When a golf club company has their product made overseas, it's far more likely you are going to see copies. The specs are not secret and are easily duplicated. When you can get three of these wedges for the price of one vokey, you kind of wonder if it's worth handing that much profit to Titleist.
Gabe I gamed the Gen 1s until 2-months ago. I bought the Gen 1 after your review and as soon as they were available in the UK. I was not sure if I needed a set of wedges and affordability to performance ratio the Gen 1s were a no brainier. I found I used the 56 and SW most and decided to settle on 2 wedges. I must say I have nothing but good things to say about the Gen 1. I now have a Vokey 52 and 58 which suit my game. I was also able to get fitted. But I would highly recommend KS products. It would good to see the data for all three sets in your bag today.
Nice!! I have a set and have 2 rounds in. I’m not as skilled with a 60* wedge. These are part of my 2nd bag. I set gap wedge @ 49* and play a 54* and 58* Cleveland Rtx in my other bag. However..I have fell in love with the K Sig 56*. I was pulling it out for for anything 60 yards in. This weekend. I may shelf the 60* but I plan on getting some more practice with it first. Need more confidence with the 60* Thanks Gabe for the review. Better yet Costco please sell individual irons 50-8*, 54-10*, 56-10*and 60! @ 60$ a wedge that would be awesome
Great job through out with your "Costco Crusade"!I'm running there tomorrow to see if our local store has gotten the wedges. Thanks for keeping your finger on the release.
I completely agree with you on the feel and performance of these Kirkland's over Vokey as well as even the Mack Daddy wedges. Currently I only have the 52° K sig, I picked up on whatnot and absolutely love it!!
Bend playing gen one for over a year and fine them to be excellent now I’ll be looking for gen 2 best value for what you get thanks again for your input
I snatched a set about three weeks ago. I like them but... Yep, there is always a butt. I hit a 50/54/60 normally and I had to keep the SM8 50 degree because the difference in distance was too great from PW to 52 (TM P790s) and I'm considering going back to the 54 for a similar issue although I like the way the wedges spin up and do well around the greens. I don't think I can get the 56 bent to 54 which would be ideal since the SM8 is pretty much worn down. Still, the 60 is money and the 56 is good as well.
@@LetsPlayThru yeah. I have. I’d have to chat with a buddy that does that and I’m sure I’ll get the, ‘you want to bend a Costco Wedge?’ Along with that look people give when you buy stuff like this. Let’s face it, snobbery is big in the golf community. For the vast majority the Costco wedges are just fine but some folks will still look at you like you aren’t serious about golf. That attitude makes the game harder, more expensive, and less fun.
@@tcofield1967 I bought the v2s and took them to a local club fitter to have the lie - not the loft - bent two degrees. Although they're cast, he said they were "like butter." MUst be using a soft steel

How is the weight? They were too light for my liking so I wonder if that changed. And it also does not appear the Kirkland irons are a go this year...but maybe they are going back to the drawing board.
Picked up a set today, can’t wait to hit em! Of course I’m watching after I bought them, but had enough Info already, just getting hyped. My wedge is 44 my A is 48, so the 52, 56, 60 match perfect
Got an inside scoop about the new Kirkland Driver and iron set…look out for them first week of October. If you’re saying the wedges feel better than your vokeys, then I’m sure the irons and driver would be of similar quality. Can’t wait!!
I started playing 2 years ago with the callaway edge set from costco and I've really been considering new wedges for a while now- something about the Edge wedges just doesn't work well for me, tend to hook everything left that requires 3/4+ of a swing, and the sand wedge feels *really* bad for me around the greens compared to some rented clubs I've used in the past. I've already upgraded my driver, think these are worthy of my next upgrade?
Is there a reason there's pretty much no golfzon wave reviews yet? I know movies and games will set a release date for reviews... Is this what's happening?
Yes along with loft variations. With todays clubs I feel like 50,54,58 is a better range for most. But I’m sure they’ve researched the market and come up with what they assume to be the best compromise.
@@LetsPlayThru I agree most should be playing 50 54 58 but what people buy and what they should be playing rarely line up. The lack of relief on the gen 1 was my only complaint. They’re in my second bag. That these are available at such good prices will bother me every time I miss a chip
Have been playing the wedges for over a year (the old model) an i will hard to convince to update my wedges people always say Costco clubs but i have shut down a lot of people with them my boss is going a set so i will let know about the new ones
See if these wedges are just as good as big names. The biggest thing about wedges is new grooves. If I can buy new grooves that wins 10/10 times over used big brand wedges just on groove life alone. I'll have to keep a look out for these at cosco!!
I can vouch as long as I put a good square strike on the 56* it had ample amount of back/side spin. I’m not a pro by any means but with practice these are a value set. Changed the grips though but the original are passable for a while.
@@cleve0h appreciate it! Yeah I mean why buy used wedges of a good brands when you can buy brand new wedges with new grooves at the same or lesser price. I get it if we're talking about Irons but wedges is mostly about grooves. Im definitely keeping an eye out for sure!
I'm just not interested in a club with "Kirkland Signature" emblazoned on it anywhere. If they could just use an understated KS logo then absolutely. But the logo is enough to kill it for me.
Lmao... They clearly aren't making the club for someone like you. Relax. They want the logo to look like that on purpose. Look, you're talking about it. Good or bad. If my opinion offends you for some reason, well, ok, that has nothing to do with me. Your feelings are none of my business or concern. 🙄
Indi Golf in Carlsbad designs the wedges, but not sure who does the manufacturing. Most likely made in china, unfortunately. I have the first gen and like them. I replaced the grips due to the Kirkland grips are a bit undersized. I was hoping Kirkland would make full face wedges. Can't wait for the Indi/Kirkland iron set to come out. Great and honest review as always Gabe.
I agree with your comments needing a 50-54-58 set to better suit the stronger lofted iron sets.

Hi Gabe. Rumor has it that the Kirkland hollow body irons and driver is due to release beginning of November.
I can’t wait, I’ll camp out for that!!
I have often thought of purchasing a set, but like you the 50, 54 & 58 would suit me best instead of the 52, 56 & 60!

LW - 60 degrees
SW - 56 degrees
