I think as it akso works aaa anode,the elecrical effwct keeps rgw paint surface erosing in a kind ofself cleaning effect ? may also be woerg slapping a few coats o expensive Anodes to makecthem last longer. Admission I haven't managed to test this yet, but as I pull out anbually anyway, I fully intend to on my next Sailboat, so will be able to report on how it performs. Cost insight - a litre tin of 97% Cold Galvanising Paint on UKAmazon, was about £24 a couple of years ago. One tin shpuld be enough to painy the Prop and all the Anodes roughly ? Best Wishes. You and Cid have spent a few seasons in Turkey how about producing a video about the pros and cons of sailing in Turkey in 2024 anchorages,marinas,general costs...what to expect now, particularly with the rampant inflation that Turkey is currently suffering and how it might be impacting sailors. Drone views give a spectacular, fresh perspective.

I put together a similar system using a compressor with a 7.5 liter tank. Tried with it set to around 5 bar, but the compressor ran continously and was unable to keep up, dropping to around 2 bar. No apparent leaks anywhere in the system. Any thoughts on why it can't maintain adequate pressure?

What size compressor would I need to support 4 to 5 divers for scalloping and lobstering? The dive is around 3 to 6 feet for both. Appreciate the information you provided especially about the importance of safety and understanding atmospheric pressure and what can happen to your body.

This is why we have GoPro knock-offs at £40 a pop instead of GoPros at £400 each. Our knock-offs even come with two batteries and they are all interchangeable. There are not as good as the real thing, but it hurts a lot less when they go *boom!*

Drone batteries, I know they are some kind if computers, but I think your are right about the gopro batteries. Maybe with a special bug in it. I hope the hero7 is better. I have one. So far, after more than 3 years, just one battery died. I gave it a proper funeral. Loved the video. Have a nice sail... Ellis & Roy

Hi guys.A trick worth trying with an in Mast Furling Main, which does cost more initially, is to have a Triradial Construction for a Battenless Main Sail ? Precision Sails and others now do them, and they eliminate the chafing wear and tear which makes unreliability creep in to furling and unfurling the Sail. According to Precision Sails, Triradial build recovers most of the power lost from not having Battens, plus the Sail keeps its shape for up to ten times longer than cheap Crosscut Dacron sails, which can lose their shape in a couple of seasons, as unlike with Triradial condtruction, you can’t really have Sail protecting reinforcement of Reefing points in the right places ? So for from double the price and up, you can have a very strong and very effective Cruising Main Sail. You can get a polyester laminated battenless Triradial Main built by the likes of Ullman and Quantum Sails as well. For a tough long lasting Genoa, the same sort of instruction seems to make a lot of sense as well, for the strong, Sail shape retaining proper reinforced Reefing Points ? It took me ages to find just what I was looking for in Sails, and for years, was fobbed off with - “We Only Do Battened Main Sails, and Precision Sails were the First to Reply with a - Yep, no problem, we’ve made a number of them, and added a - you’ll probably be interested to know, they recover most of the performance lost due to not having battens ! You must like horrible early mornings! They are one of the worse parts of cruising, in my opinion. Looking at your timings - it seems you could have got up at a more agreeable 8 am and still arrived in good daylight hours? Also, how is it you have your engine on yet have a reefed foresail? Looking at your ensign, it seems there was a nice true wind breeze to take advantage of, and looking at the maps you showed, it seemed you could lay your destination. It was a truly excellent music track at the end.

Good stuff. When I had my Bavaria I changed all of my external lights from halogen (or whatever they were) to LED. For some reason I never understood, the light indicator (boat diagram) always flashed when I selected them after switching to LED --- but as the external lights worked just fine, I just left it that way (flashing indicators rather than solid). Strange.
