I've used it for some time now for the diesel in our vehicles.. Covered most of my paint booth costs!

Why do you think he needed both knees replaced. Scaling walls and jumping from roof to roof really takes a toll over the years.
Strange you can’t use off road diesel hauling your own grain. Over here in Pennsylvania,New York and Jersey if you have Farmer tags on your trucks (pickups included) you can use off road diesel. Also the registration fee is half price and insurance is cheaper as well.

I was watching some tornado vids from May this year when my TH-cam feed brought me to one of your vids about farmers helping farmers. You were in Illinois interviewing a farmer that had his farm wiped out by a tornado. Anyway, I’m a city boy, 27 year career retired firefighter fascinated by machinery and now farming. I just subscribed and thanks for sharing your part of the world.

Had to use our sump savers on 2 bins this year. We've got one in every bin, almost never use them, but conditions were just right over this last winter that we got some moisture in the middle and the well was completely clogged. Those things are worth every penny.
Drill a 1/4 hole in with a drill bit then in the hole saw replace the bit with a 1/4 pc of round rod won’t break like a drill bit we use that trick for drilling a hole in well casing to install the pitless adapter

Diesel owners tend to make a mess of the diesel pumps. It’s 100 times harder to clean the diesel pumps compared to the gas pumps. It also makes the concrete slimy and sticky which adheres to your shoes which tracks it all over.
Gas /petrol will naturally evaporate. There, for it, leaves no trace

Brings a tear to my eye to see someone else struggle loading beans. They are the annual pain in the neck . We began making cages or teepees that sit over the sump to make the sump allow only small chunks of pods , beans to enter auger. Works like your hydraulic machine. We amkke them out of R-rod and are approx. 2 feet tall .Clogs slide down the sides and break up and fall into sump. Saved us a lot of trouble
Kudos to your dad for putting up with all the filming. Love watching your channel. There is nothing better than winding down at the end of the day watching the actor who plays the millennial farmer.
I know those sump savers aren't cheap but wow they're nice when you have one. Maybe the new rule is "no soybeans in a bin without a sump saver" if you tend to not have problems with corn and only beans?

Circulate your bins constantly. We do that with canola to eliminate hot spots. Never leave grain all winter without being moved

Did you know that the chuck settings on your drill are basically made for holesaws. You turn it down to like 4 and when the pilot goes through it catches then you adjust to drill mode.

Did you know there is a hook on your fuel door on your truck to hang your fuel cap on? go to the 2:12 mark in the video, look to the bottom right of the white sticker on the fuel door and there it is... its handy once you realize its there. My F250 has it and I now use it every time.
Try putting a road bin over where you load your trucks so you can fill the bin anytime and save you time and long load time
Great video I drove a truck for 30 some years cross country and always enjoyed when I went to Iowa, Minnesota Arkansas states we see a lot of farmers out starting off burning the fields and then plowing growing. Definitely not a job. I would think I could do. I know it’s from up to sundown sometime and longer But it’s good to see that there are still some family Farms out there. That was the one thing I would always get depressed is each year you’d start seeing different farms being sold off to be subdivisions and that was so sad. I enjoy watching your videos I’ve always enjoyed watching farmers farm things, keep up the great work

Hi Zack and family, Robert Lomen here from Southern Iowa, heading up your way Sat. For my annual fishing trip. This is the 22nd year now at same resort. The resort name is Holiday Resort, Lake Osakis. I think 15-20 miles from you. I do fairly well, ( should after the time I put in there). Walleyes average 3 -4 lbs. and some nice crappies and gills. Oh, I've lost some biggies but won't get into that. Big winds make big waves and shuts down the boating and fishing. I've set at the cabin 3-4 days waiting for to the wind to stop 🛑 . Like you with rain problems, just got to be patient, nothing Else you can do. I ride Harley and like collecting shirts so will make effort to get to Alexandria to get one. I'm surprised you don't have any old John Deere A's or B's around. I grew up around those putters at my Uncle's farm. Times sure changed from then to now. We were constantly bailing all summer to feed cattle, as he hand milked 40 head of holstines twice a day. Later after my stint in the Army I woked for another farmer,still bailing hay but we would blow it up the Harvistors. , Totally different than Uncles operation, we milked 60 head Gurnseys, gutter sweeps,all pipeline milking, nice operation indeed. Sure miss it though. Now, I'm south of Iowa City, retired from heavy equipment operator,biding my time until June, (fishing time). Well, Zack, love your videos, watching you work with your Son, wife,and Dad. Love the racing vids also.😅. Maybe I'll run into you up there sometime.😅😅. I would need a autograph from all of you! I was surprised he didn’t take that piece of metal to Midwest machinery and have them bind it for him. Then spend 5 minutes trying to justify it instead of just saying I don’t want to do and that gives me a reason to drive around town in my new shiny red pickup.
That sump saver sure looks like a heck of a deal Zach that you got in that one been it seems like it breaks up all the pods and the trash that's over the sump so like you say you'll be getting more for the other bins

@banjobenson9348 yup! High Sulphur fuels don't play nice with pickups. Maybe a separate tank for Zachs truck would be best
The semis don’t run dyed fuel they must have 2 separate tanks for on and off road
With my hole saw i stopped usen the drill bit thing , I put a solid hard 1.4 inch rod for the pilot and take a reg 1/4 inch drill bit and drill the hole then use the hole saw . i have not broke a rod yet.
Haul it to elevator and let them deal with it...The price has went nothing but down since last harvest.....I know, I know..Big operations and price usually rallys... I store mine at local elevators and havent put grain in a bin for years. =====less headaches..

Maybe you've tried it. But I always had good luck shoving and air hose up the pipe when it plugs. Compressed air will bust through anything.
Pryor Tools premium sewer rods is what we use for bin hangs.

Something is bending the flytes on the elevator. I would think you would identify that before a chain is broken.
You always make loading a truck, look so fast. Who knew it took that long.
Check the oil in the skid now
