I'm still confused by the idea to use more "earth" friendly and "organic" products when they are produced in tens of thousands (possibly millions or more) of small plastic bottles that are not recyclable. How is this earth friendly or organic?

Not all types and it depends on where you live. You're lucky that the county picks it up. I have to drive mine to a center. Plus, just because there is curbside pick up does not guarantee that everyone recycles. Lastly, the amount of petroleum that is needed to produce plastic is an additional pollutant. Gwyneth is making a fortune at the cost of the environment. Half of the crap she sells is not needed, but because she is who she is, women THINK that it is needed to look more like her.
