Hi Ravish. I am a Neurosurgeon in India, currently in Canada temporarily and going back to India soon. And I completely agree with you. Health care in India isn't just affordable but also very approachable, so approachable that people literally go "doctor shopping". Here in Canada although it's all free, we have patients waiting for over 2 years just for the first visit with a specialist.
Completely empathise with you. Hope Chiku gets better soon.

Interestingly the UK and Australia have government-run healthcare, but they do have an option for private care. Both the UK and Australia have Medicine included in Govt. health care. Canada is lacking in this case. I personally know a 26 year from Gurgaon who was living in GTA. He needed to see a specialist for Heart-related issues. He could not get an appointment for about 4 to 5 months. He died while waiting in the Emergency Room due to an emergency that caused by his untreated condition. This was in 2018. What is the point of "free" healthcare that you are paying for from your taxes anyway?

    • @rameshpratap20

@@rameshpratap20 - You are correct. UK has private healthcare which is not very expensive. The WORST of the lot is US where you have the somewhat same long 'wait time' issues as Canada and the whole insurance (where you pay very high monthly premiums) is a scam with high deductibles, OOP's etc. and 100's procedures excluded, pre-existing exclusions etc. etc.. people literally go bankrupt and SCARED to visit a Dr.

    • @rameshpratap20

@@nishantthaccker1173 you are 100% wrong about US Healthcare..no long wait times as Canada. It is illegal to deny any one coverage due to any pre existing conditions. Health premiums varies. Sorry to say Ravish but Canada is a country with a good magazine cover but bad content inside. They package this immigration dream which seems too good to be true but in reality things are so broken inside. Health is of prime importance and if you cannot even get basic diagnosis primary health checks done on time, it tells you how flimsy are their claims of universal healthcare. There maybe good things but if you check the boxes. You will notice India is doing much better in comparison.

Another option is to access the Virtual Urgent Care (VUC) option available at the Brampton Hospitals- You do not have to visit emergency for getting a requisition for X-ray or ultrasound. The VUC option will help in specific cases like this where you are not waiting at an emergency room but in the comfort of your home and can access the physician directly. At the moment this program is under utilized except for weekends. Hope this helps. Good luck. Wishing your son a speedy recovery. Take care

Ravish, u are a nice guy, I see your vlogs for a while now. You have a nice family. God Bless. As regards Canadian health system, it is louzy, 3rd rated. I know you can't say that on camera. But you are experiencing it.... as u get older it will be like the NHS system in UK. That's where its headed to....
I lived in Toronto (Thornhill) in 1993 to 1997 so I know it very well......and I could see the writing on the wall way back when.....
I moved to Orlando, FL and have been here since then.... can never complain.... originally offcourse from Bombay, now Mumbai....but here since 1993 in North America.
Health is Wealth and just like Justice delayed is Justice Denied, same way.... its for Health and you are paying for it from your taxes, which most of the population isn't....because they suck on your taxes.... way the system goes buddy.
If its like this now, what will it be when u get old and badly need-it ???
U say have private service where people can pay, but NO that doesn't work because their cost's are outrageous. Example: Would you pay CDN$4,000 for an ultrasound ??? NO, so such a system doesn't exist and will never will..... because people are broke, welfare dependent and the system is created to make you totally dependent and suffer, while they such your earnings for a lifetime.
The only people who can prosper in a situation like this are the ones who are & continue to remain on WELFARE all the time !!!

    • @nishantthaccker1173
      @nishantthaccker1173 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Where are you getting your facts from ? In UK if you don't want to use NHS you can easily go private and get an ultrasound for 150GBP.... And less said about the US healthcare system the better, where even with insurance they will not cover tons of procedure & will exclude 100's others as pre-existing condition leaving people to die or go bankrupt as the rack up thousands of dollar bills for not major illnesses!! Oh and the Deductibles/OOP's etc.. are a killer as even a good insurance has $3000 deductible so basically everyone is on the hook for it. Plus you pay month insurance premiums too.. what's the use ?

In short paani ko garam kar ke usme hing dalo aur cotton ko usme dubo ke dhunni par lagao pet dard, gas aur kabj teeno cheezon mein kaam karega.

Ravish, the only thing that scares me about Canada is 'Healthcare'. I haven't come across any situation as of now where I need to visit emergency but there are stories. What is the purpose of having world class healthcare facility if you can't diagnose a simple cough and get it delayed by 4 years just bcoz you didn't do the investigations on time and now it has become Cancer stage 4 ( One of the stories from a known). Healthcare is one of the important things that should be accessible all the time without any delay. Everything can't be process oriented. There is a dearth of healthcare professionals in Canada and we must must must fulfil it. The rules to allow foreign healthcare workers to work in Canada should be lenient. Something is better than nothing. Really feel for Cheeku. Hope is is relieved now. And for other folks too, who had to wait for 2-3 years for proper treatment. Just wish that God bestow all of us with good health so that these 'Research' centers can be avoided. Sorry, I am frustrated too now. 🥺

Same with Australia UK. Waiting list is too much. It’s much better in India. If you have money then you are the boss of the hospital which in some cases very good because you will be given priority in best private hospitals. I live in Sydney but I also have a private health insurance in India Tata AIG so that in any emergency and long waiting I can visit india and start my treatment.

When it comes medical system in the US and Canada, it feels like it will take forever to see what is happening to the person and how the doctor can help. The system is really screwed and they don't really care, especially in your case, a child has been in pain for almost 2 weeks and there is nothing they can do. I also hate the system because of delays and plus if your insurance doesn't cover the charges, they won't take you for a check-up. A person can possibly die if help is not provided urgently. I can feel your frustration, especially with your own child, hopefully, Chiku feels better.

This is primarily because of the mass immigration and government not planning or budgeting enough to improve healthcare systems. I am an immigrant myself, but if immigration is not checked, the healthcare system will only get much worse in the coming years, especially in GTA and Vancouver areas. The healthcare system needs time and investment to cater to the rapid growing population and existing ageing population of Canada. They should create a system of fast track straight PR for nurses and doctors.

I am 38 year old with wife and two very young daughters. One is new born and other is 2.5 year old. I was planning to migrate to other country to get better quality of life after 6-7 years. But now after seeing healthcare reality of western developed countries, I will have to think about it. I am concerned about my daughters future in India due to air pollution, no traffic sense, noise pollution, crime against women, and so many other things. However, if I don’t get timely help regarding health issues, I am not so sure if moving to other country is worth. Me and wife’s income is more than sufficient to live comfortably in India and we don’t even live in Tier 1 city. We own two houses whose loan we may be able to close in 4-5 years. And then we will have good enough income to save for retirement and education for both kids.
So, I would like to have a suggestion if moving to other country is worth for someone like me?
Also, are there any countries which are safe, has good quality of life and have better healthcare system?

The next day, I went to Fortis hospital and the doctor told me I had to undergo surgery. I said ok when I can get an appointment and he said did you have breakfast I said yes I had and he laughed and said. maine to abhi kar dena thaa. So the next day I had surgery and after one day in the hospital, I was discharged. I think in India this is the best thing we have great healthcare facilities. I hope Chiku feel better soon.
