Snapper Everywhere! - Also, Something Special on the Troll

- Perth Fishing - It has been a while since I last headed out wide, so even though the weather wasn't great, i headed out to bag a couple of Snapper.
On the way back in, I stumbled across some birds and bait schools, so I threw out a lure and trolled up something completely unexpected....

Nice work, crazy getting that snapper on the troll through a bust up. Was that yesterday? 14kn nne was pretty bad. I headed out early (4am) to get the light winds but it was the opposite and the arvo was lighter. Paper towel inside your vacuum pack above the fish will absorb the juice that gets sucked up during the suction and you get a nice dry seal up top👌
Hi Ryan, cheers mate. Was pretty cool getting that Snapper! Yeah it was yesterday, the ban is in this week so was itching to get out before that. Weather is never what they forecast hey, it was pretty sloppy. Good tip on the vac pack 👌 thanks mate.
@@Damo_Vinci no worries. Yeah we headed out from point peron in the dark hoping to get out to the 40m area but was way too rough,so ended drifting the back of the 5 fathom bank and ended up with a 53cm King George. Pretty pumped for targeting the big King George during the ban.
@ryantweddle3167 I'm also looking forward to getting into some KG's! They are the next species I need to crack up this way. I've caught quite a few but looking for consistency hahahaaaa. Good luck getting into 'em mate 👍
Great effort there Damo, great to see the local producing quality fish. That second snappers a cracker! I'm hanging to get out, but seems like every time I'm home from work the winds against me and now the bans about to kick in. 😂

Nice work mate. I do a lot of snapper trolling and it's one of the best ways to target them
Cheers mate! Yeah right, it's not really that common over here. There are definitely people that do it, but it's not the go-to method for targeting them that's for sure. I'm gonna give it a bit more of a go in future to see if it's something worthwhile pursuing, for sure 😎👍
Nice pinkys mate. How cool was it catching that one on the troll hey? I reckon you would do well to replicate that, it's probably a rare event. We did ok Saturday morning - loads of small pinks but also got a good mid-60s one so happy days.

HI Damo I was right after talking to you at the boat ramp me and the wife watched your video and she has been giving ne no end of greif. Why did I come home with no fish when the snapper are every where on your video, hopefully my turn to get one or two this weekend.
Hi Russell! Hahahaaaa, really sorry mate! Was great to meet you and have a chat. This weekend is looking pretty good weather wise, so can get out a bit wider. Unfortunately, the demersal ban is back on, so no Snapper or Dhuey's for a little while 😮💨 but plenty of other species to target like tuna, kingies, kg whiting etc 😙👌 Best of luck mate and might see you out there 👍 Cheers!
