The very first guy who got his house demolished by the "Killdozer" in 2004 was named Cody. He also was the first to fire shots at it to stop it. Irony.... 😂
As a community, we should take our bulldozers to the first annual bulldozer fest to "the rest stop" in colorado. I believe that they would love a bunch of bulldozers cruising along their streets. Maybe, we should visit the municipal building and news station to let them know what we're up to.
Komatsu D355A, an armored bulldozer used in a rampage in Granby, Colorado in 2004. Over about eighteen months, Marvin Heemeyer secretly armored the dozer with layers of steel and concrete. On Friday, June 4, 2004, Heemeyer used the dozer to demolish the Granby town hall, the house of a former mayor, and several other buildings. He deleted himself after the bulldozer got stuck in a hardware store he was destroying.
@@UncleTriangle I could be wrong but I think I remember seeing that the specific bulldozer was destroyed because it was a crime scene and to prevent people from idolizing it

Float planes? That land on water? They built fires under them? Interesting 😉 ive learnt so much from the internets. Lol i had to be a smartazz love ya bro!!

I was a project manager for a bunch of solar in Minnesota. We had a few dirt work companies because multiple sites were going simultaneously. I remember one of the investors from Greece came to a site on a -29F degree morning. Well a dozer and an excavator was frozen to the ground. The civil guys threw a bunch of wood under them and lit it on fire. Well the safety man lost his every loving mind. The dirt crew didn’t care because they were leaving anyways. Can’t kick someone off the job that’s leaving. 😂 the guy from Greece thought the guys were rioting and burning the equipment down.

This brought me back to being a kid in northern Alberta. I love how Cody said his dad taught him. Same way up here. Tiger torches, fires, ether…. My grandpa had a huge gravel pit and concrete company… hearing all the trucks, loaders, dozers, and plant start up was a thing of beauty. The old guys would jump on the equipment and be precision artists with massive machinery! Thing of beauty. Almost could smell the diesel. Thanks for an awesome video Cody. Brought me home to my roots, almost had a tear seeing the old boys. When that generation of hard men pass on, it will be a sad world. Thank you, thank you Cody.
Definitely sad when they pass on.. But there are still many Cody's in this world. I'm the generation before him. Hard men still exist. I think everything will be alright.

The guy that sold you the dozer seems very chill and seems like a very old but yet wise man. Definitely a respectable man too. Also of course you look smaller in the videos but that those already looks ginormous 😊
This has to be one of my favorite videos you've ever released. The videography is great, the flips into that early 2000's grain is so surreal, gets you thinking about the greatness this model of dozer has done in the past.
CODY building a killdozer , Komatsu D355A "Killdozer", an armored bulldozer used in a rampage in Granby, Colorado . Its armor was concrete between steel plates up to a foot thick in places, navigated by cctv, and had gunports for a .50, .308, and .22 long rifles
Foot = ~300mm+ armour of composite(!!!): steel & concrete. Aprox like modern tank frontal armour measouring stright though. You can't beat it easy even with regular modern 2024.Jan.+-year anti-tank weapones like as RPG's; Javelin's; ATGW's; NLAW's; FPV Drones; etc... even two decades laltter, since Marv's event. Also good luck with 105mm US Abrams M1 232-U shells at close to stight angles: less than 45 deg, closer than mile ~1.5km (maybe I'm wrong, just correct me). Just my opinion. P.S. I have been shoot all of them: .50; .308; .22, 12 gauge, 30-06, etc., my opinion: Useles at all against Marvel of Marv'.
If you need any work or restoration done on that dozer, I'd recommend reaching out to C&C Equipment in Southern Indiana. They do a ton of work and restoration on older, larger sized dozers. That way the dozers looking its best when it falls into a hardware store basement, or uh... I mean when its making you money at work for your excavation company.

The very first guy who got his house demolished by the "Killdozer" in 2004 was named Cody. He also was the first to fire shots at it to stop it. Irony.... 😂
Then he was dumb enough to try stop it with a little front loader lol
His first stop is gonna be some guy Marvin's house
@@dozerfarms Haha yes, so if your Cody's friend and your name happens to be Marvin... Sell up and run! 😂
As a community, we should take our bulldozers to the first annual bulldozer fest to "the rest stop" in colorado. I believe that they would love a bunch of bulldozers cruising along their streets. Maybe, we should visit the municipal building and news station to let them know what we're up to.
I think the bulldozer festival should be moved to Washington DC

Komatsu D355A, an armored bulldozer used in a rampage in Granby, Colorado in 2004. Over about eighteen months, Marvin Heemeyer secretly armored the dozer with layers of steel and concrete. On Friday, June 4, 2004, Heemeyer used the dozer to demolish the Granby town hall, the house of a former mayor, and several other buildings. He deleted himself after the bulldozer got stuck in a hardware store he was destroying.
Reasonable men need to become unreasonable every so often
I was thinking that he was buying the actual dozer from this story.
Never happened. They filmed the entire kill dozer thing on the same sound stage they filmed the moon landings on.
@@UncleTriangle I could be wrong but I think I remember seeing that the specific bulldozer was destroyed because it was a crime scene and to prevent people from idolizing it
first thing that came to mind is fucking Killdozer haha
These guys worked and froze their asses off to get that thing going. I almost shed a tear when she fired up, that was a lot of work, good job.
Grow up
I remember hearing in a lecture, up north in alaska, the float pilots would end up starting fires underneath their engines just to get them started. So what he's doing is a tried and tested method.
Float planes? That land on water? They built fires under them? Interesting 😉 ive learnt so much from the internets. Lol i had to be a smartazz love ya bro!!
The shot of the fires smoke coming out of the radiator is one of the coolest things. And the genuine happiness on Cody's face when it starts is incredible! You guys are awesome and I can't wait to see what comes from this

as a logger from northern minnesota nothing made me as proud as cody starting that fire under the belly pan. been there done that! absolutely mint boys! 👌👌 send it!
You get that on these big jobs, all his experience was probably school and not on the job @@RadDadisRad

So well said 😂😂❤❤😂
Bro is really going historically accurate with this one 💀💀💀
Cody is awesome, “4 inch plates on the side” 🤣🤣🤣 for warmth, you’re making that damn kill dozer 🤣🤣
Sick story bro
My son was so stoked to see this video- he's an absolute gearhead h ya'll were less than a mile from our house. With all your trips to the hardware store, we thank you for the business (our family store) Hope you like the sandwiches too 😉
Hey are you guys the hardware shop attached to the petrol station? If so I visited you last September, all the way from south England! I remember passing through Seeley lake on my way to the Bob, and I thought it was pretty cool seeing the town pop up in this video, small world hey. Some beautiful country you live in!
John is a legend. Hope we see more of him after this "project" is finished!
I gotta give it to Cody for having a whole team of people that all know what they’re doing. I wish I had all that mechanical knowledge
This is my favorite video you've released in years. Old owner is a real American.
It takes a lot of effort to get a channel to the point where you get sustainable views on videos without having anywhere near consistent uploads. Really shows how hard Cody is working
To be fair, he gets up at 4am in winter to start a fire under a bulldozer to get it started. He’s got he the work ethic
@@imaverageatgamesbutimostly3431 contrary to most of the haters opinions, he actually did come from nothing and is able and willing to do actual hard work. he built everything he is and his family did the same :P

CODY building a killdozer , Komatsu D355A "Killdozer", an armored bulldozer used in a rampage in Granby, Colorado
. Its armor was concrete between steel plates up to a foot thick in places, navigated by cctv, and had gunports for a .50, .308, and .22 long rifles
He couldnt make up his mind so he went for the largest caliber and the smallest?
No shit, you don't say.
@@FactoryDragon87M1 Abrams 105mm rounds can penetrate over double that

If you need any work or restoration done on that dozer, I'd recommend reaching out to C&C Equipment in Southern Indiana. They do a ton of work and restoration on older, larger sized dozers. That way the dozers looking its best when it falls into a hardware store basement, or uh... I mean when its making you money at work for your excavation company.

If anyone didn't catch that, cody said basements are a downside because if you research kill dozer; you'll soon find out the demise of the kill dozer was in fact a basement.
It was already severely overheating, but yeah that basement put an end to it.....
Fun fact the killdozer was also a komatsu D355 so that is why he's stating quotes about the killdozer
I thought the killdozer was a slightly smaller dozer, around 80,000 pounds . But looking again, I see it was indeed a 355....
