All my cars have been remote tuned. Had a EcoBoost mustang tuned Through Tune + with Cobb accessport , my last and current car are tuned through Lund Racing with a NGAUGE

Same here man lol had my Mazda speed 3 e-tuned with the access port from purple drank tuning , and all my Honda’s e-tuned from Innovative motor works, I’ve never had issues with it. The only time I got dyno tuned is when I started running e-85

Had my wrx tuned through a guy who is 5 states away from me using my access port and I love the process if you live in an area a dyno isn't available for your car. Great tutorial man everything is on point!

When dealing with computers and mechanical stuff, there is no one single tune. Engine wear, component wear, miles, ect., all play a part in the variables. Just because a tune works on a similar vehicle, may not work properly on the other. Tuning is unique to the particular vehicle due to the variables previously mentioned in my comment. Great video Racer X!

I used data logs to tune my foxbody with a moates qh software. All the tuners are 800 miles from me or more. Remote tune or tuning is the best thing. I adjusted cold start, idle, wide open throttle and light cruising. Great video.

Hey Rob, what do u mean you adjusted cold start, idle, wide open throttle and light cruising? How exactly did u do that? What did u ask for?

    • @robertb3409

@@omigod420 I just meant that I am all for remote tuning. On my moates qh system I am able to data log anything. So I changed the settings on the stock a9l settings to work for my combination.

I literally just called a tuner 2 hours ago about my mustang needing a tune and was advised to go with either a street tune or dyno tune.loved the video;it was informative!

I went with Wengerd tuning and they did a dyno tune on my car. I think they’re doing a lot of remote tunes too. They did an incredible job! I definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a tune on their mustang.

Great job man!! Glad to see you pass 100k and now at 102k... amazing how fast you are growing! Been with you since 35k not that long ago. Im glad to see you and some others doing videos that are right when Im looking into doing some of these things. For instance, tuning, i started looking around about it about 3 weeks ago and now you and 3 others I watch did tuning videos. So im glad to see it! keep up the good work.

Way to go Red Racer X, the remote tuning using the RTD device with with HP tuners seems to be the way to go, seems to be the best out there for remote tuning. Really
enjoy the videos on what the process is for this type of tuning.

Absolutely love that hellion setup! The remote tuning is an awesome deal.. what kind of number will that Mustang do? I’m actually just gonna get my Scat Widebody in 3 weeks. (Ordered 2021) and sending it to 918 hemi Peformance for a 426 forged stroker kit and a (Gen 5) 3.0 Whipple! 1050whp build.

Tuning is most important that you don't blow your motor. My car blew on the dyno because the tuner over reved the car.

Depends on the tuner that is specific to your car. Best to look at their website for price but can range from 500 up to 1200 or more depending on your current mods. This is technically a pro tune not an ots tune

For a completely different platform I can share my numbers. I have a 2014 CTS V-Sport, LF3, which is a twin turbo V6. I use HP Tuners just like he does. My vehicle needed 2 credits to tune, some need more. The device with two credits was about $400. You can buy with zero credits, four credits and the price varies. I believe you can just buy more credits for future use as well. So there is an upfront hardware fee. The software is downloaded for free, my tuner likes the BETA stuff and we have no problems. I suppose the software isn't really free, they pay for it through buying the hardware, but you get the idea. Now, my particular tuner charges a one time fee of $700 and that gets me unlimited tuning and datalogging support. Right now I am on a 93 octane tune. I have the hardware, but not yet installed, to run up to E47 and he will create an ethanol tune. I could get some boostane and he could create a 103+ tune. If I got downpipes, I could log and he could tweak things and try and squeeze a bit more power. First thing you do is read your stock tune and save it so you can always go back to it for whatever reason. Everybody is different, but I am sure I could give my guy a heads up that I was going to the strip and if available, he would tweak and send new files between runs as if he were there. He tunes from his kitchen table lol.
Now all that or I could spend almost $900 for a proprietary hardware setup and a canned tune. Meaning they have developed a tune from a lot of time and logging, dyno runs etc from one possibly more examples of the car that they feel confident is good for all V-Sport's. So what you get is a potentially more conservative tune in power but also a potentially less safe tune because it is not customized for your car and your location. I could for instance have a summer tune and a winter tune with my guy. They do have some after sale support, but you aren't logging your car with the HP software and having them read it and make specific adjustments. If you make changes, unless they do an update (which happens, but not often) to account for that it won't mean much. Get those same down pipes? They weren't able to make any more power from it, but my guy is pulling another 30-40 hp from them. They don't even have an ethanol tune and really their tune is 91 because not everyone has 93.
I have an odd example because there is so little support for my car, but if you have a Mustang or anything LS you can find many remote tuners and canned tunes honestly.

    • @gabrielguerrero5448

I'm guessing by Mustang you must mean Ford's equivalent to the hellcat which is the gt500. Stock GT500 vs Stock Hellcat , the gt500 takes it.

Find a legit local custom tuner. Don’t remote tune if you don’t need to.
