Out targeting Perth storm snapper from the stones again, heavy swell, big winds, rain & a lack of concentration & I came unstuck.. very lucky/unlucky in this weeks episode. Please everyone be safe out there no fish is worth a life.

Took a fall @ the north mole years ago, had a glass drink bottle in my left hand at the time.. fond memories of driving columnshift kingswood to freo hospital for stitches. Glad ya safe mate, better luck next session.

I started to fish again recently after 20+ years i quickly realized that at 65 rock fishing is not safe for me anymore

Cheers Paul. Yes 100% looking back at the footage we should have bailed well before that moment, too keen. Yeah not ideal when you know you falling and your thought is “shit just protect head, who cares if you break your leg” isn’t good 😅 but we good lucky. Beach sesh next time 😎✅🐟

I had a bit of a scare a few days later in the boat so a lesson for us both to not get complacent.

Man just goes to show how easily it can go wrong ae or almost go so wrong, I think that was prob the little wake up call I needed, just to think though the situation a little better and accept that sometimes “ ah she’ll be right “ prob isn’t good enough while playing with the ocean. Lesson learned, looks like we maybe dished up some calmer seas this weekend 😎😁🐟👍🏻

Buddy i got cleaned up at ocean reef marina like over 20 years ago. I rushed in,the water looked great,threw a bait out and hooked up straight away. Got my fish in and as i was unhooking the fish i turned to look at the ocean and i was out of time. I got washed off the rock i was standing on and ended up upside down in the rocks behind me. Big wakeup call!.

I almost wasn’t going to share anything about this incident but then I thought if it makes just one person think twice while fishing those conditions then that’s a good thing, completely caught me off guard, I got lucky but it really taught me just how quickly it can go wrong. Just like with some of my fishing advice I hope this video will also help someone 🎣✅🐟

Nah man I know I got lucky, but also so unlucky. Big waves coming right over the top we should have left before that happened looking back, still limping around not ideal at all..

Sorry to hear Jack. I fell on rocks at Mandurah heads about ten years ago. Broke two vertebrae in my back was in agony for two months off work. Could easily ended up in wheelchair for the rest of my life. Take care guys no pinky is worth your life.
Wow man that’s heavy, were you fishing? Again, unlucky but so lucky to not be worse and stuck in a chair… I wasn’t paying attention for a split second and had my back to the sea and this wave just hit me in the back that hard I went flying I had a split second to think and just told my self “ just land on you legs protect your head “ wasn’t great but very happy I got a split second to prepare for the fall..

I really hate what they have done to the rocks up that top end, makes it almost impossible to fish except from the very top on the outside.

Hahaha the rod an the camera gear luckily stayed in the rod holders some how and where all ok, can’t say the same for my head lamp, tackle, bait & a few other things though they are long gone 😅 prob just the little reminder I needed not to get too complacent shouldn’t have been fishing there I knew the odd wave was coming over an just lost concentration for a second… all X-rays have came back clear knee is still bruised and sore as shit haha but I’m on the mend 🤙🏼🎣💪🏼✅

wow your at Mindarie. last monday 2 young bloke caught 2 snapper about 65cm @ and I caught a jurvinile snapper 3 weeks ago I put it back. And yesterday my rod slip and broke my Jarvis walker reel 😥 better luck next time
