Also I suspect that being changed to gold or a sweet roll DOES kill you. It showed the "bounty added" message immediately. Also the sweet roll is an inventory item and not an NPC

The "non-lethal" methods of defeating each of the bosses in Dishonored are all horrifying, and yet poetically cathartic.
I don’t know man...
..I feel (personally) Dishonored’s NL choices edge too far into the heavy-handed and/or terribly cruel “territory” to be described as “cathartic”.

@@hansmatheson5976 Do you know what "cathartic" means? Forget yourself even, it's cathartic to the player character even more. Every single one of the people you kill is in some way complicit or involved in the death of the Empress, whom you cared deeply for and they pose to harm the society you live in to gain from it.

Once hit a mudcrab with the wabbajack. It turned invincible, and permanently aggressive against any NPC. I come across it every now and then ahead of the line of dead bodies and destroyed villages.
A normal game studio: "Hey, there's a bug here. Let's take it out."
Obsidian: "Hey, there's a bug here. Let's make it into a joke weapon!"
Bethesda: "Hey, there's a bug here...and here... and here... and here... and here... and here... and over there... and up there...huh... Lets add more microtransactions."

If the K9000 has a dog's brain, ears that perk up when enemies are around, and sniffs for enemies too... Isn't it actually a more effective attack dog getting infinite walkies without the mess..? Well at least not one you have to clean up.

There's also a perk that gives Fire spells a chance to incinerate enemies low on health, turning them into piles of ash.
They still drop items, but same necromancy problem.

The wabbajack ain't mean at all! Who doesn't want to be a gold coin? Or be a mudcrab? Its great fun! Who doesn't love fun? You said it yourself, it's deliciously horrible to turn them into a wheel of cheese!

I still remember The Sheepinator from Ratchet and Clank. You turn your enemy into a harmless sheep, and if you're determined enough, you can upgrade it so the sheep also explode.
Implode is a weapon that causes "ruptured organs, explosive blood spray, and a whole bunch of screaming."
By me. I'm the one who is screaming. Now, and probably forever since hearing that description.
Honestly, the descriptions of most of the spells, weapons and artifacts in that game are just brilliant if you want a lot of horrific imagery, Implode is just one of many.
Nah, the cruelest was controlling some npc to take to the demon forge to be torn apart in return for some items
The saving grace is that it seems rather quick. Also, you'd probably go into shock and be dead well before popping.

If you include the Rat swarm from dishonored you should also include the vigor "a murder of crows" from bioshock infinite. What more brutal way than being pecked to death by a swarm of crows?

Possession vigor as well, have your mind enslaved to it's owner, and then be forced to bludgeon yourself to death when it wears off

The implosion one reminded me of a skill in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines: Blood Boil. Make a person's blood literally boil until the pressure...well, Kain said all that needs saying about pressure...
I wonder which clan Kain fits in with?

Kain would probably be directly analogous to Caine since he is the 'father' of the modern vampire types in LoK. I specify modern vampire types for anyone that's actually played the games.
@@VergilAngelus Yep not the ancient winged and blueish ones, and not even the first human ones (was it Vorador? I think it was:)) but later on the father of all the new ones (like Raziel in his pre-reaver of souls state :P). The lore there is a bit confusing with all the time paradoxes but i think i remembered it right ...

Why just Implode? I enjoy Penta-lich of Tarot! Why have havoc and brutality in only 1 spot on screen? Have practically all the 'item' deaths going on at once! Have some implode! Some explode into meaty chunks! and other melt into a poisonous, plagued pile of goo dangerous to all who pass through it! Made even better once you know how to send other sacrifices into the spirit forges via mind control! Get so many of these items you may as well never bother with the regular spells unless required (or do the go to game breaker of chaos armor, energy bank (as needed), and repel; become immune to damage while your attackers gleefully kill themselves!)
Skyrim: pretty much any enchanted weapon. I mean, as if fueling your weapon on the souls of your enemy wasn't bad enough, Dawngaurd had to go and show us where all those souls end up for eternity.

I thought the soul burned out after you fueled your weapon with it and they just stayed in the soul crain until they were used

@@rebelwolf772 - I don't know, it's elder scorlls lore, it's self contradictory and confusing. Either way, using the souls of your enemies to power your weapons doesn't seem like a good thing, regardless of what happens with that soul.

Rome 1 and medieval 2 total wars: Plague, just plague. Get a spy infected, send them to an enemy city, watch half the people die, get an easier battle when you attack it.

It is established canon that Mike has the Gambit-like ability to make any object he throws explode.
#5 reminds me of the "Blood Boil" attack in "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines".

tbh... the K9000/fido actually like you to use him... and it will whimper sadly when you decide to change your weapon...

and its eat bullet as the think tank said, and the reason they give it to you is because they ran out of bullet for fido to eat. so you give him treat if you reload him lol...

The first thought I had of a bad guy weapon was the Cerebral Bore from Turok 2. It drills into the eye of a victim only to detonate an explosive in the brain.

I feel like I need a Science degree based solely upon hearing that pronounciation.

I honestly felt really nostalgic hearing Kain's voice again Simon Templeman did such a great job, he could make reading the Terms of Services sinister, or a takeaway menu.
NGL I got a little giddy just hearing him. All the weird little things about that game seem really fun right about now. I'm going to go replay it, go walk around in meat armor because it's hilarious and get really confused by the Doll Maker section all over again.
@@YourWaywardDestiny I honestly never really finished it properly as a kid, I got stuck after legging it from Malik and child me didn't know how to get to Vorador.
But seriously the way he described the properties of items, I swear when he was talking about the Inspire Hate spell he sounded like he was being pleasured by the thought.
@@MoonlightStrider This game was pretty good about letting you know Kain is an asshole. It was made in a time that Anne Rice vampires were big, so hate-loving him was perfected. If you can find a copy and a PS1 with all the accompaniments, it might be worth another try through. Simon Templeman's performance doesn't get any less great throughout. It's certainly better than the cutscenes.
I remember someone claiming they broke the Markarth quest to turning someone important into a sweetroll and eating them by accident
Got one with questionable consequences, the Celestial Claw from Amid Evil, it's basically a staff that Steals planets out of space and time, shrinks them down inside the staff, and shoots them like rockets, and yes you can capture the Earth sometimes and blast it at enemies :)
what sort of enemy are you fighting that hurling planets at them isn't overkill? O_o'

I'd say the claw and it's cousin the Infinium are underpowered for the task.
I remember playing Shadow Warrior at lunchtime at school one and just cycling firing modes on the guardian head and grossing out my friend with the squelching sound it makes.
In skyrim, I killed a dragon with 239 cheese rolls thanks to the telekinesis spell. Man I love cheese.

I have a few mods on Skyrim that do a couple things similar to Wabbajack. If a guard says "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll", it turns them into a sweetroll. If they say the line about arrows to the knee, they get struck by lightning. If Nazeem says the line about going to the Cloud District, he gets flung up into the air VERY high, then crashes back down, still alive. Three mods that I will never play without.
Now we know what happened to the NPCs in early ME:Andromeda: someone with a Mandibular Rearranger got loose.

You know I read the title of this and thought you were talking about weapons that were just plain terrible or bad and I immediately thought anything given to you by Sheogorath. After hearing what you actually meant by that title I was pleased to know that my answer still wasn't wrong.
my favorite thing about the Wobbajack specifically is that it can break the game, because it can turn a quest essential NPC into a sweetroll.

Skyrim Nexus Mod - Inside-Out spell =^_^=
When you first meet the members of the Dark Brotherhood, a cranky old mage-assassin named Festus Krex, tells a story of his latest job, in which he tried out a new spell he's been working and almost turned his target inside out. You can now use this spell to turn your enemies into a pile of goo bits =^_^=
This reminds me of the time I used the climate adjusting terraforming tool as a weapon in Spore. I raised the temperature on any enemy planet until it was so hot that all the trees and wildlife died, and the residents of the capital city were trapped in their own energy to keep the heat out. I used global warming to ruin an entire alien planet.
You can do some really messed up things in that game. Genocide, brainwashing, blowing up entire planets.

So yeah, there pretty much aren't any weapons we wouldn't wield when commanded by our mistress of the dark.
The army of Jane really needs a cool catchphrase worthy of our magnificent ruler.

I preferred to look at the k9000 as another pet. I took it for walkies all the time, and when it located bad guys I called it a good boy. In my playthrough, my canine cannon loved his life.

Had an adventuring party that used to cast it on their own Warrior in full plate armour (who had a ring of fire resistance) after which they would bear hug opponents to red hot death. The evil part was it made me as DM have to use the >shudder< grappling rules.

If you can instal it at all try using dgVoodoo or similar software to simulate old directx/graphic card/, or try DosBox, or both. It not always works but i could make most of my old games work on win 10 with those.
Ok, but the K9000 seems to be happy to have a friend at least using the pupper. I couldn't stop using it even if I got a better minigun, the poor thing deserves better than to be sold or stored away forever, so I always kept it in my arsenal, along with the talking stealth suit.
Thank you for the term "coffin filler." Just know that I will be stealing it for use in appropriate occasions.

For an extra unnerving edge, a hole that leads into the interior of the body is known as a 'meatus'. I am cursed with this knowledge, so now you are too.

Technically you can make it 7 if you also include the eye holes. Just requires a bit of extra pushing to get in them though.

What about Helios head in god of war 3..I know it's not much of a weapon but using a head is pretty inhuman although kratos do like to use decapitated head as a weapon in most of his game
I use the Norfleet I Borderlands 2; a lot ...and no I'm not sorry.
The human head has 7 holes, the mouth, the nostals, ear holes and the eyeball sockets. ;)
If you cut the head off, you'll have 8 including the neck hole.

There is, as a killstreak weapon. It's effectively a temporary large-scale smokescreen that makes you cough and move slower.

He means the Good old Napalm grenades from MP, here is the difference: Spec Ops:The Line falls into the category of warcrimes while in Cod nobody bats and eye… the difference? People dont use White phosporus against civilians in MW, unlike mister Captain Martin Walker did.
Mistaking the civilians on the radar for a group of soldiers but he was batshit insane by that point.

TO BE FAIR, I adopted K9000 so he wouldn't be alone. In fact, I let Rex carry Fido so they can share walks together. I mean, they can still speak to each other, and are cybernetic. Rex and K9000 are family
Another thing about the K9000. When you equip or draw it, it 'barks excitedly' but when to holster/unequip it, it 'whimpers sadly'.
That was a very cute sound for the smiley face on the first entry!!! And I will most definitely use ”deliciously horrible” in the future!
I just realized the Microwave Pulse Emitter from Soldier of Fortune isn't in here. You had the delightful options of "cooked from the inside out until bursting into flames" or "swell up and explode".
