The combination of mixed signals, blurred lines and a crackpot of emotions/feelings that were hard to pin down convinced me it was for the best that we remain platonic. People that confess their emotions got my respect because it definitely isn't the easiest thing to do.
If it was a ton of mixed signals then it's probably likely that even if you did get together it might not have been super great or lasted long. Ngl I went through a rejection when I was in HS, she publicly humiliated me infornt of her friends and everyone she was in class with and this guy (who got 8 different girls pregnant before the 11th grade) I got bullied for it and it destroyed me till I got out of HS. I ended up going to the YMCA working out shed 40lbs toned up, got my passport and left. This same girl slid in my inbox on FB 2ys ago when I posted some pictures of my time overseas. She apoligized and wanted to give me a chance 4 kids 3 baby daddies deep. I told her the same thing she told me "why would I date a ugly phat hungry fking hippo like you?" She got Hella upset. From a mutual friend she told me she posted a few videos crying on FB and her friends false reported my FB page till I got banned.
I learned the best way to go about crushes is to be open and get an answer, then move on. In the past I let things linger and it held me back, when I started being more confident and up front things got a lot better because I could move on and focus on other things. In the end I never would have met my girlfriend of 8 months now if I was still hanging onto some crush from college.

@@Altairego Shoulda just asked her out. The best way to do it is look for some place and event then ask her wanna go with me "there" "tomorrow" "at xx pm" for example. Then if she says yes you give her number and ask for yours so you can meet up whenever you planned. If you choose good location you can do whatever from there and it pretty much never fails. Like even if girl don't like you at first if location is to her liking you can be cool impress her and she gonna get to like you. Women pretty easy to impress.

I had a crush on my best friend for 15 years (since elementary) . He was crushing on me as well. His relatives referred to me as his girlfriend, but we never went there. I do think I regretted that, so it is pretty dope that they confessed their crushes. He was my only real crush. Everyone else that I liked, I either pursued or allowed them to pursue me. So, I did learn my lesson.
I have a similar story, met at elementary school and her parents basically treated me as her boyfriend. True story: In 2013, the day before my birthday, I had a really rough day at work and all I wanted to do was relax in my room and read a book. My roommate and a mutal friend of ours invited a girl over to hangout and she was annoying AF. When she found out my birthday was the next day she kept cracking my room door open and whispering the happy birthday song. I told my roommate I wanted her out. They ended up going out to a bar that night. Over the next couple of weeks she ended up coming over our place more and more and we ended up getting to know each other. About a 2 months or so later, mine and my roommates friends, including her, went out bar hopping and I told her I had a "slight" crush on her. This year we will have been married for 7 years 😀

It sucks to be rejected, but it's a lot better to do that and get over something that's not going to happen than riding that friend zone. I had a crush on my best friend for 15 years (since elementary) . He was crushing on me as well. His relatives referred to me as his girlfriend, but we never went there. I do think I regretted that, so it is pretty dope that they confessed their crushes. He was my only real crush. Everyone else that I liked, I either pursued or allowed them to pursue me. So, I did learn my lesson.
I have a similar story, met at elementary school and her parents basically treated me as her boyfriend. True story: In 2013, the day before my birthday, I had a really rough day at work and all I wanted to do was relax in my room and read a book. My roommate and a mutal friend of ours invited a girl over to hangout and she was annoying AF. When she found out my birthday was the next day she kept cracking my room door open and whispering the happy birthday song. I told my roommate I wanted her out. They ended up going out to a bar that night. Over the next couple of weeks she ended up coming over our place more and more and we ended up getting to know each other. About a 2 months or so later, mine and my roommates friends, including her, went out bar hopping and I told her I had a "slight" crush on her. This year we will have been married for 7 years 😀

I am now happily married to my wonderful and beautiful wife, we bought a house together, and will be starting a family soon. Fellas, shoot your shots! Good that you're still friends. My close friend was telling me she loved me all of a sudden. I asked what she meant when she says it and that I have feelings. She said she meant it as a friend. Now she doesn't reply to texts that she would have before. So if you like the friendship a lot don't say anything. So if they say no they might also ghost your ass and you lose a friend.

All my crushes rejected me, it hurt not gonna lie cause even though they rejected me i did manage to have girlfriends. But you guys know how that is being young and selfish it wasnt the person you wanted to be with so it only lasted for a while. After i came to terms with myself i began to like people for who they are instead of what they look like.
