Those are two of the most beautiful Teles I've ever seen and they're Squiers. I honestly might end up having to buy one because they look unbelievable at that price point.
These are insane value, they look and sound gorgeous. I love the double bound look. I was teaching with my '85 MIJ Telecaster Custom. It's live debut was with a punk band, none of my other guitars got a look in but I have used it for jazz, rock, prog, whatever since.
@ Because I gig with either a Princeton or a Plexi depending on what I’m doing - in a pinch this would cover either if I had a failure. So for me this might be a good £299 to spend to cover.
Great demo Guys!!!! I remember 20 years ago when Marshall bought out the MG fx range and they were SO cheap but awesome!! These fender amps are amazing value👍
I’ve been using the champion 40 for years and it’s been great. Some of the digital modelling and effects were a bit iffy but there were 2-3 settings on it that sounded very good, so I just stuck to those. The phones output was great to record home stuff with as a line out. The recorded line out tone sounded better then it should to be fair. If the champion 2 series is like that but upgraded I think it’s a great choice for do it all home studio and practice amp as well as the 100 is definitely loud enough to gig with. Only thing is, any effects you put in front of then, especially distortion type stuff will make it completely glitch out unless you keep it to clean channel and no effects. I’ve swapped my 40 for an old fender frontman 212r for gigging purposes. It’s cheap and seriously loud, got real spring reverb tank and the clean channel sounds incredibly well on it especially with fuzz in front. Shame they’re so unreliable though but even if it dies you have a decent 212 cab. Anyway, my name is Tom and that was my ted talk haha
That's a nice pair. And the Teles are no' bad, too. I love how distinct the amp models are on the Champs - I don't know how accurate they are but the fact that their different colours are easily distinguishable even on laptop speakers says a lot.
The Telecaster was, is and always will be the king of electric guitars!! Very cool Teles. Sorely tempted by a rosewood board one after having my Chinese CV50s Squier for like 4 years and playing it every day. Such a cool guitar
The rhythm player in my band plays a 1×12 champion and it sounds great. We play with a very loud drummer and I can say it is easily loud enough to gig with if mic'd up.
Great video guys…some of the negative comments on here though (shakes head). Keep on doing what you do...best in the business. Some amazing bang for buck in this video…👍
I wish Fender USA would do this on their teles. I have a 2022 Dark Night tele that would look awesome with black double binding. Also, double cream binding on a Texas Tea Tele would look awesome too!
A few crappy comments I see, at least we hear plenty of the cleaner tones instead of heavy metal or similar which so many reviews overdo. Not worried about their playing so much as what the damn amp sounds like. I have ordered the 50 today and if it works out to be as good as it sounds here I will get the 100 at some point. I know no amp will have everything you want, you need to improvise rather than grizzle. At this price point there is little to complain about.
That olive green tele is sweet ❤if it had been out a few weeks ago I might have got one, in the end I found a half price Chrissie Hynde tele, which is awesome😊
Double bound teles are my weakness. Swap the necks out for maple, new pickup and I’m good to go. Perfect mod platform. I’ve got the olive one I put a thinline pickguard on.
I love the Teles. The amps seem promising, especially the 25-watt model, for home/bedroom use. I'm wondering how well these amps do with pedals. Specifically, boosters, compressors, and OD pedals? Or are they better as just plug-in and play type amps?
Is the speaker any better than the old Champions? At anything past 6 or 7 on the volume dial the speaker just couldn't properly handle the level. There was a lot of weirdness in some effects, specially when combined with the overdrive channel
I have the 212 with flight case. I’m buying a 112. That way I can put it and my acoustic amp in my 212 flight case. 50 watts is loud enough for where I play. I have to mic up with a plexiglass front defuser, very little stage volume.

Regarding the 25w and 50w amps, I would rather have an FX loop than a multifx switch. I dont know how much it is to install an FX loop but i wouldnt mind spending another £20 on an amp.
listening to today's tele's and yesterdays gibson's. gibson are over charging for there sound. they do look pretty, but sounded very thin. where as, both tele's sounded richer and more dynamic. and still look pretty enough.
Andertons have 134 Squires listed, if which 4 are LH.... and it's ashame because Fender / Squier do make great guitars and actually Andertons seem like a good bunch and have been decent on the few occasions I've used them. But, it's just an underserved market
We need a 5-20w fender head. I dont even care if its hybrid power stage. Just give me the fender tone in a convenient small head to go with the countless 1x12 cabs
that clean is pretty good. sounds solid state but the timbre and EQ is really nice. almost like its own thing. but agree with Lee. why would something digital not allow you more than one FX? at least have the most logical ones mashed together as one setting. trem and reverb but can't use together? come on!
Those double bound Classic Vibe teles are ALL SUPERSEXY. I recently got the Oxblood and it's beautiful (the oxblood is a bit darker than usual... bit like a superdark burgundy mist) but a bit heavy. Still love it and play it every day!
Fun video! The 50watt sounded pretty righteous watching on my TV. Too bad chances are good it won’t sound like that in person. I think your interface was really helping it out. Strange the 100 watt sounded… well just like the SS that it is. I heard the room mics during a switch and I think that’s closer to what it would sound like. I’m still curious to give one a try in person. For the price of a pedal ? That’s hard to beat! Remembering a SS Princeton Chorus 212 combo I had many years ago that sounded super nice.
There is no such thing as a bad tele. I have had a Chinese Squier for 20 years and its still solid. What a unit.
Same for me!
