Coty Schock rips his Yamaha YZ125 two-stroke around the ClubMX Training Facility in South Carolina. Coty has been building this bike in between races over the last few weeks, and he spent the day on Tuesday before the Salt Lake City Supercross finale riding it and filming with us. This was a clean and straightforward build. This 2024 Yamaha YZ125 has an FMF pipe and silencer, Boyesen Rad valve, Phathead head, Dubya wheels, Luxon triple clamps, KYB suspension (with a YZ250F front end) and more.
Coty Schock lost his ride during the offseason last year and at the last minute, was picked up by the FXR/Muc-Off/ClubMX Yamaha team for Supercross in the 250 East division. His season was nothing short of impressive. He finished fourth at the opener, won a Heat race at Birmingham, then broke his collarbone after being taken out in the Main Event that night, got it plated Monday morning, and raced the next Saturday to stay in the points. He entered the 2024 Salt Lake City Supercross finale tied for third in points and secured it, giving ClubMX a podium finish in the 250SX East Coast Championship.

When I was a kid, all there was is 2 strokes in motocross and supercross. 4 strokes weren’t even being talked about in races until like my 5th year going to supercross

@@regenbassford he didn’t race outdoors last two years due to injuries and some other things. But in 2021 he went 14th overall in 450s as a privateer. He’s always excelled in outdoors when he’s healthy.
Saw coty at the kawaski race of champions some years back. He took every one to school that day .KRAZY FAST.

Been a fan of CS since his youth. Great young man. Fantastic rider.. Love the bike my friend. Vet 60 and I rode a YZ144 and absolutely love it. Contracts on your year. You earned it All 💪 Onward! ✌️🙋♂️

0:34 you stand up to measure sag. Also do the 23 24 450 and 250f fenders work on 2 stroke frame or are they custom made

Very cool, very slow though. Like not Coty he is riding that thing as fast as it will go but it’s just sad how left in the dust the 125s have become. Great choice for a kid transition to a full size bike though so they definitely have their place still and it’s important that the manufacturers still make them. Bike looks and sounds awesome though!
