhomasmarks yes anyone can do it as long no fear of height and not with any disability since there are some steep edges to climb. Otherwise, it is pretty fun.
Dear Jimmy and Maggie. Thank you so much for sharing your travel adventures with us here on TH-cam. I've been working my way through the video's and find them very entertaining. The videography and editing are especially good. Keep up the great work and happy traveling.
Wonderful video. Would you please exactly how explain you get from the beginning of the video to the Petra viewpoint from above? How long did it take? Are there signs you can follow? I will be visiting Petra in September. I am arranging my trip to be as productive and efficient as possible. Thank you.
Mid day, yes, it will get warm, but not like Death Valley hot. If you go early, though, you’ll have lovely temperatures and we definitely recommend going early 😄
Oh no, we definitely stayed at Petra. There are a ton of places right outside the gate and that’s how you get in right when the park opens. All the day trippers show up later and the place is packed!!
Hello jimmy n Maggie we are planning to visit Petra next month n I need your help to find what is the easiest way to climb up to take treasury pictures n also is it dangerous please
It didn't seem too dangerous. Once you get to the treasury, if you are facing it, turn right and follow the cliff wall. You will find the path that is used to climb up. There are several ledges for photos, and you can climb higher if you want different views, but all of them are nice. Have fun!
We actually stayed in a hotel very close by, so we woke up and walked in as soon as they opened. The crowd gets large after a couple hours and the busses show up!
You absolutely do need a tour guide for Petra, it has it has the foundations of the very 1st kabba with the exact dimensions that are spoken about in the hadiths and over a 130 kibblers point to Petra.
@@leecooper3852 if you needed one that would mean you could not access certain places there without one, that is not the case as you can access it all. Some guides try to tell people they need a guide to access some of the scenic spots overlooking it, they don't. For example there is a hike in Colombia I did called ciudad perdida, there you need a guide. It goes through indigenous lands and they 100% don't allow hikers without guides.
Hi, traveling to Jorden with my wife this September, and if you could give me some information about what is the best way to spend money, ATM, credit card, debit card, or cash, also where's the best place to exchange dollars into Jordanian Dinar. Thank you for any information

Not only was that a really cool video it, was a super educational video... Also I feel like you guys really have a thing for stairs, LMAO.. And did you find any transformers buried ancient tombs?? (Who know's Micheal Bay could have lied to me)
I visit Petra four times, its discusting how that people treat the animals, the donkeys and horses should run up and down without food or water, really its heartbroken to see some of that animals are so tired but there is no stop and some people hit the animals with a wooden stick, and I wish that you two can do something about this situation..

It's one of the countries we would consider living (for a year or longer) - such awesome friendly people!

Actually just found it in a random shop in Amman, but they have them/similar all over the country 😁
Just beautiful
Amazing video, how were you able to enter the drone into Jordan? thanks
Getting in wasn’t a problem, getting it out was a little different
Really captured petra in the intro
You both have great eye camera. It looks owesome. Thank you. Next time I will give you a Nabetean coin.
This is really great video. Wondering how's the temperature when you visit Petra in April or May? Is the Monastery and Treasury area is hot?
Mid day, yes, it will get warm, but not like Death Valley hot. If you go early, though, you’ll have lovely temperatures and we definitely recommend going early 😄
Thanks for the valuable info. Are there places to stay in Petra? Or do you guys go back to Amman then come back to Petra the next day?

Just from one of the many vendors selling traditional garb all around Jordan 😁👍

She looked like a character from a fantasy movie walking down the canyon in that dress for real!
How do you not like cats. 🙄😼😻😹 Poor thing just wanted a scritch.
Stopped watching after that🤣
She is not much of an animal person. She just wants to look pretty in front of the camera like a Tik Tokker. 😂
Desert chonks! They looked well fed!
Cultures are different🙂
Good to know. Was the amphetamine extra, or did it come with the price of the ticket?
How did you get here so early though? I’m planning use the bus. Thanks!

Hi,
In which month did you visit Petra?
Whats that small little camera at 3:52 ?
That's the Fujifilm XT-30 - an awesome little travel camera!
You absolutely do need a tour guide for Petra, it has it has the foundations of the very 1st kabba with the exact dimensions that are spoken about in the hadiths and over a 130 kibblers point to Petra.
No you absolutely dont 'need' one. You can access all the portions without. Can the experience be better with a guide, sure, but you dont need one.
@@ryanstrom5162 most guides have no idea about the history of Islam and this place
@@ottooctavius585 true. You still don't need one.

Nice video but you could speak a bit slower. Thanks
The 3 wise men were from Persia.
Petra is EAST of both Bethlehem and Jerusalem. (That is, if you actually believe any of the copied-from-Mithras legends.)
Welcome to Frank and Cents + More. Discounts on all gum and room spray. 🤷🏻♂️
indiana jones!!
Right!!? Had the movies theme song in our head the whole day, haha!! 😁😁😁
Thanks for the video. The only thing is, you speak very fast in some parts and its difficult to understand even after replaying
Yes, we are trying to slow it down 😜

How could you not know that the wise men brought frankincense and myrrh to Jesus? Where were you raised?
