Got to be able to anchor in the Bay just Offshore of the Inn I stayed at in Massachusetts. Great Boatyard there too, for getting stuff delivered to. Peter the owner got me a proper highest quality Lewmar Delta Anchor too. a d their crew deserve any workmI can give them rbh, being a Natural Born Welsh idiot, they all spoiled me rotten. Same in the Inn too, gave me a massive discount for staying with them for two months in off season. It's time I bought them all another drink. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️❤️
Hi, we have 2 D-130 motors in the rear of our catamaran hulls, so the access to the motors is actually from behind them, unlike your monohull situation. All of your advice is gratefully taken, but may I ask how important is getting the motor to stop at TDC compared with simply having the relative 'valves open' positions you have cited? In our case, getting a look at the TDC marking on the main pulley is rather difficult but not impossible. Thanks in anticipation!
The first time is the worst but just take your time and hand crank the engine over before you try to start it. then you can double check you have done it right. 👍😉 Sail Safe mate. Ant & Cid

The TDC mark is also punched into the crank pulley. Make sure you are not 180 degrees out of line by watching the valves 👍Sail Safe mate. Ant & Cid

@@SVImpavidus Is the pulley mark the small circle, and should that be at the 12 o'clock position?
No there is a pointer in the casting with the degrees marked on it. Take a torch to the front casting and you will see it 👍

Never done that. Only a mechanic did it. I don't dare. If I screw up, it will screw up big time. Maybe ir's time to do it myself ?
