I love that karl draws in all crowds. guys, girls, all ages. doesn't matter. humor truly is a great thing. I'm glad the Internet exists too, else I wouldn't know about karl.
Karl's descriptive powers are incredible. He may have no understanding of how the world works, but he's brilliant at describing his own experiences. I'm only a minute in and he's already described touching Auntie Nora's mole-y back as being like "putting your hand in a bowl of Cocoa Puffs." I'm a writer, and I'm lucky if I get one metaphor that good in a whole week's worth of writing. Karl just tosses them off like nothing.
He’s got more idea of how the real world works that Ricky and Steve with their university degrees in useless bollocks like philosophy They wouldn’t be able to unblock their own shower drain , they’d call people out to do it for them
I started out with the animated series (I'm American and didn't know from Karl Pilkington until some friends showed me the HBO shows), then went back and listened to all the hours of radio shows and podcasts, so it was like a huge treat - all the unheard material. Some of it was familiar but in a rawer form.
This 3 are just gold , how can I listen to the same things over and over for ten years plus and still find it as funny as the first time ...thankyou :)
Its wierd that Ricky didnt explode there. Dont know why they didnt include that into Ricky Gervais show, its so easy to picture a cartoony bomb going of with manhole cover flying into space, and a milions of people watching it trough the telly being completly surprised.
@John Smith Yeah, he was. There was one episode when he mentioned that in the olden days when they had freak shows, they would get a bear drunk and shave it and advertise it to customers as a pig face lady. Not long after I was watching an episode of QI and they were talking about that exact same thing, and if Stephen Fry says it it must be true.
The 3 just complement each other so well. This is one I have not listened to this one I am on A at the moment and already laughing, they never fail in making me laugh no matter what mood I am in.
I think Karl pilkington has been my therapy to endure the shit that happens in the world since 2010! Have been listening for ten years now and still hasn’t gotten old
Mosaab that’s awesome still better late then never. Also you will find so many neat gems that you haven’t heard yet when the rest of us have prob heard all podcast many times over :-)
😂😂😂 How have I never heard this clip before. I've been listening to these 3 for over 10 years. Countless times........ but I have never heard the manhole cover story. PMSL 🤣🤣🤣
The monkey spa is actually so scary the fact Karl thinks that a monkey filled out a will and didn't leave it to his monkey wife because she isn't blood is one of the most INSANE things I've ever heard someone say
Some days it all just becomes way too much to handle, and actually I look forward to laying in bed and listening to this after my wife goes to sleep … it’s meditative Relaxing even in the morning when I wake up in my ear buds fall out I put them back in and listen to the rest ha ha
Great compilation. This is such a little thing but if you make something this big again please keep the text during the whole segment. Again, great work
Does anyone know what Steve says at 1:57:04 ? It’s been bugging me for several years now & I still cannot seem to make it out! Is it in another language? Any insight would be so appreciated… Thanks very much… and Happy sleeping! 💤😴🐑💕
@@CallumBradbury omg thank you SO MUCH!!! Listening to it back I feel silly for not being able to decipher what he said. 😂 I really appreciate you taking the time to reply, and finally putting an end to my nagging curiosity! ☺️👍🏻
I love listening to these while falling asleep but i find myself having to pause it because rickys laugh is sometimes too loud and karls voice is sometimes not loud enough. but beggers can't be choosers, thanks for the comp!
Oh man Ive never heard the part about the freeze pop when Karl said life didnt flash before his eyes he was "just calm, like 'yes, I'm ready for this now'"!! He was like 11 and ready for the sweet embrace lol
What I love about these huge 4+ hours long compilations is saving them offline (TH-cam Red, well worth a few bucks a month) and just dropping into them randomly.
I joined a similar Christian thing but didn't realise until a few months in. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I would turn up and play games, we had a few field trips, exploring nature etc. Then slowly each week they started including church visits, it changed from hanging out with your friends to 70% of the time in a church or being told religious stories. Looking back it wasn't dissimilar to being groomed by a cult, they trick you into it. I kept asking my parents questions regarding religion, basically what I was being told didn't make sense, and I stopped going soon after.
Hilarious how Karl gets made fun of on a daily basis but once Karl mentions how wierd Steven its Steven whose the one who can't handle the banter and goes into a fit.

I've listened to it so much and I'm still hearing new ones haha
Just do what I done with the sopranos. Wait 5 years, it's fresh again.

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back innn

I use this to fall asleep to. But Ricky laughing wakes me.
Same!
Or Karl's audio being too low wakes me.
Right?!
yeah its annoying wish someone would make a version where they lower the audio volume when he laughs

Steve is more witty than he gets credit for
Harry Scorah “he never forgets rick” when discussing the elephant man was gold
He makes ricky lol
But ricky finds karl just bring karl.. funny
He's a good buffer between Karl and Ricky because so often he will be the one that shuts Ricky up so that Karl can complete a story.
He is now and shall always be my celebrity crush. Got to see him in NY when he performed. Stellar.
@K S It coulda been his brother...

I cant help but have to correct you. its Cocopops. its cereal we have in the UK :)
Does anyone know why steven didnt want to talk about the split tennis ball????
it's basically Karl saw Auntie Nora's vagina, because she didn't wear panties one day or something and he said it looked like a split tennis ball
Karl's mums cryptic clues for Rockbusters had me in absolute stitches.
It was a dark time-
"Well it was for me cos I worked nights"
The best intro of all time surely ?
