Every time I take my Yz125 to the track everyone that owns a 4 stroke loves it and once they ride it they wanna sell their race bike and get one. They are so fun and the sound is just beautiful. Love the 125s

But they don't sell their four stroke. They would rather just yap and hoot how much fun 125s are but stay part of the problem on their not fun four strokes

You’re saying rebound is too fast and to turn it in. Would that be going clock wise or counter clock wise?

Rebuilding two of 90s YZ125's. One will have a 250 4 stroke china cb250t swap, and one will be the stock 2 stroke bored to 144cc. Should be fun comparison

Hey Ping, which specific ETS fuel are you using?

There’s no way that jetting is stock. The stock pilot is a 75 which is so rich that the air screw has no effect on the pilot circuit. The stock main is also too lean. I think he forgot they jetted that bike at some point and is calling it stock. The stock suspension is good but still soft as well.

They have put a leaner needle in it.These are awful 1/4 throttle up.The leaner needle, richer main x2 and leaner x4 on pilot.
These are really sensitive to elevation.I’d love to see a 36mm carby on this bike.
      Very,very good bike.

I got a 22. Im down to a 52 pilot to keep it from loading up when riding trails, 55 for mx. 3rd clip on the stock needle, 172 main for trails, 175 for hardpack track, 178 for sand.

@@Jake-rp9cv I have a 23. I’m running a 65 pilot, the leaner oem needle 2nd clip, 180 main, 1.25 air screw. I race it in the desert so I need that richer main jet for the sustained WOT.

@@russellgarcia8024 I ride a lot of sand and my piston wash comes out very nice with the 175. Im at about 600ft of elevation and ride from 50*F-80*F. But I have been going up to a 178 just to stay on the safe side. 65 pilot sounds crazy though.

@@Jake-rp9cv What mix and ratio are you using? I ride a lot of sand as well but I’m at 4,500ft dry desert air. I was running the 175 main but my piston wash was showing lean. The 180 has a better piston wash. I put a 55 pilot and it lean bogs so just went back to the 65. I bet a 60 would be best I just haven’t bought one. I have a JD kit for it that I tried but my setup is better. When I raced at sea level I installed a 190 for a 2 hour sand race and it was perfect.

Get an Apex Head SX/XC for the engine spec’d for 110 octane. You won’t regret it!

So, as a 225lb newbie, why do you think this bike is no good for someone heavier than you? Is it because of suspension or engine torque?
