It does hit home what you are saying. For me it's the inside job so to say: finding it within, the who I am. The core of me is soul and we are currently (at many of us) starting to understand that we are invited to find our way back home (into our very heart). I loved this video very much! Thank you for all your contemplations! It resonates 100%!
This one gave me goosebumps Cori ❤ I've yearned for the countryside for so so so so long now.. I could cry 😢 and yes absolutely 💯 we should all re-wild ourselves ❤❤ I love your channel!! Thank you for sharing Xx
I loved this video and am on a similar 'journey.' We already live in a beautiful part of England, Cornwall, but are craving even wilder. Our house is on the market and we're relocating to Scotland which I'm very lucky to be able to do because of how my income is arranged and the fact that my son does online home school. We want to be able to walk straight from the door into national parks and forests and forge a much greater, daily connection to a wilder level of nature. I found your words really encouraging - it's always nice to hear from people who feel similar and are taking that jump into what you described as "counter culture." I think it's going to become a bigger piece of the wilder culture over time but possibly not for everyone. Looking forward to your next video.
Oh I'm so excited for your venture further into the wild Kate Alison! And how wonderful that you're set up to be able to do that more easefully with your income and homeschool etc. YES walking straight out of your front door and into nature is such a big deal. Scotland is sooo wild and beautiful I hope you find so much peace and contentment there. So pleased this video was welcome encouragement... and it's lovely when us kindred spirits are able to find one another, isn't it??
Ah yes I can imagine the bustle of a busy hospital can be a different vibe! But then again, surely in a hospital you're right in the thick of humanity in often it's most vulnerable expression and perhaps there can be something in that? (easy for me to wonder, not working there, mind you!)
I really love your attitude to your new life and how you have connected with the Irish countryside and with nature . Just wondering how well you have connected with Irish people, because there is so much to be found in human connections too. This is a comment and a question. ❤
Thank you! Yes we've been very blessed with our growing connections with our Irish neighbours and we're so thankful for the welcome and warmth we've experienced so far. There is so much to be found in human connections and I think that's just as important as our connection with nature.
I was nodding along to everything you were saying, but at the same time kept thinking about how it feels like when you have kids in school, really embracing this mindset feels harder. Opting out from life's 'normal' pressures feels great but very at odds with expectations from school especially - being in a routine, there by 8.45 each day, not being able to keep the kids up late just because it would be nice to watch a summer sunset. Ranting now...but thoughts welcome!
Yes nodding along with you now Laura! Having tried homeschool while we were travelling, our daughter much prefers being in a school setting and so we have those same routine pressures and challenges. It definitely can feel at odds to living at a slower, gentler pace at times. Going to mull this one over more... might even do a video on this topic!
everything was 'wild' before man learned to cultivate things/animals/flowers/crops... they called people 'hippies' during the 60s when they tried to go back to their roots, 'wild' slowing down, & doing things on the land is actually more natural than going out to work love the term 'rewilding' clever enjoy the process thanx for sharing
it also has something to do productivity for ourselves too; making our own clothes, knitting/crocheting, cooking, gardening, it all comes back to 'living' in our own home
Yes you're so right Selina. And it's interesting how other parts of society shunned hippies as being odd, labelled them as wild in a disparaging way, isn't it?
Almost everything you have said sounds like home education for children, school doesn't allow a child to be "wild" takes away the Freedom for them to discover self directed learning and severely limits their time amongst nature, every family is different but such a shame your daughter is no longer home educated but I know that is an individual choice and I respect that, your words make absolute sense to me as regards to my children and myself ❤
This is something I am grappling with Cat! I completely agree with what you're saying. I might go deeper into this topic either on a video or my podcast. Because I think there is so much truth in what you're saying about the limitations school can place on children AND every family, child etc is different so what do those of us who aren't able (for various reasons) to currently home school, do then? It's an important question.
@@CoriLivestheDreamLife yes it is a very important question, I would love to see a video or listen to a podcast about this topic! Also for those that can't as you said for various reasons, what options are out there etc I know in Ireland a lot of parents don't actually know that it's absolutely Legal and doubt their own capability, that was my thoughts until we started four years ago and it's been amazing the best decision we as a family ever made❤️
This is something I have craved all my life and now I will soon be 66 and am only just trying to put a halt to to the craziness. I have spent most of my adult life caring for older relatives. Still doing it to a lesser extent. Hubby and I are making decisions that will help us to live our own slightly wild lives. All the caring has come at a cost, mostly to our health. So now is our time. You have done the right thing Cori. It would be easy for us to regret the decisions we have made. However, I am determined to move on and spend the rest of our days as wild as I want to be. Shedding th expectations of others appears to be the hardest thing. Thankyou for your wise words.
We're all wondering this Linda! 😂 The current wait to start isn't by choice on our part but IS a good lesson in patience and surrender. Oh yes, schedule, timeline, floor plans... all done. Just waiting to actually kick it off. Soon we hope🙏
Ah such is the conditioning of our modern times, eh? We'd do well as a society to better nurture the free spirits we see in our young people, don't you think?

Beautiful rewilding. welcome to Ireland🌷
Thank you Catherine! 😍
I love the eliagic quality of your latest videos. Lovely countryside.
Thank you so much Jane, that means a lot to me! And yes with such picturesque countryside it's ample inspiration for my videos!!

I like it too - it seems fitting, doesn't it??
@@CoriLivestheDreamLife absolutely fits💚💚💚
This really resonates with me, beautiful words and inspiration. Thank you so much
I'm right there with you on this philosophy especially as its my day off! But it might change when I have to go to work tomorrow at the hospital :)

Hola from our Mountain in Spain. Definitely ' re wilding ' here. Lovely video Cori ❤️❤️
Hola rewilders in Spain! Oh I can imagine a mountain in Spain being a glorious place to rewild oneself!!

Thank you for the invitation to return to self.
So pleased if it resonated Gina!
Lovely 🌷. You are speaking of God!
Absolutely I am 💫

Sometimes to really connect, we need to disconnect.
Yes you're so right. We're too connected in many ways these days... and then, in some of the ways that matter the most, not connected at all
Wondering when you'll be starting the renovations on your cottage. Are you working on a schedule/time line/floor plans? Thank you.
