My biggest point of contention for the A7cr is how it performs video and photo wise compared to the A7r IV. In any one can give advice or suggestions please let me know. I personally love the philosophy of recent compact full frame cameras. Such as Nikon Zf, Canon EOS RP (i had for over 2 years and loved it), the R8, so what the RP should have been from the beginning, the Sony ZV-1E, A7CR or A7C II depending on the needs,....
    Good times are coming for me as soon those bodies are outdated and affordable for me 2nd hand.

    I know you're joking but it's a little annoying for you to constantly refer to this (and the a7cii) as an entry level camera for beginners, like at 6:56 - this is literally a $3000 camera. A7cii is still $2200. People looking at these cameras want full frame in a compact package instead of needing to lug around a big and heavy regular sized model for the same quality. If someone wants a full frame camera for cheap they'd just get an older model like an a7iii.

      @tubularificationed ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The new A7C remind me actually much of today's Leicas. Both speak the same design language. Very handsome.
      Whereas most Fuji, or the new "retro" Nikons, or Pentax are just cameras for old men, who are nostalgically looking back to the era of their younger days, when their photographic juices were still flowing 😉
      Nothing wrong with such a marketing strategy, there's lots of money to pull from. Old men are valuable customers, because often they have more money saved, than they have remaining active / agile years left to spend that. That's why old men often buy the most expensive stuff. No surprise that Fuji and Nikon attempt to harvest that market segment.
      I like though that Leica doesn't fall for this cheesy retro opportunism. Neither does Sony.

    • @SourPlanet
      @SourPlanet ปีที่แล้ว

      cannons are red Nikon's are green Sony's are crap

    • @brightboxstudio
      @brightboxstudio ปีที่แล้ว

      “Improved color science” has nothing whatsoever to do with the display. It’s about how the scene colors are interpreted, recorded, and rendered to the image file. Accuracy is the foundation of it, but the next stage goes beyond that. Any color scientist will tell you that if you show a person the same photo with “accurate” colors versus “pleasing” colors, people pick what’s more pleasing almost every time. It’s like how choosing color film always has been: You choose the film that most closely matches how you *prefer* the colors to be rendered. Maybe a scientist needs color that is absolutely colorimetrically correct but aesthetically very dry, but the rest of us want colors that render landscapes, people, and sunsets in a way that makes us go “wow…yes”. Another way people think of better “color science” is that it takes you a lot less time to edit it to get the colors you want, because the colors look so much better right out of the camera. With bad color, you waste more time fighting with the image on your computer to make the colors look the way you want.

    • @strongereveryday2302

      208g difference is not nothing. I can tell you it is massive. I have an old a7c 509g and added a smallrig cage of 210g, then now i feel the a7c too heavy despite a top notch handle grip. You have a grip identical to a full body camera. But i loose the compactness and the small weight. Finally i removed it as i have a gimbal and don’t want to add the weight on the gimbal. It is already too heavy. I am fine with the a7c grip, small evf, small media file, smaller sensor with less noise at high iso, smaller 1080p60 and 120 no crop, 4k24 no crop. With upscaling 1080p is rendered like 4k. It is very good 1080. The result would not be far better with the latest cameras.
