    Great video! It’s sad how often femininity is seen and represented as lesser, and belittled even by women who are feminists themselves. This was a great theme to think about.
    You are awesome, keep it up!
    Just a minor criticism, the voiceover didnt really appeal to me, its kinda too robotic and flat. Maybe there’s another option you could try?

    Mulan isn't a tomboy though. She needs to disguise her self as a man in order to save her injured Father from being sent into the war instead. She defeats the villain with a fan. An symbol of femininity. This is dumb.

    I don't think tomboy characters really challenge gender stereotypes
    Mostly because they still rely on them
    "Oh, she's a girl, but she has short hair and fixes cars"
    To my opinion, a better way to break gender norms would be to just
    Ignore
    The stereotypes
    And let them do literally whatever they want
