Pomeg Glitch: new easiest setup in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum

A better, faster, easier way to perform the Pomeg Glitch in all versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (and Platinum, but only in the Japanese and English version, it was fixed in the others and in HGSS).
You don't have to worry about precise values of IVs, EVs, Level, etc. Requires only 1 Pomeg Berry and 1 Rare Candy, and a Lv. 50+ Pokémon that can get poisoned.
Detailed steps:
Save, use Pomeg Berry to check if you lose at least 2 HP from it, reset
Save, use a Rare Candy and write down how many HP you gain from it, reset
In Eterna Forest, get poisoned by Wurmple, write down how much HP you lose from Poison damage in a single turn, then flee
Move around in the overworld to lose HP until [ hp = hp_lost + 1 ]
Trigger an encounter without moving
Waste a turn to get down to 1 HP from Poison damage, then flee
Use a Pomeg Berry (HP goes negative)
Drop your HP to [ 65536 - hp_gained ] from Poison damage by moving in the overworld
Use a Rare Candy to go back to 0 HP
Alternative: you can use an HP Up (that you can buy in Veilstone) instead of a Rare Candy to go back up to 0 HP. Make sure to write down how much you lose from the Pomeg Berry instead this time, and to drop your HP to [ 65536 - hp_lost_from_pomeg ] before using the HP Up.
