    Few people understand the time and effort that goes into a head like that. I'd estimate your video runtime at about a minute a second. That looked like 60x to me. Nice work!

    Having you guys do my car this spring, this video not only got me very excited but very happy I'm using forced engineering great work!

    That's brave doing a valve job then porting it.I would have done the port job first.

    Thanks so much for sharing that! It was awesome to see how the process happens.

    Very Nice! That was labor intensive but I'm sure the effort pays off in the end. Great job.

    Beautiful work. I didnt see them grind oil flow port to compensate for decking.

    Interesting to see how a shop does it compared to someone like Jafromobile

    Isn't is easier to mess up the mating surface of the valves when you do the valve work before porting and chamber work? Do you guys have flow bench numbers?

  • @Boosted98gsx
    @Boosted98gsx 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    It sure looks pretty. Got any flowbench numbers for it?

    Is there a reason for not hot tanking the head after the machining is completed?

    The sanding of the ports, wouldn't that enlarge the port and make the valve stem seal leak . No other way to remove the carbon ?

  • @InNerdimensional
    @InNerdimensional 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you done specific testing of flow vs scavenging? The smaller the ports, the less cfm is required for the same displacement of air in the chamber. The 2nd gen has more Hp from a smaller turbo from this affect. I'm wondering what the limit is on the smaller port design and if the restriction eventually becomes a hindrance. And I also don't know why people punch out the ports when you lose more air in the compression. It's like blowing through a straw vs blowing through a TP roll, it seems counter intuitive. Take the same bottom end with a 1g ported and a 2g polished, but not ported... and see which one pulls better numbers. Same everything else

    I just bought a 2L SOHC (4G63 2.0S) Starwagon here in Australia, which I believe was called a Spacewagon in other parts of the world. I want to know if these engines are hard to rebuild, they look quite simple, but I have no experience with rebuilding motors

    Nice work. How much does it cost to have this done? Can you do this to other 16V cylinder heads?

  • @4g63mark
    @4g63mark 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have to wonder if this was this guys first time doing head work. No back lit ports, plus he did the valve job before the porting. I'd call this a stage 1 at best

    • @ForceEngineering
      @ForceEngineering  9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      been doing it for 15 years I've always cut the seats before hand. Just different than the norm.. This head holds the stock appearing DSM turbo record and the FP black record. Call it whatever stage you think, it works.

      @wolfy9005 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +fast2300tbird Pro stuff isn't sold as "stages", people are just haters

    • @Sketch1994
      @Sketch1994 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fast2300tbird The only way to really match the ports to the seats completely is to cut the seats first...This is just a pro doing his work! Some people simply don't appreciate the back pain and white fingers it causes to make one of these!
