State-of-the-art AI processing uses detailed information about human skeleton forms and poses to dramatically improve the camera’s subject recognition accuracy and make full use of its potential resolution AI subject recognition has been expanded to include a number of new subject types, including vehicles and insects. *
The α7R V is the fifth model in the α7R series, delivering even higher still image quality than its predecessors plus refined 8K movie output, unlocking unprecedented subject detail and texture. It also includes the most effective 8-step image stabilization ever offered in an α body, a new multi-angle monitor, high-speed communication functions. High-level operability and smooth workflow integration round out a camera that is ideal for professionals who need a first-class high-resolution imaging tool.
* The AI processing unit performs data-based inference, and may not accurately recogonise all specified subjects in all conditions. Subject types other than the type specified may be erroneously recognised in some cases.

First it was best auto focus in business, now we have these AI recognition systems...god Sony you guys are still the best and number 1 in innovation aspect of camera gear. Respect
What? Canon's autofocus focuses on moving humans since a long time ago...now they present this as "AI recognition" and everyone goes Wow??

I use different systems, seems like the Canon R3 is already doing that or better even without the "AI Autofocusing", the Auto-white balance improvement is pretty good i guess since it's Sony's biggest weakness but then again, Canon has already been doing that without the AI Auto White Balance.

Thank You very much Sony for this excellent groundbreaking camera. Here are a few wishes to upgrade it further:
1. In camera HDR bracket image merging up to 20 stops of dynamic range.
2. External recording up to 8K 30 and 4K 120.
3. Open gate 3:2 video recording down-sampled 4k and 8k with full sensor readout (only Panasonic cameras offer this at the moment)
4. I know it is far fetched but a variable electronic ND adapted from Sony E to Canon EF mount
5. Built In looks and film emulations
Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these! Nicely done Sony! Sony really does very well listening to the voice of the customer!

Although many people say that the Sony A7R5 has not improved much compared to the previous generation. I still think the A7R5 is the most advanced 35mm-Full-Frame mirrorless camera body that humans can make at this time. The performance of this sensor (IMX455, also be used at A7R4) may not be strong enough but the large-scale application of AI technology and excellent screen are indeed what the next generation of cameras should look like. In this year, I reckon I'll be replacing my A7C with an A7R5. Well done, Sony!
We have been using a7c for over 2 years , loved it. Looking forward to getting hands on this and capturing some amazing footages.

@@sonacphotos Damn right! On paper when comparing specs between the a7R3 and a7R4, its not that huge of a differences. I can for sure say that once i get the a7R5, I won't need to upgrade for another 5-7 years even if Sony comes out with 12-bit video or internal RAW recording for their newest cameras. With teh price tag of a7R4 starting at $3,000 us dollars now, used a7R4 will likely be $2,200 or less. Perfect time to buy them at an affordable price tag but I rather have peace of mind and just go for the a7RV.
I foresee possibility of Sony will incorporate this advanced AF system into future Sony A1ii and Sony A9iii. Good to see other camera manufacturers such Nikon, Fuji, Canon, OM to come out with better AF system as good competitions

Wow! The Ai aspect looks like something, that will truly help when taking concert pictures.
Because the target tempts to move around on the stage.
Ye lmao dont expect the AI to do a decent job in these conditions, unless we r talking about daytime concerts. They didn't show the AI working in lowlight conditions for a reason and if u add that + the extreme amount of light contrasts in a concert due to the this specific type of lighting, all that will get the AI confused af.
At least SLRs r finally doing something in the AI department nowadays.

Guys, I've been shooting with the A7S3 for 2 years now. For that I was shooting with the A7R to, a73 and A7S2 for about 5 years give or take, working each of those cameras into the flow depending on the application. I have rented the a74 and a7 R5 for extended periods of time twice now. The A7R5 is the real deal. Really do feel like the a74 is a compromise in many departments. This generation of r camera has an autofocus like no other, it really does not miss much at all if ever, and I shoot low light festival and concert photography.

The subject tracking is def a fav right now, can't begin to say how many time the focus gets interrupted because of sudden changes and those shot can be serious money shots, example a hand in the crowd bloks the subject at a prime moment.

As the A7III is still an expensive and wonderful camera you should offer us the new color-profile for JPGs also an update - PLEASE 😘

It really misses a lot of opportunities for flash photography without the 1/400s sync speed as the A1. I think it is a huge miscalculation for a high resolution camera. 😢
