Another beautiful Cort. When i was a kid we thought that Cort were just cheap copies. Now i have 14 guitars in my collection and three of my favorites were all made by Cort! I have become a fan.
@@markpell8979 Yup! I have an SE 24 08, a Laguna, and a heavily modified Squire. All three are Corts, and all three have incredible build quality and are excellent instruments. When i was a kid i wished that the Corts said Fender or Gibson on the headstock. Now i have three of them that do say the parent companies name, and now all i want is one that actually says Cort! Life is funny.

@@stevenpipes1555 Some models were built in Korea but now the majority, if not all , the Premier Series are now built in Indonesia. I have had two--and recently bought a Premier Mini DC. @@markpell8979 not 100% true. PRS has their own factory. Yes, it's a faction of Cort, but it's separate and has its own standards it follows set by PRS. They've gone in to great detail about this
I love D'Angelico's style Headstock. Art Deco. But they especially sound awesome for the price. I have the Acoustic 12 string. the Premier Mini DC XT . and thinking of this one now. Awesome flame and overall color, for 900$USD great deal
D’Angelico is just plain cool. Although I don’t own one, I love the vibe, style, and quality of everything they do. That Premier Bedford with the P90s is probably my favorite, although that seems to change every time I look at their lineup. Someday….
Very Cool, Thankyou. Stunning looking, sounding Guitar and playing. WOW. That Flame Finish is Amazing. Nice addition to collection. Congrats. Nice Work D'Angelico, Sweetwater and Landon. All the Best. Cheers
Beautiful looking, awesome sounding guitar. Thanks for the review. You cracked me up too. I like the pick guard on...or off, but I like it on. It enhances the Art Deco look from vintage New York.
I just purchased one of these on closeout w/ the stair-step trapeze. I think it ties the art-deco look together more, but I wish it had the ebony knobs shown here. Seems like they made several changes- does anyone know if the newer ones are made in a different factory, and what all the differences are? I've read that older ones have plastic nuts (haven't gotten mine yet), newer have NuBone. Also, the tuners look different. Enjoyed the video. Thanks!
I have had the Premier SS for 2 or 3 years, it is a great guitar. The body is just slightly smaller than traditional semi hollows and is comfortable to play. BTW, large potentiometers of crappy quality are not better than small ones of good quality. Open up a Marshall amp, they are all small pots, and work fine for many years. I don't understand the fixation against small pots.
Have you had any issues with the guitar over that 2 - 3 year period? I'm thinking of buying one but played a 2018 Excel at GC recently and it had frets replaced, bad QC on the fretboard around the frets and a loose, cheap toggle switch.
@@sunlightpictures8367 No issues at all. I have not even made any setup adjustments since I tweaked it to my preference when I first got it. The selector switch does not feel as smooth as a Switchcraft brand part, but has not come loose or malfunctioned.
The difference in pots these days is more about endurance. The small pots wear out quicker. The small ones can often last years. the big ones can even last decades. These days half the guitars are resold before a pot wears out. Considering the difference in price though many companies are going back to bigger ones as it is a good selling feature and easier than educating the players. Since it is easy and cheap to clean your pots without even doing more than pulling the knobs off the smart player can grab a can of spray cleaner lube and even just once a year keep the pots going indefinitely. A set of 4 good pots equal to what is put into a MIA guitar is only $30.00 USD so they can hardly be called pricy. Yes you can pay as much each but unless you are moving your pots as you play every tune better are not overly needed. An old MIA guitar has the equivalent of the 4 for $30 type and some are still in use. They often are gummed up by tobacco smoke, lol. not a problem these days.
Very fresh way of having a channel and I thank you for it . Your so funny bro , in French we call it « pince sans rire ». I don’t know how to translate it. Hi from Montreal canada quebec❤
High end guitar for a budget guitar price, I think it's beautiful and it sounds great, hard to beat the quality, they definitely pay attention to detail.
....I didn''t pause the video, but I would have guessed Ebony fretboard. I just didn't want you to think I cheated. Also, I was a little relieved that it wasn't an 11 way switch! ;)
What’s up? Well I’m Getting a New Electric-Wheelchair next week. It’s so incredible that it will actually allow me to Stand up….. and Still move…… SAY-WHAT????? What is This Witchcraft? It even has an onboard phone charger! I just want to know if I can plug my guitars into it! Then life will be complete 😂. Thanks Landon.
I got the EX DC model hoping it might be a nice substitute for a Gibson 335. I really didn't like the pickups...just anemic and flat sounding. Nothing like a 335. Also, the neck is like a flattened D shape and is wide...and I prefer a more "'59" style neck. Anyway, pretty guitar, nicely finished, good fretwork....BUT no vibe....bad sound...weird neck shape.
Are you telling me that when my guitar strings spontaneously buzz it's my father stuck in a black hole with advanced human-aliens trying to convey singularity physics with me one chromatic note at a time? Or does that only work if I buy a D'Angelico Premier SS Series guitar.
😂 Fender’s Pau Ferro can definitely be suspect. I’ve used Pau Ferro on Warmoth necks, and it’s always been great…anyways, D’angelico makes cool stuff, and this guitar seems like another good one.
I had the D angelico mini DC premier, a kind of ES 339, the weight of the neck was to high, the guitar head was falling, not balanced at all, very bad design, hope, the model shown has not this default.😅
Have you tried the Firefly FF338? (Obviously a copy of the 335.) I have a feeling you'd be impressed with it and it's under $200. You can take a peek in my F hole if you want. 🤷♂

But semi hollow guitars are red, I checked my 335. This is too weird.
