    Notes: I paid in full for Abdullah's tour and this is not a collaboration. I sincerely recommend him as a Petra guide, he is fantastic and you can contact him here: +962777874294 .
    The local currency is the JOD and you'll need around 20-30 JODs if you'd like to buy drinks in Petra during the day as well as access the transport to the backdoor hike. The entrance into Petra itself is included in your Jordan Pass which I strongly recommend getting online before your arrival into the country.
    I visited in mid September and got to Petra at around midday, my tour lasted just over 5 hours (I chose not to stop for lunch) and we walked 11km!
    I was worried about dressing conservatively and respecting local custom but Petra is full of foreigners and I found no one blinks an eye if your shoulders/ knees aren't fully covered.

    What a beautiful sight! I think it was great that you got to go a different way to Petra with a local Bedouin. It was a great way to not only get views the tourists normally don't see but also a way to support the locals. What an amazing video! This is one of my favorite videos of yours yet!

    Nice presentation. And I have a query as well. So is this the backdoor entrace route you took? I mean, you have to take a cab from Petra visitor centre to little petra and from there around 1.5 hrs of trek to the monastery?

    • @Kristinahouwer
      @Kristinahouwer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi thanks for watching ! The tour guide provided us with a short taxi ride to get to the right place. From there it took us about an hour to walk to the monastery I’d say , but the difference is that it’s all mostly straight - no 900 steps uphill like in the way most tourists take and it’s not crowded at all, maybe saw 2 other people during the entire trek to the monastery

    • @Kristinahouwer
      @Kristinahouwer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, thanks for watching ! We parked our car right next to the Petra Moon hotel and from there the guide took us to the back entrance. You then need to take a local car with a ticket to the hike starting point
