are you able to make changes on the fly or do you have to restart the game after every change in the mod loader?
Not sure if you can help, but i got all the mods checked and started up the game. It gets to the Sega screen, sometimes the start screen, and then just freezes. Any tips?

The installer is not in the download and if i try to open the modloader it says that it can't get installation status any help?
The web version automatically (i think) Moves it self directly to SADX'S File folder So you dont have to do it manually

@KioCosy True. Only downside is that it doesn’t update regularly
Even that could be benifitial if the new update was buggy, so it didn't auto update on ya and screw your save. Thanks for the comment dude!

Is there a way to turn off the new models without having to reinstall the entire mod manager? I don't see a toggleable setting.
Hi, I followed the tutorial in this video to the letter and I still can't launch the game with mods through Steam itself. When I click "Save & Play" in the Mod Manager, it loads all my mods just fine. But when I do what you did in the video (click "Save" in the Mod Manager and then click "Play" in Steam), it loads vanilla SADX. Is there something specific I need to configure in my options in Steam, or is there something else I'm missing?
No need to reply now, I figured it out. I hadn’t installed BetterSADX yet on my PC. Doing that fixed everything, and I’ve had mods up and running through Steam for a while now.

I did this but when i installed sonic-shadow-metal mod or whatever and it didn’t work when I would try to go to the character selection it would slowly load it then crash

hey dude im trying to get a mod and i cant see the folder have a idea on how to find it? never mind i found it in the sadx folder
Great now my input is ruined. No matter HOW MANY times I configure the input, it doesn’t work. I use WASD to play games so I tried putting that after I installed the mod loader but no matter what I try, it doesn’t work. It keeps setting the movement to arrow keys or the number pad. How do I fix this?

I keep getting the "D3DERR_INVALIDCALL" no matter if i do the betterSADX or the one you used. Even if i disable EVERY mod it still says it and i cant find anyone else with the issue?
mine is sadA MESSAGE APPEARS THAT SAYS: it looks like there are files missing. I do not know what else to do.
when i installed the sadx set up .exe thingy and it said steam/common/sonic adventure dx, it wont let me click on next, what do i do?
Is there an option to use current folder instead of next? Seems you're already at the right bit so there will be no "next" to go to. But there should be an option (if this is during the install or extract of the mods manager) to select current folder when browsing for the correct folder. Just make sure it's the same install location as your original game. If this didn't help, post a private video showing me ur issue and I'll get back to u ASAP!!

strange thing is, when I download the mod installer it acts like its a virus. i know its a false positive, but just worried
i have a problem with the mod loader. basically i tried extracting the files to the sadx files and the mod loader setup was there but when i clicked on it it went away and i tried going back to delete the other files that were in the extracting process and then i tried extracting it again to the files it didn't show the setup tho then i noticed webroot said it was a virus and i got so confused i was like really? if anyone knows how to fix the situation tell me

@the chao garden you can download the game but you have to have the common file to load mods
What do you mean? The only thing required is the base game from stream, or even emulated, and the mod manager.

When i open the file, windows says me: the file is dangerous. Is secure de mod manager or has a malware?.

Windows detects whenever some file or trainer changes program files of a game or a app which is what happened it’s not malware basically it’s just windows defender seeing changes of a file

I’ve done everything however I open sonic adventure and the game is fine but none of the mods are loaded:(
Would defo make sure your mods and stuff are in the right folder.. Especially if it's let you load all the mods. Normally it tells you there's a DLL error rather than mods just not loading if it is in the correct folder and needs repaired, so I'd check they're in the right directory. Do the usual uninstall of the mod loader, repair on steam, redownload double check where everything is getting extracted to, and give it another go hopefully see some results

so, is it supposed to never work when I try to launch it in steam? I have to literally go to the files to play it for some reason and for some reason when I play the game the damn camera keeps spinning so it's either the mod manager is shit or my controller is shit my friend ripped the damn tube around the wires on the controller so that could be why I'm kinda pissed and wondering how the fuck he did that

Eh I guess you can? You aren't editing your save persay, you're just editing the files that sonic boots from. If it goes wrong, an uninstall and reinstall of the game and mod manager would fix any issues so don't sweat it too mate

So if i want to play the game vanilla do i just make sure all boxes are unchecked?
Yeah, in theory, but if youve made adjustments to things like chao or overall ring count, turning the mods off wont remove any moded progress if you get what i mean
@@NaeEstus ok so like infinite rings where it's stuck at 99 rings I think when I turn it off and go back I will still have those rings correct I'm not worried about the Chao stuff

Hey dude, it's not a bother! I don't think so though. I can't confirm as I don't download cracked/torrented files on my pc, but if your install of the game has the same directory and file paths as the steam install, there should be no problem. That being said, cracked software always has some technical issues with them, so you might not be so lucky. Give it a try, instead of using the steam directory shown in the video, use the directory of wherever your SADX install is, and see if it works! Best of luck dude

Isnt downloading cracked files of a game, or "free" games that should cost money, illegal? It is, and its called piracy. Its dumb that you download games that should cost money for free, and your ripping the company off.
Just buy the game, instead of downloading it from shady websites. Its only $8 on steam.
