Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

That guy picking up the drive tire on the semi to put it in your truck bed by himself was impressive.
My neighbor actually made a real cane holder for his tractor. He is 94, and lost his balance, but still using his little tractor around the property. Needs the cane to walk safely on uneven ground. Changing from the bush hog to the tiller is a multi day project for him. But God bless that he still does it. I want him to live forever.
I always had a nice cane holder on my 4 wheeler. Mr marlin sit there.
God bless your old man.
@@giles-df9yu Old Marlin can't be beat. My neighbor walks with an actual cane. Moses signed his yearbook.
I need someone else to I guess you are the homosexual? Those too period you know me?I don't get amazed name is mucker james
Looks like someone hit the bottle a little too hard before commenting last night!@@michaeljames1665
8:46 I was waiting for Becky to chime in , that's what she said, when Zack said" I'm an inch short"
That's ok it seems TH-cam has him sorted out as the last 2 video they have had an ad for an "Asian Spice" that keeps your tool firm and something about a raging bull.
All I know is it has messed up the borescope as it won't bend any more and I got a massive bill from a china shop.
A "that's what she said" opportunity totally missed by Jim 🤣
"The actor who plays the Millenial Farmer"...Love It !!!
Is a wheel job like a rim job?
@@thomasleonard1846 No, it's what Elmer Fudd tells George Thorogood to get, along with a haircut.
Zack, you need a tire takeroffer putteroner thingy.
Ah, you mean an apprentice, Onyx is getting there it's just truck wheels are still a bit too heavy for the young lad just now 😉.
Zach, use a 4 or 5 ft pry bar, a crow bar whatever under the center of the wheel to lift the tire on and off the studs. Makes that chore a whole lot easier. Cheers 🇨🇦
Yes, using a couple of pry bars will definitely save you a back strain lifting those heavy old truck wheels 🛞.
A wheel dolly is like $100. A broken back costs a lot more.
A shovel works remarkably well, swivel the bottom of the wheel out with your foot on the handle while holding the top of the wheel
I use a shovel. Works great.
Thank you!! lol I was gonna say the same thing. Use a bar makes the job easier and faster! Also do not put anti seize on the wheel studs!
That cane holder is perfect for my 6.5 grendel coyote control cane that keeps getting beat up in my tractor cab.
My neighbor uses a real cane to help on uneven ground. He's 94 and still running tractor. I want to be like him.
Randy’s going to love his new custom holder 😂
3d printer segment was awesome! 😂
your one of the reasons i want to become a farmer so i thank you for that and also keep up the great content
Nice to have Jim back :) :) I just get a sense that he's a really good man.
He is!
Awesome looking tender trailer !!!
@MillennialFarmer what's the white Volvo for is it a new semi?
I'm glad you took all of the snow plow stuff off of the tractor lol
😂🤣😂
I really enjoy your channel Zack and the comical aspect you bring to it is much appreciated 👍
They do make a tool to help take truck tires off and on. They work awesome for lining up the lug holes.
I always found that a 4 foot bar, was a back saver.
@@carlthor91 Yes I know that’s all you need is the bar I just use a crowbar, just stick it under the tire, kind of rotated a little bit and you’re on there but I am doing this on gravel not a nice shop😂
A pallet jack works very well
@@scotts7427 Yep, Just where I did it.
@@carlthor91 Yes my tractor hopper bottom is in a cold storage building on gravel, but it’s inside at least just plug it in when it’s cold, and crawl around greasing it on cardboard 😂
Definitely thought we would have been left without this brilliant show with brilliant actors after the actors strike but they found some that were happy enough to keep the great Farm alive
-Hope the rest of spring and then harvest goes well for you guys
My 2014 Polaris Sportsman 400 ho ATV just turned over to 26,000 miles on it and I doing all my work on it, from oil and filter change every month and new tires and CV Joints and Shocks and rebuild clutches main and second dairy clutch
Not gonna lie, hearing $20 in merchandise would get me a free calendar finally convinced me to just buy a shirt. Been watching your vids since Jim got stuck, even. Sorry it took so long, lol 😎
Better late than never, the clothing is actually quite warm, soft & of a very good quality 👌.
Nice to see a little behind the scenes of the show. Good to see the camera crew get acknowledged for once.
Hi Zack, the wheels came out spectacular. The new Polaris stuff looks beyond cool and very rugged. Lastly, "cane holder" totally new one for me and I love it. LOL Cheers
Boy I bet he wished he had asked your opinion first. A man takes pride in his equipment and I agree with him did the same also with my RV.
trucker friend said he uses a shovel under the tire to lift it back in place. Tried it on my little truck and sure helps the old back. great video, glad to see Jim back, say hi fro BC Canada.
Finally the Polaris Ranger roof fix we have been waiting on for years!
Zack you need to get a tire cart. It wheels around and you can lift tire on and off. Pretty handy. Thanks for the video
Its so awesome that everything we own now is connected to the internet and everyone can know right where everything is. That would never be used in a negative way.
Nice to see Jim in your video Zach
A mild winter usually is followed by a long wet spring
Zack, Cateye, tire equalization valves will eliminate tire cupping on your drive tires and the trailer tires. You can get them at Nelson International, willmar or Fargo. You will save tire wear. Your inner tires run at a greater pressure, because of brake heat. The valves are designed to equalize the pressure between the inner tire and the outer tires.
You need to get a tire dolly,150.00 at northern used my for 30 years works great and saves the back also throw the torque wrench start using torque rods, used one for 30 years also work great
This man spends a lot of time moving shit around 😂
And getting it seems like nothing done but he does!
Isn't that about 90% of farming?
@karlrovey yes. I farm a little myself, and at the end of the day, it feels like you got nothing accomplished lol
@dustinb9105 Or you're starting terraces, get the top and bottom of two terraces tilled or planted and you realize you've been in the tractor for over an hour.
It drives me nuts!
great video Zach. thank you
Diesel mechanic here! When taking off a tire use a long pry bar on the the bottom of tire and just wiggle bar up and pull tire back but very little movements till it’s free of the pilot spots on the hub.
Need to get one of those Gojaks. Its exactly what they were using to move the polairs machines around (its the pink dolly looking thing). They work excellent for removing and installing heavy tires. Got one for my 3/4 ton trucka and its liffe saver.
That’s a super nice cane holder Zach
Might be a strange question. Do you have a radio station over there that talks about farming stuffs? Curious as even though I dont have farm here in Scotland. I am enjoying watching these and would like to listen or even watch more about farming etc.
What is truly amazing is how every day you hide this production team and make it look like you and Becky make these videos yourselves. I had no idea!
wow this snow storm seems to have hit everywhere in the prairies and midwest, we farm in south west saskatchewan in canada and this snow hit us a couple days after you guys, though we didnt get quite as much as you guys either. and luckily for us its currently 60ish degrees so its melting super quick
Great video Zach
Great job keep up the great work love your videos thank you
Thanks!
Zack, you’re making me look bad with amount of effort you go through to keep your wheels shiny. I can hardly be bothered to do my car!
No dirty wheels less dot inspection on the road
When I drove otr the company would not get the wheels polished but I would clean them with simple green and you know that work pretty damn good
I waited 10-15 years too long, so I had some catching up to do!
Truly the biggest clumsiest jack I’ve ever seen
Has your planter come yet
He said a new tractor & planter would be arriving in the next day or two, but with potentially 3ft of snow ❄️ coming that may well be pushed back a day or two?
Love this channel
Great video
I don't blame ya, its getting where I think about deleting all my social media, we are witnessing the last days I think. Enjoyed the Allis content you did and I liked your dads commentary.
Your attention to safety and precautions is so great!
I bought a Milwaukee 1 inch battery powered impact. Never have to worry about the hose again. It's amazing
It takes off heavy truck lugs? If so, you might have talked me into one.
Nice things take time 😊
Great video!
Keep up the great zack
Sick! There is dave sparks 6 wheeler! That dude turns out some radical machines! They made a video of them building that machine his guys are some smart dudes! Far as i know that is still currently the only one like it until Polaris starts building them if im not mistaken heavy D gave the entire rundown on it its a must see. Zach this was a great video man thats really cool u get to do some filming with these guys
Use a square point shovel on truck wheels. Center the wheel to the hub, lean tire toward the truck, slide shovel 3 or 4 inches under the tire then you can lift the tire a half inch or inch up onto the studs. Just trying to help you young millennials 😊
A adjustable car dolly would work perfect for removing and installing the semi tires
Great video Zach /Becky. Looks like the dogs were enjoying the snow anyway.
Now the wheels are polished it will be easier to keep them shiny. Good job for the kids . Great to see Jim. So neat to go to the Polaris factory and see the latest updates to the side by sides
Thanks
George Thorogood reference, the best yet!
Had to scroll to see if anyone else got it.
I was wondering if anyone else caught it, too.
@@stevehulett586 Also with the functionality of the cane holder bracket .
Thanks Zach! I love Polaris. Looking forward to seeing the new planter/new to you tractor.
The truck looks great with the polish update!!
great job
I absolutely love this channel ❤ I watch 6 different TH-cam vlogs and millennial farmer is hands down the best. I could literally watch you guys 12 hours straight. Thank you 💯 🙏
Fun Fact... A round point shovel is super handy for removing and installing truck and trailer wheels and tires. Use it for leverage when taking on and off the hubs. Makes life easier when doing it by yourself!
You know, your the best farming TH-camr in my opinion because you have a sense a humor that is quiet but also very funny! You also are not a multi crew farmer! It’s just you and your employee which is not much! I hope you make it to 2 mill soon! Live from Kent county Maryland helping out another farmer in need!❤
Hi Zak another great video give us an update on the planter and New tractor keep the videos coming
Harbour Freight Special sockets, Nice!
[04:35] Try turning your back to the wheel, hands behind your back, grab the centre and try giggling it out, it also affords one more grip getting over that small cap hub. :)
Great vlog Zach! Get you a shovel that comes to a point on the end or a spud bar under those tires when taking off or putting on the truck, definitely a back saver, and helps line up those lug holes as well.
Beautiful wheels.
Great timing of big snow just before planting…… free moisture for the seeds.
Good job Zack
Nice Jack. Those used to be made two blocks from my house
Those wheels 🛞 look amazing 🤩
Hope you enjoyed your day In Wyoming.
When it rains it snows or visa versa. But hey look. You’re getting real good with those finger snaps. Front right steer on and your shirt changed also.
Looks like Jim is feeling better & thats a great thing. I like that you like you equipment looking good . May i suggest you invest in one of those tire mover thingies?
Prybar under the wheel to help lift them up works pretty good
Awesome video bud
As a long time Polaris owner the happiest they have ever made me was the day I got rid of the last one for a Can-Am....
Honda is the way
Amen on that I got tired of the clutches and the belts replacing them constantly
Have a 95 425 Magnum still going strong and my brother has one to.
That's surprising! Everyone around here is a former Can-Am, current Polaris owner.
Epic video bro
Congrats on reaching the 1 mill subscribers milestone.. so deserving.. Much love and Thanks so much for sharing
Tire Shop playing Nirvana. Nice touch.
Cool video Zach. Love the Polaris machines, wish I had a need to buy one.
Watched the whole video. Nice job and interesting too.
30 minutes of watching Millennial Farmer? Yes please!
Great to see you in such great form Mr Z. Loved the dad jokes.
Wheels look great rangers look great Zach and Becky great video Polaris great all around thank you for sharing and your time
Nice to have Jim back. Truck tires look awesome
17:40 get some mounting spoons… helps a lot!
" One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer " ... lol
Fun trip to Polaris! Didn’t see any shots of my son-in-law… but he is an engineer that designs and test everything from everything that makes them go and stop and everything between.
Wheels turned out really nice. Now time to polish the stacks
36" pry bar on the floor works wonders for taking wheels and tires off. SAVE THAT BACK! 😘
That was a fun video
Nice *cane* holder. can't believe you found a cane that shoots. 😉 Nice video as always. 👍
Thanks for another great video Zach and Becky.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
First of all the latter part of your video where you were at a Polaris facility for new development was super interesting. Assuming you were up north somewhere due to Polaris locations are up north like Minnesota.
Anyway, very interesting seeing the new stuff and the changes in the new units. Exciting to see the new equipment. Nice.
Later on today is the live stream of new equipment. Yeah!!!!!!!
Now back to farming. Finally got
Your red semi with shiny wheels and caps on the wheels. Looks great Zach.
Doing lots of miscellaneous jobs right now it seems. Getting ready for spraying right now with trailer work and the sprayer itself. Haven’t seen much of your dad lately. Still down south yet????
Jim working on a trailer in the shop welding. ???
Heard you say your new planter and tractor are due on the farm next week. Anxious to see them.
About it I guess. Thanks for everything Zach.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Good golly gosh, your comments are as long winded as mine!😂
@@leddielive
Yes i get going and can’t shut my words off. Enjoy doing the feedback.
Thanks.
Hi Zack. Am adding another reply.
Just watched the Polaris live stream on the new machines for 2025!!!!!! I thought it was great. Lots and lots of new items and upgrades for 2025. I thought the live stream was great and most importantly interesting!!!!!!!
Zach, you are going to have to give up farming and do the actor gig full time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did great. Enjoyed it.
Lots of good upgrades in the new models and love the new colors. They really look sharp!!!!!!!!
Thanks again for the head ups on this Polaris live stream.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Hey Steve! Thanks for the kind words. The Polaris facility I was at is in Wyoming, MN. Dad is still down south for another week or so! Thanks again!
Lol. Oh Zac, the amount of times I said "get a tire bar" when you where putting the tires off and on. Seriously, use a tire/3 foot bar next time. And just drive your front end on a some 2x8's. Then your baheimth of a jack will fit.
Someone needs to come out with a true sport cab model! Rzr 1000 Northstar, etc. I’m surprised no manufacturer has yet. I know of several people who would order them tomorrow. 4 seater also.
The Polaris part was very kool
Ask Chet Larson about that fancy Dancy tire tool thing of a jig he has that will role the wheel rite up there instead of lifting. lol
Not called a wheel job, I think it’s usually referred to as a rim job. Looks good no matter what you call it!
Great video thanks for sharing
Nice to see Farm Sip Supreme getting out there!!!
Randy is gonna love his gift!! 😂
