I just want to say congratulations to Sony for keeping an open and transparent comment section on TH-cam. It's important for all of us be able to express our opinions about a product. Time and Time again, corporations are closing the comment section on their social media.

...A fantastic option for ultra-high res at a reduced price!! Also, A1 owners who don't always want to take out a $6500 US all the time would see this as a great option for city/travel/vacation photography, and the 4K video is going to be excellent! I'd rather get this than the A7cII

How long can I record 4K60 before it overheats?
Man!!! This was literally the camera I wanted😂 I was looking for a full frame lightweight Fuji x100v alternative. Ended up buying the a7rv. If this had come out earlier I would’ve def bought it just for the size.
Same thought but I'm patient enough to wait for the A7CR. This thing is packed with features. It will be the big companion to my a6700, another wonder from Sony.
Why is it soooo freakin' hard to take good selfies with the sony a7c?? Is there any remote control for this camera? Every time I put my camera on a tripod, turn off steady shot, put it on 5 second timer, it locks on to the spot that it's focused on (near) then I back away to the spot to take the shot and it's BLURRY!!!! WTF can I do???
After many years, I am happy to upgrade my gear with this baby!

Excellent and interesting!! I now own the Alpha 7C (obtained at the beginning of 2023). However, I don't feel to obtain the Alpha 7CR for replacement unless I'm sure. (laughing)

My favorite feature is the 2.36m dot viewfinder which can also be found in the 2012 Fujifilm XE1 or the rear screen having less resolution than the following XE2 in 2013. But let’s put old recycled parts into a 2023 camera and charge $2500 for it. I’m not saying those old Fuji cameras are better. I’m saying Sony needs to do better.

not good choice to lunch new camera people are waiting for a7 s 4 .. this kind of cameras you lauched like a7 m4 , a7r4 r5 a7 a1, much series you have of meghapixels ,we need new things like 6k 60 fps 8k 5o fps, 4k 240 slowmotion and more, or update you need to research first then creat next generation camera

Love the size and the range finder design and would buy it if it comes with the Full Articulating LCD screen as the A7RV. That is the miss for me.
It’s called a “4-axis” screen, and they did not implement it in this camera. The fact that it is not there makes it worth nothing to me

Why does a articulating screen ruin the camerA? I hear this a lot and I wonder why you can't use it without it...
@@arberdemiri Ruin? I don't think it does; however, it is a preference. I bought the A7R IV with side flip articulated LCD thought it would be more useful as many have mentioned; however, did not enjoy the off center orientation during most of the shoot even though it is an excellent camera. I sold it after getting the A7RV to have both options and prefer to have the exact same matching LCD orientation for my future camera(s). One less thing to adjust during shooting when switching cameras is important for me.

Is anyone using heif format? Sure, is 10 bit better than 8bit jpeg, but why not raw?
Sure.. I use it all the time (on iphone). Greater fidelity than jpeg, but essentially the same kind of handling. RAW files are much much bigger.
I don’t shoot RAW for everyday snapshots - and not especially when the dynamic range of the scene is narrow.

@@petrub27 I use lightroom mobile on apple devices; and they suport heif since 2017 (if im not mistaken)

two things as a hi-res & $3000 body
1. no matter it is one slot or not, cfe-a should be compatible. if it is not a hybrid slot, cfe-a only rather than sd only.
2. the biggest disappointment is this model share the same screen with the lower end a7c2, even the same price level a7r4 had a better screen than this. if this is a still first camera, tilt screen is much better than flip screen.

MANY OF MY COLLEAGUES AND CLIENTS HAVE SAID THAT THEY EXPERIENCE A LOT OF EYE STRAIN AFTER USING OR WATCHING VIDEOS SHOT WITH CAMERAS LIKE A7IV, A7C,etc. THEY ALSO COMPLAIN ABOUT SWOLLEN AND PUFFY EYES DUE TO THE EYE STRAIN CAUSED BY THESE CAMERAS. ANY SIMILAR EXPERIENCE? CAN SONY ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM IF IT EXISTS?

I would never buy a camera, especially at this price, without the important viewfinder. Not only, the judgment for photos with a small display is not so good, it makes also much more fun with a viewfinder.
the biggest problem about all sony camera is they dont have af when doing interval shooting, it makes it extremly hard to doing self portrait. all other brand was able to do it.

Maybe you can improve the a7S iii and the A1 with firmware updates? You know, the basic stuff for people spending thousands of dollars.
Animal eye tracking in video.
Focus breathing compensation.
Custom commands to the exposure dial.
Focus mapping (not that I care for it but there's no reason for it not to be included).
AF assist option in video to override autofocus.
Come on Sony, really starting to annoy a LOT of people.

An expensive camera like the A7CR should have dual card slots, not just one. A major engineering design flaw. Also make a A99 Mark 3 with built-in GPS. Another engineering mistake, not to make an A99M3.

Also for the price, just get an A7IV or A7RV. Why waste money on trickle down features on the A6CII and A7CR.

People have been asking for an A7cR since the original A7c release. Makes sense as it is the closest thing we’ll get right now to a Rx1R replacement. I’d prefer this over my A7RV
Sorry Sony I’ve got the A1 and as my second camera the a7c and the only think do not understand is the poor EVF of the a7c and now. This was poor two years ago and now you do not upgrade this. Shame for this inbuild EVF in a camera at 2023.

good images especially landscapes, but sony still needs to improve the skintones. All the people looks dead in the colour. not sure how to explain it. but Nikon, canon and fuji all do skintones better.
