    Stages of this project:
    1. Dismantle your pallet ( • How To Dismantle and R... )
    2. Decide the height and length of your bench and cut a kit of parts. This projects uses 8 lengths and 16 legs.
    3. Join the legs and lengths using glue and screws. Use a set square to ensure the corners are square.
    4. Cut lengths to fill in the outside gaps. Fix onto bench with glue and screws.
    5. Sand the bench to remove rough surfaces.
    6. Secure bench legs using off-cut between your leg pieces. Circular pieces made with a hole saw look good. Glue into place and clamp until dry.

Built one of these over a weekend after acquiring some pallets. I gave all the planks a light sanding before construction. And also I glued the leg support pieces into place rather than doing them after.

Sorry Craig... I respect what you are doing but I have to point out, That is not pallet wood. it is treated timber cut to a similar dimension of a Pallet's slat. but it is way too perfect.. no nail holes and no sanding. my money would be on this wood coming straight from the shop and being treated with a Wire wool and vinegar solution to give it a weathered effect.

      Hi Lynn,
It depends on the size and construction of the pallets that you are recycling. We recycled 6 pallets to build this bench. You can see how to take apart pallets here: th-cam.com/video/gPi0zDsqJUo/w-d-xo.html
