    Please ignore the banging noises. I left a fjolding camp chair in the cargo box unsecured.

    That's one of my favorite trails in Moab. It's the first serious offroad trail I ever drove - my FJ was stock when I drove it.

    Your rig is nice. That slow motion shot of your rear driver wheel getting off the ground was cool in the beginning. Do you have any recovery points in the front? I am running a stock bumper in the front and have been debating on getting something with some recovery points. Any suggestions?

      Thanks, Recovery in Moab is rare, unless it flash floods and you get stuck crossing a wash out. All I have is what you have, the stock tie down/recovery points.
      I want this but I think its Australia only. $100 shipping? www.roadrunneroffroad.com.au/rp-pra150-hd-tow-point-toyota-prado-150-pair

    Looks like a fun day Fester. What year is your FJ ? Mine is an 07, do I need lockers?
    Thanks Bob

      this is an '11. I never used my rear E locker, only 4L & Atrac. I'm the type that leaves it in 2wd until I need more, but the steep vertical ascents I would put it in 4L w/Atrac cuz I knew what would be needed. I do Fins several times a year, its a great trail to learn what these are capable of doing.

    Why have you never lifted or leveled your FJ??? Also what positive and negatives have you had going with the larger tires. Cool video and Cool FJ

      I have a 3" lift, 285/75/16 KO2's. all of that cost me 2.5 mpg. highway but gave me enough clearance to clear every trail that I would want to do. I'll let the Jeeps with 40's rock crawl.

      @@UncleFjester I enjoy going all the places the trust fund & credit card wheelers tell me I can't go. I've hurt a lot of Jeep owner's feelings, including my dad lol...

    Is that the box on your roof rack making all the noise?

    • @UncleFjester
      @UncleFjester  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, its a folding camp chair in the cargo box that is un secured. The cargo box & Rack are good. I need to remember not to leave shit up there.

    Try some high speed off roading 80mph/90mph without distroying your Toyota. The ultimate stress test.

    • @UncleFjester
      @UncleFjester  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're funny, I've tried high speed on roading and 90mph scares me in the FJ🙄

    • @Fall-off-currencies
      @Fall-off-currencies 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UncleFjester did you do 90mph? I think the only thing that can handle that is a gen 2 raptor that's why I have a 2018 raptor it can do enything, there are a lot good off-road machines but the raptor is another level. But thanks and keep on.

      Fancy raptors ain't for hard core off road. Ford made them just to show off and suck up your deep pockets !
      Now Japanese are the smart MoFoS, they ain't greedy AF, but hell yah, they know how to OVER engineer their shit, and impress all kindza people : soccer moms, daily commuters, business and rich people and off roaders ... you name it.
      And yah, they get it right every single year. No wonder why they're sitting on a throne made of engine block and wearing a crown made of dangling pistons !

      I have a 07 MT stock (no lift) and have done 85 mph on a freeway, and let me tell you its wound out in 6th gear and not much fun.
