Just got into MTB last year, I’m really enjoying the sport, and one of the things I love the most is doing my own maintenance, which I could never have done it without your inspirational video’s, thank you guys. I’ve purchase at least half your tools so far, and the WH-1 would be a great addition. I’ve purchased bikes for everyone at home, so I have quite a bit of maintenance every couple of months on the wheels. So I’ll use this tool for tire replacements, sealant maintenance, and for assisting with dishing and truing my wheels when I purchase the Park Tool Professional Wheel Alignment Guage, and Professional Truing Stand. I’m also going need that coffee mug, super cool socks, of course the hat, and you forgot the beer cap opener. Thanks again Calvin and Truman for all the great video’s!

I’m 16 year old working at a bike shop slowly getting tools 🛠 to work on my own bikes the wh1 could really help me as a home mechanic, because as you working at a bike shop you realize how many tools you’re missing at home and trying some hacks with current tools the wh1 could really make my life a lot more easier. Thank you park tool for the opportunity!!

I plan on opening a bicycle repair shop when I retire from teaching In May 2020
This tool would be a fantastic asset to my bench.
I started teaching myself repairs by using your TH-cam videos as well as studying your shop manuals
My latest success was delivering 15 refurbished bicycles to the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie

I would end up bringing the WH-1 into the service department at work. Sharing what I've learned from this video to my co workers. It seems like it can be a time saver, all while keeping the work area cleaner with less tubeless sealant on the shop floor. Less working down low, off of the ground for tire changes as well. Rad! The wheel lacing idea is great. Would definitely put that to use in our service department.

I am 13 and about 5 months new to the biking topic, and love it! I am also in need of tools. I would use this awesome tool to change flats, make sure my wheel is straight, and maybe even learning how to tru a wheel with it. This tool will make my life much easier, I do not own a bike repair stand so changing flats are more difficult. Lastly, I thank you parktool for the great tools and educational content I have learned so much in the course of 5 months.

I would absolutely find this tool invaluable in my home shop! Lacing wheels, cleaning my cassette, working on my hubs, installing tape and tires, you name it! Most importantly, Id be able to wow my riding buddies with just how cool and practical this Park tool is! Calvin and Truman, you guys kill it everytime!

I work overseas and have limited access to good bike shops, so I have to do it all myself. I am also the community bike shop wherever I am stationed. So if I had a WH-1 I would put it to use servicing all of my bikes and the bikes of my riding partners wherever I go. Spreading joy and the good name of Park Tool.

Really enjoy using the WH-1. Another great Park tool that makes working on wheels much easier. One of those tools that you don’t think you really need until you buy it and use it a few times. I hesitated to purchase it due to the relatively high cost for what it is, but when I began using it the rugged build quality became very evident. Worth every penny. My only gripe is the spacer design. I have large fat hands with a lot of miles on them and I swear I drop that little metal spacer on the floor 5 or 6 times before I finally manage to insert it. But I am not sure how you would redesign it for clumsy fingered people like me. Also when I am using the support rod in the horizontal position to apply tape to a tubeless rim I have to be careful not to pull the rim sideways off the support rod. It would be nice if the rod was longer perhaps, so it would extend all the way through the hub, and had a threaded end to which one could attach a wing nut or something to better secure the wheel to prevent it from sliding off the rod. . Obviously not a problem with the rod in the 45 or 90 degree position. Just minor first world annoyances as my better half would say. All in all a great tool.

I would use the WH-1 for tubeless tire instillation, cassette maintenance and wheel cleaning. I would weld a plate to an old BMX seat post so I could use the WH-1 with my PCS-10 repair stand. That way I could also use the WH-1 when needed while traveling. Love this tool, best new tool I've seen in a while.

WH-1 after one day in use: I never ever give it away! Very functional for almost every work on wheels. Cleaning, changing tires (tubeless or other), checking the wheel alignment ...). I just would suggest to have kind of a stop for the wheel not to come off the axle easely in the vertical position. Nevertheless I highly recommend this tool!

Thanks gents, and keep up the good work.

The endless list of uses, the WH-1 would definitely help me work on wheels at the home shop. I wouldnt have to balance the wheel between me and the bench any longer, Truman really showed how changing tire and sealant would help as well as Calvin showing the possibilities of wheel building all of these are on my to do list for a 27.5+ wheel build i have going on.

I almost expected an appearance by the Mirthmobile! I wish we had the WH-1 when I worked in a repair shop. I worked on thru axle hubs by skewering them on a 3/8" extension clamped into an AV-5 in the bench vise. I would use the WH-1 for all of the applications featured in this video, and I'd probably discover a few new uses along the way. I think it would be particularly useful for taping rims, adjusting hubs, and mounting tubeless tires. Very cool tool!

  • @davidkilroy156

The WH-1 would make a fantastic addition to my shop and most likely save a bunch of time while changing; cassettes, tires, spokes/nipples, rim tape, rotors, etc. I love tools ALMOST as much as bikes, WH-1 looks awesome.

we're more than 2 years past that particular tech tuesday for winning one, but that's ok.
i have a pcs-10, several park tools (with an eye on more), and considering getting a wh-2
(the economy model of the wh-1).
life is good with park tools.

Tubeless setup would be a doddle with this bad boy! That's what I would use it for, and basically looking dapper in the workshop.

I opened a shop from home (Jimbo's bike repair) last year. This would be a great addition to my park tool set.

I would build a hub into a wheelset, put tire sealant on the tire, and pump it up. I will use it to assist me on my everyday wheel repairs. The WH-1 is something that I want to keep forevermore. "I'm a bike mechanix!" ;-)

If I win, I would use it to know my bike mechanism, repairs, maintenance while watching park tool videos, it would help a lot 😁

New House, new shop, new bench, new tool for my cargo, Gravelcross, Singlespeed, and Jones bikes! When you fetishize handbuilt wheels, a special wheel tool is part of the plan. I won't win, but I will buy this tool!

Excellent video using a single for so many jobs, brilliant. Someone really thought this through well done park tools and great that you and we are having fun while you are doing the work. Good to find out how the wheel lacing went!

My sons and I would benefit greatly from this tool we go pretty hard up here in the hills around Yosemite. Win or not this tool will be in the garage sooner or later thanks for all the help weve dialed in brakes, rotors, shifters, derailers and such. all pretty much from you tutorials keep up the great work

Brilliant idea, I could have used the wh-1 last summer. And i will need the wh-1 this summer for mountain bike or road bike wheel maintenance. Great idea,

I'm sure I'm gonna do pretty much everything on my wheels using the WH-1 (but only after watch all those your AMAZING videos telling me perfectly how to do it!)!!!!!! Aside from the giveaway (I don't know if I'm eligible, cause I'm in Canada - I'm gonna buy it anyway lol), men, your videos are fantastic. I'm pretty sure you've heard that all the time, but as an amateur bike mechanic I have to say my life changed when I've discovered the Park Tool Channel! Congrats and thank you A LOT!

I love it. You could even improvise a truing stand with that thing, just by adding a point of reference somewhere on the bench. But I'd need to have it on my bench in order to make it up.... should be something adjustable, of course... hmm, I already have some ideas.... now I just need the WH-1 :)

I would use the WH-1 (clamped in a vice, Truman style) for nearly any and all service that involves the wheel, including servicing DT Swiss 240s face ratchets, servicing standard pawl free hubs, tubeless setup, tubeless refresh, cleaning and inspecting, and other things I haven't yet considered.

Definately would be an useful upgrade to the bench! No more searching for the bored out chunk of 2x4 to place on the floor to check wheel dish. Would like to use for the wheel rebuild with my son, seems like the elevation in a vise would make the process easier.
Keep up the good work. Enjoying the videos.

I would use the WH-1 to adjust the loose ball bearings in my vintage cup and cone wheels! Also, the WH-1 would be helpful in holding my 29er wheels to install rotors. No more awkwardly laying wheels in my lap and dirtying clothes for basic wheel maintenance. Awesome tool!
