I have a great wedge game, the green keeper just never puts the cup in the right spot. 😂
In his defence, It’s a bit hard getting the cup to stand up in the bunker though.
Also in the greenkeepers defense, it’s extremely hard to put the cup in the water
When I started no wedges just opened up the 9 iron and worked great in the sand ,i just carry a 56 and good enough.
Just had to change my wedges, PW was 42deg and wedges were 52deg and a 56deg, so have changed to second hand 48deg, 54deg and a 60 deg to even my gapping out.
I just broke my PW this past weekend. I had my clubs in my garage for a few weeks and we had some pretty low temps. Par 3. 135 yards. Pure strike…and the club basically snapped in half 😩 now I’m in dire need of a new PW.
JB wedges from Sub 70. Fully customizable and just about as good as it gets for the price.
I use my cleveland smart sole chipper along with 50. degree 56. 58. wedges.I have no problem getting around the greens.Buying second hand is great just gotta look at the pics real close.
I just got some old nike wedges..56 and 60 for 40 quid
They'll do for me..I can't get proper spin anyway so they'll do me for another couple years
I play the Honma 48 (which I love for 100 yds) and then wilson staff 54/60. Very nice soft feeling wedges and the bounce works for me.
I buy wedges brand new but last years model. I want new groves for cheap. Bought a cobra 56 for cirka 60£ here in sweden. About the same for my 60 degree.
So I play cobra wedges since its so much cheaper for brand new stuff.
Love to practice my wedges game. Its the easiest thing to so when I have an extra 15 minutes to spare on my way home from work before i need to pick the kids up from school. Just pop in and do some short game stuff and it shows so much on my confidence out on the course later on.
I got a set of the ram tour grind wedges for £90, really like them, quality seems decent

I bought the Kirkland wedges. They look and perform exactly like my old Vokeys. I don't really need the 52, but the 56 & 60 fit right in. I caught them on sale for $120 for the set of 3 wedges. $40 per club. You CANNOT BEAT THAT!! Grips were the weak point, but that's easily and cheaply remedied.

@SASGolf question I have is should it be a "wedge set" (same makes and models) or does having different wedges makes and models for AW, SW and LW make it harder to build a solid wedge game?
Great video. I was going to get the kirkland wedges until I watched this. My PW is 44 degree's though so goijg for a 50 54 58 now
Bought a used set of Titleist 718 AP1 irons last summer that came with a 48deg Cleveland RTX3 and loved that wedge (PW in the AP1's is 43deg). Have since picked up 52 and 56 RTX3 wedges to match. Took a little while find ones that were still in good condition/price, but I am more than satisfied. My gapping is much better than my old set matching wedges (TM RBZ irons and wedges). Really enjoy your channel, it's not always about the newest and shiniest. Play what works. As a note, I think Cleveland makes the best black finish wedges.
just picked up a slightly used Wilson for 50 GBP, and the new ones are selling for 90 right now as its almost time for a new 58
Heck... I'll carry any sand wedge, as long as it is a Vokey 56/10 S grind! 😁
Just got two brand new Cleveland zip core wedges (54)-(60). For 120 shipped to my door
I'm not sure my 52 is a 52 degree wedge anymore. I can hit it 125-130 yards if caught cleanly. But my 56 goes around 70-80yards.

Never buy second hand wedges , a brand new wedge will spin way better than a used wedge all day I’m going to get the kirklands as my next wedges as they are cheap enough to update often

I'm a 6 hdcp atm and play gen 2 kirklands. As good as vokeys I played previous ones. Only down side is you cant change the bounce or degrees. But for $169 for 3 wedges, are you blind not to buy them?

The club manufacturers have strengthened lofts so they can sell you a set of wedges and hybrids........more money obviously.
If i were to have only one wedge would a 56° be it?
I would go 54/10 heel/sole relief with the grind for playing around with the club face.

I have 50, 56, 60 ….. playing off high single figures ( they are all off eBay) probably should have a little less loft as my PW is 44 but I hit the 56 and 60 really well and there is less of a gap than the lofts would suggest - either that or the lofts on them are no longer correct ( they are both Mac daddy and the 60 is a pm grind that I love the look of, I know ppl say amateurs shouldn’t have a 60 but I am so confident with it).
Kirkland is the best cheap brand. Vokey if you want real ones. It's that simple.
