I actually only started eating pizza in highschool. Since then, I've eaten at almost every good pizza joint in philly. The pizza at this place is fucking off the hook. 9.7 from me, but of course I eat a lot less pizza than this guy. But in philly, he isn't kidding. That place is a mouth massage from god.

I was born and raised in the pizza industry. My father has had multiple pizzerias throughout the years. This is hands down one of the best pizzas i've ever had. Their cheesesteaks are some of the best in the city too; don't sleep on the cheesesteak from Angelo's. Killer pizza joint. Highly recommended if you're in the area and thinkin of giving it a try

Philly is an underrated food city. Go there get some Angelo’s Pizza and literally anything in Reading Terminal Market. That right there is worth the trip.

This is the most natural he has been with an owner of the restaurant makes it easier when the Pizza looks amazing and he seemed cool as hell. Probably the best of these one bite videos just seems genuine and the owner was very appreciative unlike some people who dont care or too weird or shy to be o camera

Nah Danny doesn't need it. Not to say he isn't appreciative, he totally is hes the most humble guy, but everyone knows Angelos does amazing pizza and sandwiches. Everything is from scratch and Danny is super picky about what he serves to the customers, he didn't like the way the dough came out one day so there was no pizza for the day instead of serving something he believed was sub-par.
as griff king said, the owner appreciates the prez giving him the publicity and the high score of course, but Angelo's is always packed from open to close everyday. I live in the Philly burbs, but work in the city a lot and am constantly talking myself into driving into the Italian market just to get to Angelo's. The Pizza is hands down the best in the city. I thought Pizza Shackamaxon was up there, but it's not worth the 45 minute wait plus the hipster snobbery you put up with by the creeps that work there. All of the sandwiches are delicious as well, you really can't go wrong with any order you choose. After this review the place may have the line to order down the street instead of just to the entrance like usual.

The prez effect is real. Even 3 years later. Went here two weeks ago. I had a 25 min wait time with a crowd outside already waiting on there’s. when I came back to pick it up, the wait had went up to hour & half. Ate my whole cheese pizza in one sitting. 9.2/10

I'm from CA, and I was visiting Philadelphia for a friend's wedding this past week. I remembered this video and went to Angelo's to try this pizza. It's absolutely amazing. It's my 10 until I find better pizza.

FINALLY ate here, hit up most the spots in Philly, NJ plus a few in NY and New Haven ... It's not the cheese or the sauce with this place, even though they're both excellent. It's the crust. They make it fresh, on site, every day and it's easily in my top 5. DeLorenzo's is 1 and Lucali 2, Sallys 3, Di Fara 4 and I gotta put Angelo's at 5.
Edit: added Di Fara and slid John's to 6. It's a sensational pie, but I don't get the same urge to go back like I do with the others. The bread at Angelo's is ridiculously good.

The power Dave portnoy carries over a fucking pizza review is underestimated... all I ever hear about his pizza reviews are that , assuming it was anywhere north of 7.8, that the pizza spot ends up getting hella orders the very next day. Crazy.

Drove 3 and a half hours just to try the pizza. 20 bucks per pie. It is the freshest pizza you'll ever have. When I ate the cheese. I was literally licking the fingers of the fat italian man who made it. The crust. So perfect. It's thick. Fluffy crunchy. I also had a pitruco pizza truck right outside the place. The wood fired pizza truck was also fucking AMAZING. So flavorful and thin. If you go you gotta have both.
I'll be in Philly next week for work from Houston and I can't wait to go here! I'm saving the top of the box and hanging it in garage!
