I’m that guy that trailered my car 700 miles to you guys to have it dyno tuned. I guess my thought was that I would get a better result by having it on the dyno, lol.
There's nothing wrong with that all, and it's preferred if that's something the customer wants to do. This was just pointing out that it's not NECESSARY for most builds.
You definitely will get a more accurate tune, they pretty much say that at one point. They have to make it to where they work with all cars and not all engines run the same. So when. They can see it doing pulls and live data. Way better
If I bought a ZZP catted downpipe for my Camaro and it threw a lean sensor 2. Because the downpipe was what threw the code up with the code most likely go away after the tune?
Good video fellas. I can feel the "tired of answering the same damn questions" coming off this. It's common sense, most of it. The Karens complaining are the same people that bought rims, paint, and window tint in Need For Speed, instead of engine mods. 🤣
question my zzp guys. i have an lsj thats tuned by a local shop and wanted to switch over to remote tuning. will the hp tuner credits transfer over or will i have to rebuy them?
Your credits stay married between the MPVI and your PCM/VIN, so as long as those things haven't changed, then you do not need to re-purchase credits for your car. If the shop used THEIR HPT device, and you now have one, you will need to purchase 2 credits.
I've got a 2014 Cruise Eco with the m32 6 speed. I currently have the k&n typhoon and I'm thinking of getting the modified intake manifold. The car has nearly 140,000 on it and I'm sure the PCV which was stupidly built into the intake manifold is going to need replaced soon. I was also thinking about installing your upgraded intercooler. That would free up the intake side with exception to the turbo itself. I have plans on a remote tune also. Should I wait until I install all the parts? I'm also curious of the car will run without the tune with those modifications until I can get the tune done. It's my soul vehicle and daily driver.
With a Trifecta tuned PCM you will have to use your Trifecta cable to flash back to a stock file, then we are able to use HPTuners to read/write. If it's still on the Trifecta file we are locked out.
Dyno tunes take a vast amount of time and resources, and when we're already overworked and overbooked it was one of the first things to get cut. Remote tuning is sometimes even better than a dyno due to the car actually being under real operating conditions; real world airflow, real world load on the car, etc.
I'm not very smart when it comes to technology I've been trying to do this remote tune back and forth and I'm so confused I bought credits update i have three computers 🤦 and I think I'm about to order another one because I need to do a $60 update for injectors if I drive up to zzp is there anyway I can schedule a Dyno or is it just down for catch up time sorry for writing to the reply it wouldn't let me write on the regular post carburetors are so much easier
@ZZPerformance I'm scared to remote tune but really need it now. Still getting a misfire code after new spark plugs, last owner did a "custom tune" so yeahhh. Does purchasing the 1.0 LSJ PCM come with a tune for the car and can the PCM itself be installed by the customer easily?

Tim did a remote tune for my V6 turbo camaro, did a fantastic job and I recommend it for customers

Yeah i need videos like this more often lol. I need learn more about tuning.

Great explanation guys! Keep up the good work! Go Blue! And go Team LNF!!

@@armcclure Thank you for the input, Matt turned my car into a beast, so it was worth every Penny to me.

Do you guys recommend jumping on a dyno after a street tune to possibly identify or smooth out some dips in the curve?
👉💨💨💨I REMEMBER TIM DOING MY BOX TUNE YEARS AGO😎AND OVERKILL PERFORMANCE BACK THEN😉‼️
What if it's been 11 days since I sent my first log? Should I check in?
can you make a video of tim or al or whoever taking his way through a revision so we can see how they think
i had bo tune my top swap grand prix remotely did a amazing job
If I were to get a remote tune, would I have to buy something else prior to the tune?
For the remote tune, how long will it take to get the new tune after sending in the file

@@gbrunner24 yea pretty sure they used their own hpt since i had to pay for a few credits. But alright that answers my question thanks

Fun stuff, Can you re-program a 2008 Cobalt to over come the 35HP lose of a Auto Transmission? Bet you can improve it!
What you mean the 35 hp lose from the automatic?? First time i see this
Where are u guys located...
Grand Rapids, Michigan.
What if I have a trifecta tune already? Are you able to flash over that or how would that work ?

Out of curiosity will HP tuners work on 2.2 L16 echoes in the cavaliers Or is the computer too different or old I should say 🤔
97-05 Cavalier is supported by HPT!
would yous remote tune for australia?
Yes we remote tune vehicles all around the world!
Why don’t you guys talk about having a wideband how can you tell what afr is under boost
Is there a Mac version of the software?
Unfortunately, no. HP Tuners is only available on Windows computers.
Can I use a Mac to tune
The HP Tuners software only runs on Windows PC's.
Why is your dyno closed? I'd prefer to dyno tune the car so I can know what I'm making at the wheel

Yup thats why im going with you guys as the shop here wants 700$
Wish I could send in mine for a tune but it's the daily😭
Welp, that's where the remote tune comes in!
