what is the stainless cylinder in each of the tanks? Is that a carbon filter that the water passes threw on water changes? Great setup!!!!

All water passes through a carbon filtration before hitting the stainless steel cylinders in each tanks. those are the 10 bar float valve as we channel water directly with high pressure hence a 10 bar float valve will act as a safe guard measure from overflow even if the pressure is high. Appreciate the kind words.

Fantabolous Setup!!! Does the soil reset box in stainless square screen affects the water parameters? 700-800 grams as per how much Tank water ? How much amonia - ppm? thanks.

As caridina requires lower pH no KH the soil is around 700 grams. Ammonia of cos after cycle is 0. I'm heading towards a gravel setup on the floor and use the active soil in the basket and pot. Got some gravel but the color doesn't seem to work well. Will still need to get the right colors. That will be a new update walk-through again when I sort that out.

@@ShrimpSanctuary OIC, the purposed of the soil reset box(alreadyreseted soil) is to substitute the soil in the base floors, just like UGF box, so you can take and replace it easily. I have read that small lava gravel works well with shrimp but never tried it. This is a good exchange and learning oppurtunity.

Great setup. What happens to your water that you take out of tanks on water change? With that many tanks it would be a shame if all that water is going down drain . If this is case then in future I’d look at a way of reusing that used water for something. I use mine at home to water garden but that’s for only few tanks

Was thinking of discharging to a pond or to flush the toilet. Our AC water output is more than the water change done weekly, that's how much the AC pulls out humidity from the air during cooling.

Love your videos... new subscriber here, i've just started cycling my tank, it only has a thin layer of soil at the moment. But i noticed that i have green hair algae on top of the normal green dust. Should i be concern, any advice bro? Will shrimp eventually eat the GHA, or must i add certain fish or manually remove?

@@mervylau26 normally hair algae in a shrimp tank is pointing towards high PO4 levels. Manual removal, black out, ramshorn snail will help in about 2 weeks. Shrimp doesn't eat hair algae.
