- A Kill Team of Necrons has been detected in the catacombs built by the Sisters and the alert has been raised of possible Xeno threats in the vicinity. Claudio answered the call and with his detachment intercepted the Necrons on the battlefield. On his orders, the army began preparing for battle, but the Necrons attacked ahead of schedule.

Guard VS ENYONE, is a classic match ;)
Remember that when you charge succesfully you can do a consolidation move of up to 3" :) so in theory all the skorpekh destroyers could have hit the guardsmen

@@TabletopWarbands What is done is done and it was a great battlereport and I might be wrong but it looks like with 3" of Pile-In you could get 2 at base contact and the last one within ½"
(A model can fight if it is within ½" of another model from their own unit that is within ½" of an enemy unit.)

That must have been frustrating for necrons... I think the table setup is clearly in advantage for shooting. Leman russ literally didn't move at all just stayed and shoot. The same for cannons. I would put some terrain blocking line of sight in the middle of table to at least force some movement on those that don't have indirect fire :)

Yes the table was a good advantage for Astra, but in battles sometimes it happens :D I can assure you that the Necrons suffered pain 😂

Just wanted to also mention that in English, the first part of the word "sergeant" is pronounced like "sar", not "ser". And that if you feel like you want to throw a few Italian words/phrases in here or there during a video, I think that would be cool too. :D

Did you use modified rules?
Because Nephrekh dynasty doesn't allow for shooting after translocation and the ressurection orb automatically ressurects all models.
Either way, it is great to see such easy to follow and enjoyable Combat Patrol videos. Thank you for making them.
The shooting after the translocation was a mistake, I forgot that the rule said "after a unit translocates, models can't shoot until the end of the turn", so sorry about that!
The resurrection orb technically says that it activates the resurrection protocols, meaning that I still have to roll dice for every dead model in the unit.

The orb allows you to activate the reanimation protocols, so you have to roll to see how many units will revive, there's an orb relic that allows you to reanimate with +1
Me thinks simone's dice might be a little bit weighted, with the nonstop 6s he rolled 🤔😂 as for recommendations for necron units, maybe some fast units that have good movement speed and can get scary in bunches (canoptek scarabs, wraiths)?

Put 3 Heavy Destroyers with a technomancer in your list. They'll survive and wipe out that tank, no problem. You could also choose Mephrit dynasty for extra armour penetration

happy to see this terrain back, loved it from back of the first killteam batreps, just in general the green terrain be nice, would love to see like ork tents back again some day as well ^^
also damm that tak is really strong, so many shots and 3 dmg each 😅 and than peeps say the tau is to shooty xD

We like that terrain a lot too! Once we start again 3D printing (we had to stop for a while) we will bring much more variety in terrain ☺️ for the Orks tents we will surely bring them back 😄

I actually forgot about that relic, thx for reminding me of its existance! I'm not sure it would've changed a lot since the real problem in this match was the Leman Russ, but it certainly would've saved me a lot of troubles.
@@TabletopWarbands Maybe teleporting the skorpekh destroyer into charge range of the Leman Russ?
I kind of thought not using it was a conscious decision. It can be pretty devastating in smaller point games. Good for a win but maybe not the most interesting small game to watch.
I've got good mileage as NOVOKH using a 20 Warrior unit. Veil of Darkness teleport them into position, shoot, charge and use the stratagem Blood Rites to really dish out the pain. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right but it was ruled as fine in our local games?
Oh wow that's a interesting move XD a lot of buffs, with that charge comes a really powerful punch. Yeah I think it works!
@@TabletopWarbands Warriors were considered weak in our group, now not so much. Something like comparable to shooting with 20 intercessors then charging with 20 assault intercessors. A royal warden helps them pull back, shoot and then charge again each turn! But I've not seen anyone else do it. I wonder if perhaps I'd gotten the rules wrong or something.
Can only do it for a few more months though then 10th is out anyway and then it's all change. :D

We still have to decide about that because 10th edition is not really optimized for 500 points but with 1000 points we should expand a lot of our armies and that takes money and time. We will see, for sure we will start playing 1000 point games when we can
